Craft Roulette Episode #333

Am Freitag  war wieder Craft Roulette Zeit, diesmal Episode 333 - eine Schnapszahl! Und die Parameter haben es leicht gemacht, wenn gleich mich die Farbvorgabe erst ein wenig ratlos gemacht  hat. Aber sie  ist wieder sehr frei auslegbar.

Friday it was time for new issue of Craft Roulette, episode 333 - we in Germany call that a "Schnapszahl". Translated by word it means liquor number, but it's just a number with all digits identical. The word originated from many years back, when they were playing  all kind of games in bars. When the points were added up and someone ended up with a number with all identical digits he had to pay for a round  of liquor. It may also come from the fact, that people that drank too  much liquor saw things doubled or tripled... ;) The parameters this week were easy, again. However, the color parameter left me stumped for a few moments. But again it's one that can be interpreted very freely.

Beim Thema Holiday habe ich mich dazu entschlossen, eine Erntedank-Karte zu machen. Nicht, dass ich dieses Fest in irgenndeiner Art feiere oder gar Karten dazu verschicke. Aber so konnte ich eine Herbstkarte machen und die Countryside Reihe von Concord and 9th einweihen. 

Das Format 4" x 6" kam mir sehr gelegen, entspricht es doch fast unserem A6 Format. Es ist nur ein klein wenig höher. 

Wie gesagt, habe ich die Countryside Reihe von Concord and 9th verwendet und den Hintergrund mit dem Stencilset auf weißen Cardstock gewischt. Der Stapel der verwendeten Distress Inks ware riesig. Die Grasflächen habe ich mit Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber und Crushed Olive gemacht, die Scheune mit Scorched Timber und Fired Brick. Für den Weg habe ich Frayed Burlap verwendet und für den Himmel Dried Marigold, Ripe Persimmon und Abandoned Coral. 

Und weil man es auf dem Bild oben im Ganzen sieht: um die Voragbe Bark - Rinde - einzuarbeiten, habe ich auf der rechten Seite der Karte eine große Birke, gemacht mit einer Stanze von MFT, gepflanzt. Für das Rindenmuster habe ich erste eine Seite des Baums mit Pumice Stone gewischt und dann mit Alcohol Markern die Querrillen aufgemalt. Und weil die Stanze rechts und links des Baumstamms immer wieder kleine Stück herausstanzt, habe ich den Baumstamm noch mit grauem Cardstock hinterlegt. 

 

When I thought  about the holiday theme I've decided to make a Erntedank card. Erntedank is kind of the german Thanksgiving, and I am sure the american one somehow originates in it. It's not a real holiday and  even not really celebrated other than in church or school - so I am surely not sending out Erntedank cards to anyone. It's also sometime in september, I don't even know the exact date, rather than end of november like the american Thanksgiving. It was a fest the farmers celebrated once all the produce was harvested to celebrate the end of this year's work and also to thank god for a good crop. But the Erntedank theme gave me the chance to use the Countryside series by Concord and 9th and make a fall card. 

The card size of 4" x 6" wasn't a real challenge for me since it's pretty close to a standard german A6 card. It's just a tad bit taller. 

As  mentioned already did I use the Countryside series by Concord and 9th  here and used the stencil set to create the background. The stack of Distress Inks I used on this card was massive. I used Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber and Crushed Olive for the fields, the barn is made with Scorched Timber and Fired Brick. For the path I used Frayed Burlap and for the sky Dried  Marigold, Ripe Persimmon and Abandoned Coral.

And because you can see it completly on the pic above: to bring in the bark theme I planted a large birch tree, made  with a die by MFT, on the right side of my card. For the bark pattern I first inked one side of the tree with Pumice Stone, then added the pattern details with alcohol markers. And because the die cuts out little pieces on the left and right side of the tree I used some gray cardstock to back the tree with.

 

 Für die  restlichen Elemente  auf der Karte habe  ich sowohl das Countryside Stempel- als auch das Stanzenset bennutzt. 

Aus dem Stempelset sind der Hahn auf dem Schneunedach und der Zaun - aufgestempelt mit Versafine Clair Nocture - sowie die Grasbüschel - gestempelt mit Distress Ink Forest Moss und Crushed Olive -, die Steine auf dem Weg - gestempelt mit Scorched Timber - und die Blattdetails auf dem Laub des großen Astes, der von links in die Szene ragt. Die habe ich mit einem Mix verschiedener Farben gestempelt. Außerdem gibt es einen Stempel für das Holzmuster auf der Scheune. Das habe ich mit Versafine Crimson Red aufgestempelt. Die Vögel am Himmel, die wieder schwarz gestempelt sind, sind aus dem Stempelset Postage Collage Forest Sunset von WaffleFlower.

