Letzte Woche sind 30 neue ZIG-Marker-Farben erschienen. Als jemand mit Full-Set-Syndrom musste ich die natürlich gleich haben. Dass das komplette neue Set nur aus Blau- und Grüntönen besteht, fand ich klasse. Und dann wollte ich eine Karte nur mit den neuen Farben machen. Also habe ich mich auf die Suche nach einem Motiv gemacht, das ich in Blau und Grün colorieren konnte, und bin bei Blumen gelandet. Deshalb ist diese Danke-Karte entstanden

Last week ZIG released 30 new of their Real Brush markers. For me having Full-Set-Syndrom I of course needed to get them right away. That this new set only contains blues and greens is just a plus for me. So I wanted to make a card using some of those new colors only, and I went through my stash to look for an image, that I could color in greens and blues. I ended up with flowers. And that's why this thank you card was made.
Für den Hintergrund habe ich einen der neuen Grüntöne auf Folie aufgetragen, mit Wasser bespritzt und dann direkt auf ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock gedrückt. Die Lage habe ich getrocknet, eine zweite aufgetragen etc - Ihr kennt Ink Smooshing ja.
For the background I scribbled some of one of the new greens onto a piece of acetate, spritzed a bit of water on top and pressed the acetate onto a piece of watercolor cardstock. After drying this layer, I added a second one etc - you all know how ink smooshing works.
Die Blumen sind aus dem Set Corner Flowers von MamaElephant. Ich habe sie silber auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst und dann coloriert. Für einige der Blüten habe ich vier verschiedene eher türkisfarbene Blautöne, für einige eher dunkle Blautöne benutzt. Außderm kamen für die Blätter 3 verschiedene Grüntöne zum Einsatz.
Anschließend habe ich die Blüten-Ecken ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Die beiden Blüten oben rechts waren ein Motiv - ich habe die Blätter hier versetzt -, das habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt, für die anderen habe ich dickeres 3D Tape benutzt.
Dann habe ich weißes Copic Opaque White, gemischt mit ein wenig Wasser, über den Hintergrund und die Motive gespritzt.
The flowers are from the Corner Flowers stamp set by MamaElephant. I silver heat embossed them onto watercolor cardstock and colored them in. I went with four different tones of some more aqua-ish blues for some of the flowers, for the others I used some 3 tones of a deeper blue. I also used three different tones of green for the leaves.
I cut the flower corner out and attached them to the background with foam tape. The two flowers on the top right were an extra image - I cut out the leaves individually and added them at a different spot -, I used thin foam tape to attach these, for the two bigger images I went with thicker foam tape.
Then I mixed some Copic Opaque White with a bit of water and flicked it over the background and the images.
Für den Text habe ich eine Thanks-Stanze von MFT dreimal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und die Teile aufeinander geklebt. Eigentlich wollte ich die erstmal auflegen und dann schauen, welche Cardstockfarbe ich als oberste Lage verwenden könnte. Dann hat mir weiß aber so gut gefallen, dass ich dabei geblieben bin.
Die kleineren Texte sind aus dem Stempelset Itty Bitty Thanks, auch von MFT, und weiß auf Vellum embosst. Um sie unsichtbar aufkleben zu können, habe ich die Streifen durch meinen Xyron gedreht und sie dann aufgeklebt.
Als Deko habe ich noch einige weiß-irisierende Perlen auf der Karte verteilt.
For the text I die cut a thanks three times from white cardstock using a die by MFT and stacked the die cuts. I originally wanted to put them on the card and then decide, which color to use for the top layer. But then I liked white so much that I went with it.
The smaller texts are from the Itty Bitty Thanks stamp set, also by MFT, and white heat embossed onto vellum. To be able to adhere them invisibly, I ran the strips through my Xyron and then attached them to the card.
To decorate my card I added a few white iridescennt pearls to it.
Ganz zum Schluss habe ich die Karte nur noch auf ein Stück blau-grau-lilafarbenen Cardstock - ich weiß, das ist keine Farbe, aber ich kann sie einfach nicht besser beschreiben - und dann auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
To finish the card I adhered my decorated card panel to a piece of blue-grey-purple-ish cardstock - I know, that's not a color but I don't know how to describe it better - and then onto a white note card.
