Cupcake Craft # 112

"Scary Creatures".... Das ist das Thema bei der neuen Cupcake Craft Challenge. Natürlich soll sich keiner wirklich fürchten und darum sollen die Karten natürlich hauptsächlich süß sein! Und wer Halloween schon satt hat darf sich gerne bei mir beschweren, das Thema ist nämlich "auf meinem Mist gewachsen". Auf der anderen Seite - momentan ist es so populär, vielleicht lassen sich ja ein paar Challenges verbinden!

"Scary Creatures".... That´s our new theme over at Cupcake Craft. Of course we don´t want to really scare anyone and so just make a cute card. And if you are sich of all those Halloween challenges may blame it on me - it was my week to pick the theme. On the other side - since the theme is that popular at the moment for sure you can combine a few challenges in one project!

Ich habe für meine Karte die Teelichter-Karte abgewandelt, so daß ein Nussini in die Box paßt - die Farben sind so schön halloween-isch... ;o)

I changed the tealight card a bit so one of those yummy Nussini is fitting in the box - the colors were so wonderfully halloween-ish... ;o)

Habt Ihr auch so tolles Wetter? Wir mauern im Garten gerade unseren Pizzaofen- und Brotbackofen wieder auf. Trotzdem wollte ich unbedingt eine Karte machen und lasse also meinen Mann inzwischen Schamotte-Steine schneiden.
Entstanden ist die Karte nach dem Sketch beim Cuttlebugspot:

Is it as sunny and warm at your end of the world as it is here? We´re in the middle of re-building our pizza and bread oven in our garden. But I wanted to make a card also and so my hubby is cutting stones while I´m in my craft room.

Die Farbkombi ist die Vorgabe der allerersten Hänglar Only Challenge: rosa und grün.

The color combo is given by the very first Hänglar Only challenge: pink and green.

Da bei A Spoon Full Of Sugar das Thema "flower delight" heißt, habe ich viele Blüten um das Motiv gesetzt.

Since the new theme at A Spoon Full Of Sugar is called "flower delight" I placed a lot of flowers around the image.

Everybody Art hätte gerne "things with wings", also etwas mit Flügeln.

At Everybody Art they want to see "things with wings".

Bei Crafty Angels darf man seinen Lieblings-Stempel benutzen. Oh, das war schwer! Als ich mich dann aber für eine Hänglar entschieden hatte, war klar, daß es dieser sein mußte. Er ist soooo süß!

At Crafty Angels they want us to use our favourite stamp. Oh, this was hard! But once I decided to use a Hänglar it was sure I had to use this one - it´s so cute!

Das Hintergrundpapier ist durch die Cuttlebug gedreht und dann mit Schleifpapier bearbeitet. Für die große Blüte habe ich eine Leinen-Blume, geschnitten mit einer Sizzix-Schablone, zwei kleinere Blüten der selben Schablone aus Tüll und eine Papierblume aufeinander gesetzt. Die Papiere sind von Basic Grey.

The background paper was run through the Cuttlebug and then sanded. For the big flower I layered a flower cut from linnen using a Sizzix die, two smaller ones from the same die cut from tulle and a paper flower. Papers are by Basic Grey.

Belles´n´Whistles Mittwoch-Post

Ich bin wieder an der Reihe, den heutigen Post auf dem Belles´n´Whistles Blog zu machen. Und diesmal habe ich eine verzierte Mailbox für Euch... Es handelt sich um eine rote Metall-Mailbox, die ich von meiner lieben Rheannon letztes Jahr geschickt bekommen habe. Ich wußte, irgendwann kommt der perfekte Moment, sie zu benutzen. Meine Mädels sind momentan groß am Briefe schreiben, kleine liebe Botschaften an ihre besten Freunde. Und sie haben sich extra eine Box eingerichtet, sozusagen ihre ganz persönliche Mailbox. Und so kam mir die Idee.

