Farbe trifft Stempel #1

Hier stehen Stempel und Coloration im Fokus und wir zeigen Euch viele Ideen mit Stempeln deutscher Hersteller, die alle wirklich phantastische Preise sponsern. Jedes Challenge-Thema läuft 3 Tage und wir starten mit "heutiger Lieblingsstempel".

Maybe you've already got notice from our posts on IG - if not, you'll know about it today. The whole month in october we're having  a "Farbe trifft Stempel" - color meets stamps - challenge. Stamps and coloring are put into focus and we're sharing a bunch of inspiration with stamps from german stamp brands. And these all are sponsoring some amazing prices. Each challenge theme will run for three days and we're starting with "today's favorite stamp".

 

 Nun ist es so, dass ich so etwas wie einen "Lieblingsstempel" nicht habe. Aber "heutiger Lieblingsstempel", das kann ich. Der hängt von allem möglichen ab - dem Wetter, der Jahreszeit, meiner Stimmung und auch, auf was ich gerade Lust habe. Und hier war mir nach "Herbst". 

Also habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstock in Kartengröße zugeschnitten und mit einem Embossingfolder Holzdielen eingeprägt. 

Ich wollte den Cardstock nicht wischen, also habe ich stattdessen nur mittig etwas Distress Mica Spray Unravelled aufgesprüht. 

 

Well, I don't have a "favorite stamp", but "today's favorite stamp", that's something I can do. It really depends on all kind of tings - the weather, time of year, my mood and also what I feel like doing. Here I wanted to do "fall".

I cut a piece of white cardstock the size of my card base and used an embossingfolder to dry emboss some wood pattern into it.

I didn't want to ink the background so instead I sprayed some Distress Mica Spray just onto the center of that cardstock piece.

 

 Bei "Farbe trifft Stempel" steht natürlich das Motiv im Fokus. Ich habe hier die Stempelsets Obst und Sonnenblumen von Memories for You verwendet. Außerdem habe ich später noch ein paar Eicheln aus dem Herbstbär-Set von Stampcorner hinzugefügt.

Schwarze Outlines erschienen mir hier zu hart, also habe ich gleich auf No-Line Coloring umgeschwenkt. Die Motive sind mit dem No-Line Stempelkissen von InkOn3 auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.  Alle Motive habe ich dann erst mit Copics coloriert. Dabei habe ich zwar auf helle und dunkle Bereiche geachtet, die wirklichen Details habe ich aber erst anschließend mit Polychromos hinzugefügt. Ich liebe die Kombi aus diesen beiden Medien, vor allem beim No-Line Coloring. 

Mit einem weißen Gelstift habe ich einige wenige Highlights gesetzt und dann alles per Hand ausgeschitten. 

 

Of course the image is the focus when the name of the challenge is "color meets stamps". I used the sets Obst and Sonnenblumen by Memories for You on my card. Later I also added some acorns from Herbstbär by Stampcorner.

Black outlines seemed very hard here so I decided to do some no-line coloring. I stamped the images with the No-Line ink pad by InkOn3 onto white cardstock and colored them with Copics. I cared about light and dark areas, but all the fine details I added in the next step using my Polychromos. I love the combination of those two, especially when doing no-line coloring. 

I used a white gel pen to add just a few highlights and then cut the images out with my scissors.

 

 Für den Text auf meiner Karte habe ich den Text "bunte Herbstgrüße" aus dem Set Der Herbst ist Da von Create a Smile weiß auf braunen Cardstock embosst und dann das Herbst herausgeschnitten. Das habe ich dann durch ein gestanztes Wort aus dem Herbstliche Grüße Schriftstanzen-Set von Farbton. Ich habe es einmal aus braunem Cardstock und einmal aus rose-goldenem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt. Den Balken am unteren Ende habe ich weggeschnitten. 

Aus dem selben Spiegelcardstock habe ich noch einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames von Create a Smile gestanzt und als Rahmen für die Motive und den Text benutzt.

 

The text on my card means "colorful fall greetings". I white heat embossed part of the text onto brown cardstock, then cut the word fall from both brown cardstock and rose-gold mirror cardstock. 

From the same mirror cardstock I also die cut one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames by Create a Smile and used that to frame both my images and the text.

 

 Zwischen die Motive habe ich 3D Tape gesetzt, um die Karte plastischer wirken zu lassen. 

Dann habe ich als Deko nur ein paar farblich zum Rahmen passende Perlen aufgeklebt.

 

I put foam tape between the images to add some dimension to the card. 

As decoration I added just a few pearl, that match the color of the die cut frame.

 

Und weil ich so oft Kommentare in Richtung "Deine Karten sind immer so perfekt" höre, beweise ich Euch heute, dass der Weg dahin manchmal steinig ist. Denn zuerst sah die Karte so aus:

 

And because I often hear "your cards are always so perfect" I am going to proof that the way there is hard sometimes. Because this is what my card looked like first:

 

 Ich hatte einen Blätterrahmen mit Sprays besprüht und dahinter braunen Cardstock und Birkenstämme gesetzt, über alles kam eine Lage Vellum. Darauf dann der Rahmen und die Motive, so wie sie jetzt auf meiner Karte zu finden sind. Aber das war alles viel zu wirr und dunkel. Also habe ich die Karte zerpflückt, den kompletten Hintergrund abgerissen und nur den Rahmen mit den Motiven auf den weißen Holzhintergrund geklebt. Das waren dann mal 2 Stunden Arbeit für die Tonne... aber am Ende wurde ja alles gut, finde ich zumindest.

 

I had sprayed a leafy frame with color and put dark brown cardstock and  birch trees behind that, then put a layer of vellum on top. Then I added the frame and the images, just like they are on my final card. But that backdrop was way too busy and dark. So I took the card apart, tore off the complete background and only used the frame and the images on the white wood background. I invested two hours for nothing... but in the end everything worked out, at least that's what I think.
