Zum Ein-/Umzug werden ja gerne Blumen verschenkt. Nun ja, gerade bei einem Umzug ist es ja so, dass meist schon viele Grünpflanzen vorhanden sind. Und wer will sich schon morgens den Weg ins Bad mit der Machete freischlagen? Also habe ich diese Kaktus-Box von JM Creation für diesen Zweck gemacht.

It's common to give someone who's moving a plant as an accessoire for the new home. Well, most people already have a lot of plants and who wants to have to use a machete to make it in the bathroom in the mornings? So I've made this cactus box by JM Creation as a housewarming gift.
Der Kaktus samt Erde kann nach oben - wie ein Deckel - abgenommen werden und so ist darunter Platz für eine Kleinigkeit.
Ich habe meinen Blumen- äh Kaktustopf aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit dem Holzhintergrund Stempel in grauer Tinte quer Holzlinien aufgestempelt. Das natürlich rundherum.
The cactus with the soil can be taken out - like a lid - and so there's room for a little gift to be put in the box under it.
I've made my flower - oh, cactus pot from white cardstock and then stamped a wood pattern onto the sides using light grey ink.
Für den Kaktus habe ich die Teile jeweils 6 mal aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt und von außen weiße Stempeltinte aufgetragen. Dann habe ich sie zusammengesetzt und auf die beiden kleinen Ausläufer rosafarbene Blüten geklebt. Auch die sind jeweils 4 mal ausgestanzt, von der Mitte her gerundet und zusammengesetzt.
For the cactus I've die cut each piece 6 times from green cardstock and then added some white pigment ink from the outside inwards. Then I've glued them together and added small pink flowers to the smaller side arms of the cactus. The flowers were die cut 4 times each, rounded from the middle and then put together.

Natürlich durfte ein Text nicht fehlen. Ich habe hier diesen Text aus dem Stempelset Kaktus-Sprüche mit brauner Tinte direkt auf den Blumentopf gestempelt. Solange die Box mit dem Kaktus irgendwo steht, fühlt man sich also überall zuhause.
Der Text aus dem Stempelset Umzug ist auf rosafarbenen Cardstock gestempelt und unten auf die Box geklebt.
Dann habe ich noch einen neuen Hausschlüssel aufgebracht. Der ist aus dem Gablebox Stanzenset. Ich habe ihn aus silbernem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt, auf die Box geklebt und mit einem Fineliner eine Schnur dazugemalt, so dass es so aussieht, als hinge der Schlüssel am E des Wortes Zuhause.
Of course my box needed a matching saying. I've stamped one meaning "home is where there is my small green cactus" directly onto the box using brown ink. So, as long as this box with the cactus is standing near you feel home no matter where you are.
The saying stamped onto the strip of pink cardstock means "have fun in your new home".
Then I've decided to also add a key for the new home. This one's die cut from silver mirror cardstock, glued onto the box and I've hand drawn a string with a fineliner to make it look like the key is dangling from the E of the word "home".