It´s my turn to do today´s post at the Belles´n´Whistles blog. And today I have an altered mailbox for you... It´s one of those red metall mailbox tins you can get at Target - I got mine sent from my dear friend Rheannon last year and I knew there will be the perfect project to use it for. My girls are writing a lot of notes to their very best friends at the moment and made themselves little boxes to store those notes they get back. That´s how I got this idea.



Ich habe mal wieder einen Stempel aus der allerersten Kollektion von Belles´n´Whistles verwendet: Belle Sitting With Teddy. Sie schaut für mich genau so aus, als ob sie auf Post warten würde. Mit der Spitze an der Seite der Mailbox habe ich versuch, die Rüschen an Belle´s Bluse nachzuahmen.
Farblich habe ich mich ganz in rot, weiß und etwas grau bewegt. Sogar Belle´s Haare haben einen leichten Rotstich, weil ich ein kräftiges Rotbraun zum Colorieren verwendet habe.

I decided to use one of the stamps from the very first Belles´n´Whisltes collection again: Belle Sitting With Teddy. She seems to sit there, waiting for a love note to come in. I tried to make the lace on the end of the mailbox look a bit like the lace on Belle´s shirt.
I only used white, red and some grey for this project. Even Belle´s hair is red since I used a dark red-brown to color it.

Das hellgraue Papier habe ich mit der Cuttlebug und dem Script Folder embosst. Darüber habe ich etwas rote Distress Inks gegeben.
Der Friends-Stempel auf dem Fähnchen ist von Stampin´Up, genauso wie die Stanze mit dem Zweig und dem Vogel. Die Blumen sind alle von Prima und in der Mitte haben sie ein kleines Glitzersteinchen. Das gemusterte Papier auf der Klappe ist von DCWV, zum Colorieren habe ich Copics verwendet.

The light grey paper was embossed using the Cuttlebug and the Script folder. I added some red Distress Ink to make the embossed area to pop out a bit more.
The friends stamp on the wiper is by Stampin´Up, so is the punch I used for the branch and the bird. Flowers are by Prima and I added a little rhinestone to the center. The patterned paper on the opening side is by DCWV, I used Copics to color the image in.

Irgendwie hatte ich wohl eine Vorahnung - denn diese Woche ist auf dem Cuttlebugspot das Thema, eine Mailbox zu basteln oder verzieren. Ich wußte das vorher wirklich nicht!
Außerdem habe ich das Rezept von A Spoon Full Of Sugar verwendet: 1 Motivpapier, 1 x Embossing, 1 Knopf, 1 Band.


Somehow I must have had a special feeling because this week the theme over at the Cuttlebugspot is to create or alter a mailbox. I really didn´t know that before!
I also followed the recipe over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar: 1 patterned paper, 1 embossing, 1 button, 1 ribbon.

Cupcake Craft Challenge # 62 DT card, Cuttlebugspot monochromatic and Stamp With Fun # 29

"Things that go bump in the night" ist das Motto der Cupcake Craft Challenge # 62. Keine Angst, diese Kreaturen werden Euch nichts tun. Aber wir möchten sie gerne auf Euren Halloween-Karten sehen.
Auf meiner Karte macht sich die süße kleine Hexe von Belles´n´Whistles, designed by Elisabeth Bell, auf in die Nacht und die Jagd nach Süßem. Ich habe die Karte monochrom in verschiedenen Braun-Grau-Tönen gehalten. Der "Text" ist aus messingfarbenen Metallplättchen, in die die Buchstaben eingeprägt sind. Der craftfarbene Cardstock hinter dem Motiv ist mit der Cuttlebug und dem Spinnennetz-Folder geprägt.

Außerdem möchte ich meine Karte für die Stamp With Fun Challenge # 29 "einreichen", die ebenfalls das Thema Halloween haben sowie den Cuttlebugspot, die das Thema "monochromatic" gewählt haben.

"Things that go bump in the night" is the dare we have for you this week over at Cupcake Craft Challenge. No need to be scared! Just put them on your Halloween cards for us.
I once again used this cute little witch by Belles´n´Whistles, designed by Elisabeth Bell and sent her out in the night to get herself some sweet treats. I did a monochromatic card using browny greyish colors. "Saying" is made with metall plates in which the letters are embossed in. The craft colored cardstock is embossed using the Cuttlebug and the spiderweb embossing folder.