Der Ast samt Laub, die Kürbisse, die Strohgarben, die Scheunentür  und -fenster und der große Zaun sind aus dem Stanzenset. Ich habe die Teile aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Inks schattiert. Neben den schon erwähnten Farben kam noch Aged Mahogany zum Einsatz.

 

For the other elements on the card I used the Countryside die set and the Countryside stamp set.

From the stamp set are the vane on the barn roof and the fence - both stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne - and the small grass details, that I stamped with Forest Moss and Crushed Olive. Also from this set are the stones on the path (Scorched Timber) and the lef details on the leaves of the large branch, that is coming in on the  left side. Those I stamped with a mix of colors I had already used. There's also a stamp for the pattern on the barn. I stamped that on with Versafine Crimson Red. The birds in the sky are from Postage Collage Forest Sunset by WaffleFlower and stamped black again.

The branch with the leaves, the pumpkins, the sheaves, the door and windows on the barn and  the large fence. I die  cut the pieces from colored cardstock  and shaded  them with Distress Ink, using colors I had already used on the card, only bringing in some Aged Mahogany, too. 

 

 Ich habe die winzigen Kürbisse rund um die Scheune verteilt und auf der linken Seite des Wegs den gestanzten Zaun samt Garben und kleinen Kürbissen  aufgeklebt.

Unten rechts, an den Fuß des Birkenstamms, habe ich drei größere Kürbisse gesetzt. Hier musste  nicht  nur ein Element in den Vordergrund, die Kürbisse verdecken auch die Tatsache, dass der Birkenstamm ein wenig zu kurz für die 6" hohe Karte war. ;) Die Kürbisse sind mit Stanzen diverser Hersteller gemacht, ich habe einfach genommen, was von der Größe her passte. Die Kürbisse im Countryside Set waren hier einfach zu klein.

Und entlang des unteren Rands der Karte habe ich dann noch meinen Text geklebt. Er ist aus dem Set Itty Bitty  Thanks von MFT und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock  embosst. Als Deko habe ich drei kleine weiße Herzen um den Text verteilt. 

Und um Episode  333 zu ehren, habe  ich drei Elemente auf der Karte, die  in Gruppen von drei auftreten: die kleinen Kürbisse  vor dem Zaun, die großen am Fuß der Birke und die weißen Herzen. ;) 

 

I scattered the tiny pumpkins  around the barn and to the left of the path I added the fence, sheaves and small pumpkins.

At the bottom right, in front of the birch tree, I added three larger pumpkins. Not only needed the card a larger element here, the pumpkins also hide the bottom of the birch tree, that was just a bit too short for this 6" tall card. ;) The pumpkins are made with different dies from my stash, I simply grabbed what fit in size. The ones from the countryside set were just too small here.

And along  the bottom edge  of the card I added my text. It's from Itty Bitty Thanks by MFT and white heat embossed onto black cardstock. I added three white clay hearts as decoration. 

And to honor episode 333 I have 3 elements, that are added in clusters of three: the small pumpkins at the fence, the large ones at the bottom of the birch tree and the white hearts. ;) 

 

 Ich habe den großen Ast mit den Blättern und den Text mit dünnem, die Birke mit den großen Kürbissen mit dickem 3D Tape auf die Karte geklebt. Dann habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

 

I adhered the large branch with the leaves and the text with thin, the birch tree and the large pumpkins with thick foam tape. Then I glued the card panel onto a white card base.

 

Und hier noch der Parameter-Check: 

4" x 6" Karte: der Kartenrohling hat diese Größe, den Aufleger habe ich ein wenig kleiner gemacht

Buffett-Colors: zu Erntedank gab es immer die aufgebauten Tische voller reifer Früchte wie Kürbissen, Mais, Äpfeln  und dazwischen bunte Blätter. Das war meine Farbidee hinter dieser Karte.

Feiertag: wie schon ausführlich erklärt, war Erntedank das Fest meiner Wahl

Bark - also Rinde, hätte aber genauso gut auch mit Bellen übersetzt werden können: die große Birke vorne rechts hat ein aufgemaltes Birkenrinden-Muster.

buffet colors: for Erntedank there were always those large tables full of ripe vegetables like pumpkins, corn, apples and inbetween colored leaves. This was the color idea I used on my card.

