Letzte Woche habe ich Euch ja eine Kaktus-Box zum Einzug gezeigt - heute kommt eine Karte zum Umzug.

Last week I've shared a cactus box as a house warming gift - today I am sharing a card made for someone who's moving.
Der Kartenaufleger besteht aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks, den ich schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt habe.
Ich wollte nicht mit Designpapier arbeiten, also habe ich mal etwas anderes als Hintergrund probiert, das habe ich so jetzt schon öfter mal irgendwo gesehen. Ich habe einen großen, unregelmäßigen "Fleck" auf meine Karte skizziert und den dann von außen nach innen heller werdend coloriert. Dabei habe ich blau für den Himmel und schwarz/grau für den Gehsteig und die Straße benutzt. Auf diesen Hintergrundfleck habe ich dann die Motive aufgeklebt.
I've used a piece of white cardstock, matted it black and glued both layers onto a white note card.
I didn't want to use designer's paper here so I've tried something different that I have seen being done quite a few times recently. I've lightly drawn a big "splotch" onto my cardstock with a pencil. Then I've colored it, getting from dark on the outside to lighter on the inside. I went with blue for a sky and black/grey for the sidewalk and street. Onto the finished splotch I've glued the images.
Ich habe hier Motive aus zwei - eigentlich sogar drei - Stempelsets kombiniert. Das Haus ist aus dem Stempelset Umzug. Es erinnert mich an alte, mittelalterliche Häuser, deswegen bin ich bei der Coloration auch eher traditionell geblieben.
Das Auto ist aus dem Set Gute Reise. Die Umzugskartons auf dem Dach habe ich per Hand dazugemalt. Und die Pflanze, die aus dem hinteren Autofenster ragt, ist die Palme aus dem Stempelset Panda mit Palme. Ich habe sie mit grauer Tinte gestempelt und coloriert. Am unteren Fensterrand habe ich einen Schlitz ins Auto geschnitten, die Palme hindurchgesteckt und festgeklebt. Der Strich, der die Kante des offenen Fensters darstellt, ist ebenfalls per Hand hinzugefügt. Dann habe ich nur oberhalb der Fensterkante die Außenlinien der Palme mit einem schwarzen Fineliner nachgemalt und den unteren Bereich, der im Inneren des Autos ist, hellblau übermalt. Dadurch wirkt es so, als sähe man einen Teil des Stammes durch die Scheibe.
Das Auto habe ich dann mit 3D Tape auf die Karte geklebt.
I've combined two - well, actually three - stamp sets here. The house is from a moving themed stamp set. It reminds me of an old, medieval house so I've sticked to traditional coloring here.
The car is from a travel themed stamp set. I've added the moving box on top of the roof by hand. And the plant, that sticks out of the window, is the palm tree image from the Panda with Palm Tree stamp set. I've stamped it with light grey ink and colored it in. I've cut a slit at the lower end of the window and put the cut out palm three through it, then glued it down to the car. The line, that's meant to be the edge of the open window, is also added by hand. Then I've used a black fineliner to re-draw only the outlines of that part of the plant, that's outside the car. Over the area that's inside the car I've added a layer of light blue ink - now it looks like you see a part of the tree through the window.
I've glued down the car with dimensionals.

Und dann durfte natürlich ein Text nicht fehlen.
Ich habe einen der beiden Texte aus dem Stempelset Umzug mit schwarzer Tinte auf einen Streifen blauen Cardstocks gestempelt und den quer unten über die Karte geklebt.

And then I needed a saying. This one means "good luck on your move". It's stamped with black ink onto a strip of blue cardstock and then glued it across the card at the bottom.