I also want to submit this card to challenge # 29 over at Stamp With Fun where they also have the theme Halloween and for the Cuttlebugspot, where they´ve chosen "monochromatic" as their challenge´s theme. Miss you girls!

Cuttlebug spot challenge # 50

Bevor ich Euch etwas über die neue Challenge beim Cuttlebugspot erzähle muß ich erst eine traurige Nachricht bekannt geben: Dies ist meine letzte DT Karte für den Cuttlebugspot. Ich bin DT Mitglied seit der ersten Challenge, also seit genau einem Jahr. Und ich habe jede einzelne Challenge genossen und hatte viel Spaß. Aber es hat sich bei mir in letzter Zeit so viel geändert und irgendwo mußte ich etwas kürzer treten. Nach langem Überlegen habe ich dann entschieden, meinen DT Platz für jemand anderen frei zu machen. Aber ich werde sicher so oft ich kann bei den Challenges mitmachen!
Meine letzte Challenge trägt das Thema "Herbst". Ich habe meine Karte nach diesem Sketch von Card Patterns gemacht:

Before I tell you more about the new challenge over at the Cuttlebugspot I have to tell you some sad news: this is my very last card as a DT member over at the Cuttlebugspot. I have been a DT member from the very first challenge which means since exactly one year - and I enjoyed every single one of the challenges. But so many things changed during the last weeks and I had to cut down somewhere. After a lot of thinking I decided to step down from the DT and make my spot free for someone else. But for sure I will join the challenges whenever I can!
My very last challenge is called "fall". I made my card following this sketch from Card Patterns:

The Cuttlebug Spot # 48

"Confetti Creations" ist das neue Thema auf The Cuttlebugspot. Hierbei wird Papier embosst, in feine Streifen geschnitten und anschließend Ziehharmonika-artig gefaltet. Dieses Confetti ist dann wunderschön, um zum Beispiel Boxen zu füllen aber auch direkt auf Bastelprojekten sieht es toll aus. Schaut unbedingt auf dem Cuttlebugspot vorbei um die tollen Ideen zu sehen, die die anderen DT-Mitglieder hatten!
Ich habe ein Pommes-Box gemacht, die ich dann mit Schokolade und natürlich den Confetti gefüllt habe. Passend dazu habe ich die A Little Yummy-Stempel von Stampin-Up verwendet, um die Box zu verzieren.
Das Bild ist etwas komisch geworden - war wohl zu viel blau für meine Kamera...

"Confetti creations", that´s the new theme over at the Cuttlebugspot. Therefor you emboss some paper, cut it into fine strips and then fold it. These confetti are beautiful to fill boxes with but also look great on other projects. Make sure to head on over to the Cuttlebugspot to see the other DT members´ creations!
I made a french fries container, filled it with chocolate and the confetti. Matching the sweets inside I used the A Little Yummy stamp set by Stampin´Up to decorate my box.
The pic turned out some strange - seems like there was too much blue for my camera on this project...

Ich habe auf meiner Karte ein Sarah Kay Motiv verwendet, der Cardstock ist mit einem meiner Lieblings-Embossingfolders "Textile" embosst. Das Papier ist von My Minds Eye, der Text von Stampin´Up.

The Cuttlebugspot Challenge # 41

"Christmas in july" ist auch das Thema für die 41. Challenge auf The Cuttlebugspot - schließlich kann man nie früh genug mit den Weihnachtsbasteleien beginnen.
Die Weihnachtskugel ist ein combo die von Cuttlebug, das heißt, sie wird erst ausgestanzt und dann embosst. Ich habe sie noch ein wenig mit Schleifpapier bearbeitet, um die embossten Stellen noch mehr hervor zu heben. Darauf habe ich dann die süße Tilda platziert. Die Schneeflocken und Sterne sind ebenfalls eine Stanzform von Cuttlebug und ich habe etwas limegreen Stickles daraufgetan. Farblich bin ich vielleicht nicht klassisch weihnachtlich geblieben, aber schließlich ist erst Juli...LOL