Heute habe ich noch eine Karte mit dem Januar-Release von Concord and 9th, denn auch an den Zapfsäulen im Retro-Look konnte ich nicht vorbei. Hier ist eine Freundschaftskarte damit entstanden, und die passt definitiv nicht nur für Männer.

Today I have another card with products from the january release by Concord and 9th because I also couldn't resist those gas pumps in a retro look. I made a friendship card with them and this is not only great for men.

 

Ich wollte eine Karte im Retro-Look und habe zuerst die Zapfsäulen in gedeckten Farben gestaltet. Und beim Hintergrund ging dann alles schief...

Ich habe den Radiating Halftone Background von MFT mit grau-blauer Tinte auf hellblauen Cardstock gestempelt, dann den Cardstock minimal im Misti verschoben und die Punkte leicht versetzt noch einmal weiß aufembosst. Das ganze habe ich im Querformat gemacht, denn so wollte ich die Karte eigentlich gestalten. Das ging sich dann aber nicht aus und ich habe ihn um 90 Grad gedreht. Dadurch macht das Muster aber irgendwie nicht mehr so richtig Sinn. Und die Farben waren mir auch viel zu grell. Also habe ich den Cardstock erstmal mit etwas dunklerer Tinte gewischt, wirklich besser hat es das auch nicht gemacht. Außerdem finde ich ihn eigentlich zu unruhig und zu wenig retro... 

 

I wanted a card in a retro look and first created the gas pumps in muted colors. Once I started the background everything went wrong...

I stamped the Radiating Halftone Background by MFT with grey-ish blue ink onto light blue cardstock. I then moved the cardstock slightly in my Misti and white heat embossed the pattern again just a tad bit offset. I worked in landscape orientation, because that's how I wanted to make my card. But that didn't work out later and I turned the cardstock to portrait - now the pattern doesn't really make sense anymore. I also think the colors are way too bright. So I first darkened the bottom of the cardstock with some slightly darker ink, which didn't do much. I also think, the pattern is very busy and not as retro as I would have liked...

 

Die Zapfsäulen habe ich mit den Stanzen aus dem Set Fueled with Love gemacht, die gestempelten Elemente sind aus dem dazugehörigen Stempelset. 

Ich habe eine gelbe und zwei rot/koralle Farbenen Zapfsäulen gemacht und alle Teile mit Copics schattiert. Die Rahmen der Anzeigen sind aus holographischem, die Griffe an den Zapfhähnen aus schwarzem Spiegel-Cardstock.  

Nach dem Zusammenkleben habe ich die Anzeigenfenster mit Glossy Accents überzogen. Und weil Freundschaft nunmal aus Umarmungen, Lächeln und Küsschen besteht - also natürlich im weiten Sinne - habe ich genau diese Worte auf die Zapfsäulen gestempelt, quasi als "Benzinname". Das Hugs und das Kisses sind dabei aus dem Itty Bitty Love Stempelset von MFT.

Hinter die Zapfsäulen, die einfach total auf dem gepunkteten Hintergrund untergegangen sind, habe ich dann noch einen Strahlenhintergrund aufgeklebt. Der ist aus weißem Cardstock mit der Sfondo Raggi Stanze von Impronte d'Autore gemacht und war wirklich meine letzte Hoffnung, die Karte doch noch irgendwie akzeptabel zu Ende zu bringen. Ein wenig hat es geholfen.

 

The gas pumps I made with the Fueled with Love set, the stamped elements are from the matching stamp set. 

I created one yellow and two red/coral gas pumps and shaded all pieces with Copics. The frames around the monitors I die cut from holographic, the handles from black mirror cardstock.

After putting the gas pumps together I filled the monitors with Glossy Accents. And because hugs, smiles and kisses are a main element of a friendship I decided to stamp these onto the pumps, kind of like the type of fuel you can get at each of the pumps. The "hugs" and the "kisses" are from Itty Bitty Love by MFT.

The gas pumps got kind of lost on the dotted background so I decided to add some rays behind them. I made that from white cardstock using the Sfondo Raggi die by Impronte d'Autore. The rays were actually my last idea to turn this into an okay looking card. It helped a bit.