"Christmas in july" is the theme we have chosen for our challenge # 41 over at The Cuttlebugspot - you never can start early enough with all your holiday projects.
The christmas ornament was cut using a combo die by Cuttlebug. First you cut it and then emboss. I also used some sanding paper on it. And on top of it I sat this cute Tilda. The snowflakes and stars are even made using a Cuttlebug die and I´ve added some limegreen Stickles to make them shimmer. Probably the colors I´ve used are not the typical christmas ones but it´s just july...LOL

The Cuttlebugspot Challenge # 39

What´s inside? Unter diesem Motto steht die 39. Challenge auf dem Cuttlebugspot. Und ja, wir möchten gerne das Innere Eurer Karten sehen. Natürlich wäre es schön, wenn Ihr dazu auch die Karte selbst zeigen würdet.
Ich habe mich für das sitzende Gorjuss Girl aus dem allerersten Set entschieden. Die Kreise um sie herum sind auf der Vorder- und der Innenseite in verschiedenen Größen gewählt. Farblich war mir mal nach türkis und blau - auch weil mir die Idee gefiel, die Haare in blau zu colorieren.
Die Quadrate auf der Karte sowie den Streifen innen habe ich mit einem der neuen Cuttlebug Embossing Folders embosst, die ja bei uns - im Gegensatz zu den USA - schon zu haben sind. Ja, auch das soll vorkommen.
Ich habe für meine Karte einen älteren Sketch von Lilli of the Valley genommen:

What´s inside? That´s our question at challenge # 39 over at The Cuttlebugspot. And yes, we want to see the inside of your cards. Of course we would love to see the outside as well.
I went with the sitting Gorjuss Girl from the very first set. The circles around her were cut in different sizes for the inside and the outside. For the colors I wanted to go with blue and turquoise - also because I liked the idea of coloring her hair in a light blue.
The rectangles on the front of the card and also a part of the inside decoration were embossed using one of the new Cuttlebug folders that are available here but not in the States yet. Yes, those things seem to happen from time to time.
I followed an older sketch from Lilli of the Valley:



Nun möchte ich noch sagen, wie überrascht wir waren, daß wir es bereits gestern geschafft haben, die 1000-Follower-Marke zu überschreiten! Wir dachten, das würde ein paar Wochen in Anspruch nehmen, aber... Da Nilda momentan im Urlaub ist, werden wir uns bis nächsten Montag gedulden müssen um zu erfahren, wer der glückliche Gewinner des $ 1000 Gutscheines ist. Bis dahin wünsche ich viel Spaß mit der Challenge!

At the end I want to tell you how surprised we were to have reached the 1000 followers mark yesterday! We really thought this would take a few weeks, but... Since Nilda is on her vacation at the moment we will have to wait until next monday to see who´s the lucky winner of the $ 1000 gift certificate. Enjoy this week´s challenge til then!

The Cuttlebug Spot challenge # 37

Celebrate your Country! Am 4. Juli ist Independence Day in Amerika und dies hat uns vom Cuttlebugspot dazu veranlaßt eine Challenge passend zu diesem Feiertag zu setzen. Natürlich können auch alle Nicht-Amerikaner mitmachen. Zeigt uns eine Karte mit der Ihr Euer Land feiert.
Nun, da keine typisch deutschen Feiertage in Sicht sind und mir auch sonst nur Themen einfielen, die den typischen Klischees über Deutsche entsprechen habe ich mir kurzerhand gedacht ich gratuliere Amerika und all seinen Bewohnern zum Geburtstag ihres Landes und mache ein virtuelles Geschenk für alle.
Die Anleitung für die Starbox gibt es bei den Splitcoaststampers, und die Box war wirklich leicht gemacht. Ich habe für den Tag das Cut and Emboss Komboset "RIP" verwendet und die handgeschnittenen Sterne mit dem "Tiny Bubbles" Embossingfolder embosst, auf Draht geklebt und an der Box befestigt.

Celebrate your Country! 4th of July is America´s Independence Day and so we at the Cuttlebugspot set a challenge matching that theme. But of course everyone is invited to take part. Just show us a card that celebrate´s your country.
Well, there aren´t any german holidays close and all the rest I could come up with was about something everyone thinks that´s typical german but it really isn´t - like beer and Sauerkraut LOL. So I decided to make a virtual gift to all the americans out there.
The instructions how to make the starbox can be found at Splitcoaststampers and it was so much fun to make it. I used the "RIP" die cut and emboss combo die to make my tag and run the handcut stars through my Cuttlebug using the "Tiny Bubbles" embossing folder. Then I fixed them to some wire and decorated the box with them.

The Cuttlebugs Spot challenge # 36 - Celebrate Summer

Auch beim Cuttlebugspot dreht sich diese Woche alles um das Thema Sommer. "Celebrate sommer" oder auch "school´s out for summer" lautet das Motto. Nachdem hier noch keine Ferien sind, konnte ich natürlich auch noch keine Ferienkarte machen. Und was sonst ist sommerlicher als ein großes leckeres Eis?
Ich habe es mit der Doodlecharms Cartridge von Cricut geschnitten, die Schokoladensauce ist eine per Hand gekürzte Eiskugel, die Waffel habe ich mit dem Tiny Mosaic Embossing Folder embosst und anschließend mit Kreide etwas eingefärbt. Der Spruch ist mit dem Computer geschrieben, der Kirschenstiel ist ein Stückchen Draht.

Also at the Cuttlebugspot it´s all about summer this week. "Celebrate summer" or even "school´s out for summer" is the new theme. Since here the vacations haven´t arrived yet I wanted to make a real summer card. Can there be anything more "summer" than a big cone of yummy icecream?
I cut it using my Cricut and Doodlecharms cartridge, cut one of the layers with my hands to create the chocolat covering and used my Tiny Mosaic folder to emboss the cone. Then I added some chalks to make it look more real. The sentiment is computer generated.

Es ist wieder Zeit für die neue Cuttlebugspot Challenge - und auch dort lautet das Thema "Vatertag". Da ja Vatertag schon rum ist, habe ich eine Kleinigkeit für unseren Nachbarn gebastelt.
Die Anleitung für den Teabag Holder gibt es bei den Splitcoaststampers - und daran erinnert hat mich wieder der Blog von Anita. Sie hat eines dieser kleinen Geschenke auf ihrem Blog gepostet und als ich nach der Anleitung für das Täschchen von gestern gesucht habe, bin ich darüber gestolpert. Es ist nicht der erste Holder, den ich herstelle, aber wie das so ist wenn man zu viel Designs zum wählen hat: ich hatte ihn einfach vergessen.

It´s that time again for a new Cuttlebugspot Challenge - and also there we have "father´s day" as our theme. Since father´s day was in may here I created a little something for our neighbour.
The instructions how to make this teabag holder can be found at Splitcoaststampers - and it was again Anita who reminded me of it. She posted one of these on her blog and while browsing it to find the instructions for her purse I saw this one also. It´s not the first one I am making but you know how it goes - there´s so much inspiration out there that you sometimes forget about special designs.

Cuttlebugspot challenge # 34 "anniversary card"

Nilda, die Gründerin des Cuttlebugspots, feiert ihren 10. Hochzeitstag - und brauchte Anregungen für eine Karte. Daher hat sie für diese Woche das Thema "anniversary card" gewählt.
Ich habe auf meiner Karte das "you" aus dem gleichnamigen Embossingfolder ausgeschnitten, hinterlegt und links auf meiner Karte jede Menge Streifen aus einem Papier von DCWV aufgeklebt. Das HG Papier ist ebenfalls von DCWV, der Herz-Stempel von Stampin´Up.

Nilda, the founder of the Cuttlebugspot, is celebrating her 10th anniversary this month - and needs some inspiration for a card to give her hubby. So she choose "anniversary card" as this week´s theme.
I cut the "you" out of the "you"-folder and placed an scalloped rectangle behind it. On the left I added different stripes cut out of a DCWV paper. The background paper is also DCWV, the heart image is made using a Stampin´Up stamp.