 

 Auf schwarzen Cardstock habe ich einen der Texte aus dem Fueled with Love Stempelset mit weißem Embossingpulver aufembosst und den Text dabei von zwei- auf einzeilig geändert. Diesen schwarzen Cardstockstreifen habe ich dann gleichzeitig als Boden unter meine Zapfsäulen geklebt, damit die nicht in der Luft schweben.

Darunter war dann noch Platz für ein größeres ausgestanztes thanks. Auch diese Stanze ist von MFT und aus dunkelrotem Cardstock gestanzt. Das Stanzteil habe ich ein wenig schattiert, mit einem schwarzen Wort hinterlegt und es dannn ein wenig schräg unter den schwarzen Textstreifen geklebt.

 

I white heat embossed one of the texts from Fueled with Love onto black cardstock, putting the two lines of the text into one. I then used  this black text strip as a ground for my gas pumps so they don't float on the card.

Under that strip there was some room for a larger die cut thanks. Again I used an older die by MFT here and cut the word from dark red cardstock. I shaded the word lightly, backed it with a black die cut and then glued it onto the card a bit slanted, putting the black cardstock strip over the loop of the k. 

 

Da die einzelnen Lagen sich hier immer irgendwo überlappen habe ich auf 3D Tape verzichtet und alle Element direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Als Deko habe ich noch einige rote Herzen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

The layers on this card all overlap somewhere, so I didn't use foam tape and glued all the elements directly onto the background. I added some red clay hearts as decoration and then glued the card panel to a white note card.

Heute habe ich eine weitere Karte mit Stanzen aus dem Januar-Release von Concord and 9th für Euch. Ich war sofort in die Pommes samt Box verliebt - und die Wortspiele im dazugehörigen Stempelset sind ja absolut meins. Also machen wir mir dieser Karte einen Abstecher in das Land des Fast Food.

Today I have another card using dies from Concord and 9th's january release. I immediately fell in love with the french fries die set - and the puns in the matching stamp set are right down my alley. So with this card we are taking a trip into the world of fast food.

 

Wie so viele, verbinde ich mit Pommes die Farben rot, weiß und gelb. Ob das an der Kombi Pommes, Ketchup und Mayo oder doch eher an den Farben einer bekannten Fast Food Kette liegt, kann ich nicht so genau sagen. 

Den Hintergrund habe ich mit den Layered Sunburst Stencils von PinkFresh gemacht die es in verschiedenen Formaten gibt. Ich habe das Set in A2-Größe benutzt. Basis war hellgelber Cardstock, auf den habe ich dann Strahlen mit Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade und Candied Apple aufgetragen. Auf die Enden der Strahlen kam noch ein wenig Fired Brick. Die Strahlen überlagern sich teilweise und an manchen Stellenist noch die Originalfarbe des Cardstocks zu sehen. 

Auf den Hintergrund habe ich dann erst Wasser und dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Mittig auf den Cardstock habe ich dann diese "Blasenform", wie man sie aus Comics kennt, aufgeklebt. Sie ist der Rest des Comic Cover A2 von WhimsyStamps. Ich habe ein schwarzes und ein weißes Stanzteil leicht versetzt aufeinander und dann beides auf den Hintergrund geklebt. So heben sich die Pommes samt Box später besser vom Hintergrund ab. Außerdem finde ich, dass die Form super zum Design der Karte passt. 

 

Like many I have to think of the color combo of red, white and yellow when I think of french fries. I can't tell if that's because of french fries with ketchup and maionaise or because of the colors of a well known fast food brand.

For the background I used the Layered Sunburst Stencils by PinkFresh for the background. They are available in different sizes, I used the A2 ones. I started with a piece of light yellow cardstock and inked the rays on using Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Candied Apple. Onto the ends of the red rays I applied a bit of Fired Brick. The rays overlay each other, in some spots there's still the original color of the cardstock visible.

I first splattered some droplets of water, then some white acrylic paint onto the cardstock.

Onto the center of the cardstock I glued this "bubble", that's known from the world of comics. It's the left over piece from the Comic Cover A2 by WhimsyStamps. I stacked a black and a white die cut a bit offset and then glued both onto the background. This way the fries and box are visible more clearly on the background and I also think, the shape goes great with the card design. 

 

 Hier ist die Pommes-Box samt Inhalt aus dem So Fry-Tastic Stanzenset von Concord and 9th/Kristina Werner. Ich bekomme Hunger, wenn ich die Karte ansehe!