Cuttlebug spot challenge # 32 - brown and blue or orange

"Braun plus blau oder orange" - das ist die Farbvorgabe für die neue Challenge auf dem Cuttlebugspot. Ich konnte mich nicht so ganz entscheiden und habe einfach beide Farben zu braun kombiniert. Sie harmonieren aber auch zu schön!
Ich brauchte eine Karte für einen Mann und denke, mit dieser hier fahre ich ganz gut. Den Hintergrund habe ich mit den "Tiny Bubbles" embossed, die Muffins sind von StudioG, der Text von StampinUp.

"brown and blue or orange" - this is this week´s color combo challenge at The Cuttlebugspot. I wasn´t able to decide which one to use with my brown and so just used both. They look too nice together!
I needed a card for a man and think this one will work great. My background is embossed using the "tiny bubbles" embossing folder, the cupcakes are from StudioG, the sentiment is StampinUp.

The Cuttlebug Spot # 30 "Look through our window"

"Ein Blick aus dem Fenster" lautet das Thema bei der 30. Challenge auf dem Cuttlebugspot. Zeigt uns Karten mit einem irgendwie gearteten Fenster oder auch Rahmen - und vergeßt nicht, Eure Cuttlebug zu verwenden!
Ich habe den "Argyle" Folder im Hintergrund verwendet, den man super aneinander setzen und fast nahtlos embossen kann. Die Blumenstempel sind von Stampin´Up. Und da ich noch etwas besonderes auf der Karte haben wollte, habe ich Vorhänge aus Tüll vor das Fenster gehängt.

"Look though our window" that´s what this week´s challenge # 30 at the Cuttlebugspot is called. Show us a look through a window on your cards - or even use a frame on it. And don´t forget to use you green bugs!
I used the "Argyle" folder in the background. I love this one for bigger cards because its both sides fit together and so you can emboss bigger papers (nearly) without seeing a seam. The flower stamps are from Stampin´Up. And since I wanted to give my card a special touch I added courtains from a fine fabric.

Cuttlebug spot challenge # 27 - "happy mother´s day"

 

Kommenden Sonntag ist Muttertag - und daher kommt das neue Thema "happy mother´s day" auf dem Cuttlebugspot Challenge Blog wie gerufen. Zudem gibt es einen wunderbaren Preis zu gewinnen. Ich habe auf dem Blog von Nicola, einer Kundin, diese Kartenidee mit der kleinen Klappe gefunden und mußte sie unbedingt ausprobieren. Und da meine Mutter total auf die Kombi weiß-grün steht, stand auch dieses Element für meine Karte schon fest. Dann habe ich einfach meiner Kreativität freien Lauf gelassen und entstanden ist dieses "Kunstwerk". Der Stempel ist von Sugar Nellie, die Papiere von aus der Laundry Line von My Mind´s Eye. Ich habe außerdem den Embossingfolder "texture" verwendet und ganz leicht grüne Kreide auf den embossten Stellen verteilt. Mother´s day will be here next sunday - and so the new theme "happy mother´s day" at the Cuttlebugspot Challenge Blog comes right in time. We also have a great price for you to win. On Nicola´s blog - she is a customer of my shop - I found this cute card idea with the flap and had to try it myself. And since my mother loves white and green combos also this part was clear from the beginning. So I let my creativity flow and ended up with this "piece of art". The stamp is from Sugar Nellie, the papers are from the Laundry Line by My Mind´s Eye. I also used the "texture" embossing folder and lightly added green chalk on the ebmossed areas. Und hier ist noch eine Innenansicht der Karte - die Buchstaben kleben inzwischen ordentlich... ;o) And here is the inside of my card - the letters are fixed right now... ;o)

Cuttlebugspot challenge # 27 "take the cake"

Der Name "take the cake" verrät es schon - Karten mit leckeren, süßen Kuchen oder auch Muffins sind bei der Cuttlebugspot Challenge # 27 gefragt. Also, auf in die Bastelküche und "backt" uns eure Creationen!
Ich habe für meine Karte als Hintergrund den numbers folder verwendet. Der Muffin ist mit meine Cricut und der Doodlecharms cartridge geschnitten - und als Zuckerguß habe ich eine Schicht Puffy Velvet Markers von Marvy Uchida drübergelegt. Beim Erhitzen ploppen diese so richtig schön auf. Der Muffin hat verschiedene Schichten und als Clou eine echte Kerze mit eingebaut.

I used the numbers folder for my background. The cupcake was cut with my Cricut and the Doodlecharms cartridge. For the icing I added a layer of Puffy Velvet Markers from Marvy Uchida. When heating them they pop up and create that funny look. The cupcake is made with different layers and as a little special I used a real candle on it.

Cuttlebug spot challenge # 26 - "shape it"

"Shape it" lautet das Motto für die Cuttlebugspot Challenge # 26. Zeigt uns Karten in allen Formen - außer quadratisch oder rechteckig.
Ich wollte die süßen "birthday monkeys" aus der neuen Rachelle Ann Miller Kollektion von Stampavie verwenden. Daher hat sich ein Luftballon als Grundform angeboten. Diesem habe ich mit meiner Nähmaschine ein paar Highlights versetzt, ihn mit dem Birthday Folder durch die cuttlebug gekurbelt und anschließend mit Schleifpapier bearbeitet, so daß die Prägungen mehr herauskommen. Der Party-Stempel ist von Inkadinkado.

I wante to use the cute "birthday monkeys" from the new Rachelle Ann Miller collection by Stampavie. So a balloon-shaped card base came to my mind. I added some light spots with my sewing machine, embossed it with the birthday folder and sanded it after that to bring out the embossed areas a bit more. The party stamp is by Inkadinkado.

Cuttlebug spot challenge # 25 "easter treat containers"

"Osterkörbchen" - passend zu Ostern ist das das neue Thema für die Cuttlebugspot Challenge # 25. Und die können dann gleich verwendet werden, um die Osterleckereien schön zu verpacken.
Ich habe eine große Box gefaltet, mit einem extra Streifen den ich vorher gecuttlebugt habe verziert und das ganze mit einer frühlingshaften Magnolia dekoriert.

I made a big box, placed another paper that I ran through my Cuttlebug before around it and put a springy Magnolia image on it for decoration.

Cuttlebug spot challenge # 24 - double embossing

"Double embossing" - so lautet die neue Aufgabe auf dem Cuttlebugspot Blog. Hierbei wird der Cardstock erst mit einem Embossing Folder embosst und anschließend ein anderer Folder mit demselben Papier verwendet. Das erste Muster wird etwas flachgedrückt, ist aber immer noch gut zu sehen.
Ich habe erst "Forest Branches" verwendet, die Äste ein wenig mit grauer Tinte eingefärbt und bin dann mit "Birds and Swirls" darübergegangen.
Meine Karte könnte für diese Jahreszeit etwas fröhlicher sein, aber die Eltern unserer Nachbarin sind gestorben und ich möchte ihr gerne eine Karte machen. Ich finde, diese Technik macht sich sehr gut auf meiner Karte.
Die Stempel sind von Stampin´ Up!, ich habe meine Nesties sowie meinen branch punch - danke Rheannon! - verwendet und mit der Nähmaschine ein paar Akzente gesetzt.

"Double embossing" - that´s what challenge # 24 at the Cuttlebugspot Blog is called. For this technique you use one of your embossing folders with the cuttlebug. Then you use another one over it. The first embossing will be flatened a bit but still can be seen.
I used "Forest Branches" first, inked the branches with some grey ink and used "Birds and Swirls" over it.
My card could be a bit happier for this time of year, but our neighbour´s parents passed away and I want to give her a card. I think, this technique looks wonderful on my card.
Stamps I used are Stampin´ Up!, I used my nestabilities and my branch punch - thank you Rheannon! - and did some stitching with my sewing machine also to set a few additional accents.