Die Box habe ich aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics leicht schattiert. Dann habe ich sie ein weiteres Mal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und daraus mit der Schere zwei Streifen, angepasst an die Form der Box, ausgeschnitten. Mit denen habe ich die Box dekoriert, damit sie nicht gar so nackt aussieht. 

Die Pommes in der Box bestehen aus fünf verschiedenen Lagen, die alle als einzelne Stanzen im Set enthalten sind. Außerdem gibt es noch zwei einzelne Pommes. Ich habe alles aus zwei verschiedenen Tönen hellgelben Cardstocks gestanzt und dann mit Copics schattiert. Die "Kante" habe ich dann mit einem hellbraunen Polychromo aufgemalt. Außerdem habe ich etwas Distress Ink Gathered Twigs mit ein wenig Wasser gemischt und aufgespritzt. Die Idee mit dem "Salz" kommt von Jennifer McGuire. Ich habe winzige Tropfen Kleber auf die Pommes aufgetragen und dann etwas von dem Clear Rock Candy Glitter von Tim Holtz aufgestreut.

I cut the box from red cardstock and shaded it with Copics. Then I cut it again from white cardstock and used my scissors to cut out two strips of that white die cut, making them match the shape of the box. I used these to decorate the box so it's not just plain red.

 The fries in the box are made from 5 layers, that are all included in the die set as individual dies. There are also two single fries included. I cut all of them from two different shades of light yellow cardstock and shaded them with Copics. The "edges" I added with a light brown Polychromo. I also mixed a bit of Distress Ink Gathered Twigs with a bit of water and splattered it onto the fries. The idea of adding "salt" is by Jennifer McGuire. I applied tiny drops of liquid glue to the fries and then sprinkled some of the Clear Rock Candy glitter by  Tim Holtz into the glue.

 

 Auch das ausgestanzte Wort Fries ist aus dem Stanzenset. Ich habe zwei Lagen gelben Cardstocks aufeinander geklebt und alles it einer Lage aus schwarzem Cardstock als Schatten hinterlegt. Es gibt eine Shadow Layer für die großen Worte, aber das war mir hier zu plakativ. Statt des I-Punkts habe ich ein weißes Herz aufgeklebt.

Die kleinen Textteile sind aus dem So Fry-Tastic Stempelset und einfach weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.  Und weil mein Mann das Wortspiel nicht sofort verstanden hat, es bezieht sich natürlich auf "I only have eyes for you". ;)

An die untere Kante der Pommesbox habe ich dann noch die beiden einzelnen Pommes geklebt.

 

Also the die cut word "fries" is from the die set. I stacked two layers of yellow cardstock and then added a black word behind them as a shadow layer. There is a larger shadow layer for the words included in the set, but that would have covered to much of the box here. Instead of the dot on the i I used a white clay heart.

The smaller texts are fro the So Fry-Tastic stamp set and simply heat embossed white onto black cardstock. 

Onto the bottom of the box I then glued the two individual fries.

 

 Die Pommesbox ist mit 3D Tape auf die weiße Blase geklebt, dann habe ich damit auch die Blase samt Deko auf dem Hintergrund angebracht. 

Rund um die Deko habe ich einige schwarze Glitzersteine verteilt, dann den dekorierten Cardstock schwarz gemattet und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued the box of fries to the white bubble with foam tape, then used more tape to adhere the bubble with the decoration onto the background.

I added some black rhinestones around the image, then matted the card panel black and adhered it to a white note card.

 

Winter-Post

Das Januar-Release von Concord and 9th hat es mir total angetan und das ein oder andere Set ist in meinen Warenkorb gewandert. Und weil da dann auch noch einige kleine Winterstanzen drinlagen, habe ich das Happy Mail Set mal winterlich umgesetzt.

 

Hello everyone!

 Concord and 9th's january release was totally my  alley and I had to order a few sets. Well, there were also some small winter die sets in my cart and so I used the Happy Mail set for this winter card.

 

Ich finde die Karte auch von außen schön - schlicht, aber durchaus nicht langweilig. Aber das ist mal wieder eine Karte, bei der die inneren Werte zählen...

 

I like the card front - it's simple, but not boring. But this is once again a card, where the surprise is on the inside.... 

 

 Ich habe hellblauen Cardstock mit der Grund-Stanze aus dem Happy Mail Set in Form gebracht und ihn dann mit dem dazu passenden Embossingfolder geprägt. So wird aus einem bogenförmigen Cardstockstück ganz einfach ein Briefkasten.

Ich habe den Cardstock von unten her ein wenig dunkler gewischt und außerdem mit passenden Copics den eingeprägten Rahmen dunkler gemalt. 

Auf den Brief und das Wort Post, die erhaben sind, habe ich weiße Pigmenttinte aufgedrückt. Das sieht man aber wegen des schon sehr hellen Cardstocks nicht wirklich. Also habe ich mit einem graublauen Copic einen Schlagschatten und mit einem weißen Gelstift Highlights aufgemalt. 

Als Deko habe ich rund um das Wort Post drei kleine Herzen aufgemalt.

 

I die cut the main shape from light blue cardstock using one of the dies from the Happy Mail die set and then dry embossed it with the matching embossing folder. It turns an arch in no time into a mailbox.

I inked the bottom of the mailbox a bit darker and also used some matching Copics to trace the debossed frame.

I dabbed some white pigment ink onto the letter and the word post, that are raised. Because I started with such light blue cardstock you don't really see the white ink. So I used a grey-ish blue Copic marker to add a drop shadow and a white gel pen to add some highlights to those two elements.

As decoration I added three small hearts around the word post.

 

 Den Verschluss und - ich denke - das Schlüsselloch oben am Briefkasten habe ich aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt.

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann frei Hand Schneehauben für den oberen Teil der Mailbox ausgeschnitten und leicht schattiert.

Und weil mir alles doch ein wenig zu fad war, habe ich per Hand ein Fähnchen aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock ausgeschnitten, das anzeigt, dass Post da ist. Ich habe das Fähnchen mit einem blauen Herz dekoriert, das ich auf einen weißen, schwarz gematteten Kreis geklebt habe. Daneben befindet sich eine kleine Schneeflocke. Außerdem habe ich eine Schleife aus weiß-silbernem Twine an das Fähnchen gebunden und es dann hinter die Front der Mailbox geklebt.

 

The closure and - I think - the key hole at the top of the mailbox I cut from matte silver metallic cardstock. 

From white cardstock I cut some snow for the top of the mailbox, simply using my scissors, and shaded it a light blue.

And because the card front looked a bit too boring to me I added a little flag from silver glitter cardstock, that signals that there's mail. I decorated the flag with a blue heart, that I glued onto a white, matted black circle. Next to it I added a small snowflake. I also tied a bow from white and silver twine around the flag and then glued it behind the card front.

 

 Und so sieht die Karte  dann geöffnet aus - und ja, vielleicht bin ich ein wenig eskaliert. Aber so steckt wirklich Winter drin...

 

This is the opened card - and yes, maybe I escalated a bit. But now there's real winter inside the mailbox.

 

 Für die Deko habe ich dann alle möglichen Firmen kombiniert.

Auf die hintere innere Seite habe ich dunkelblauen Cardstock geklebt, auf den ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt habe. Und weil das immer noch zu langweilig war, habe ich aus Vellum den Aufleger aus dem Snowflake Tunnel Card Set von ScappyTails ausgeschnitten, unten etwas gekürzt und aufgeklebt. Außerdem habe ich - auf beide innere Seiten - einen Rahmen mit einem silbernen Gelstift aufgemalt. 

 

For the decorations on the inside I combined all kind of brands. 

I glued a piece of dark blue cardstock onto the inner backside. I splattered white acrylic paint onto it and since it still was missing something I die cut the top layer of the Snowflake Tunnel Card by ScrappyTails from vellum, cut it a bit shorter and glued it onto the back. I also drew a frame onto both inner sides using a silver gel pen.

 

 Die großen Briefkuverts sind mit einer der Stanzen aus dem Happy Mail Set gemacht, wobei ich für den braunen Umschlag das Ende eines zweiten Stanzteils mit einer großen Kreisstanze ausgestanzt und als Klappe aufgeklebt habe. Für den Verschluss habe ich das "Schlüsselloch" benutzt und darunter silbernes Garn in 8er-Form gelegt. Das habe ich dann oben zur Schleife gebunden.

Der kleine Briefumschlag ist aus dem Postage Collage Mini Seals Set von WaffleFlower und aus cremefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt. Darin steckt dann ein Brief aus dem selben Set, darauf habe ich mit hellblauer Tinte einen der Texte aus dem Open Book Trio Stempelset aufgestempelt. 

Der blaue Umschlag ist ein wenig gewischt und mit einer Schleife dekoriert. Die schmalen Streifen habe ich einfach mit dem Cutter geschnitten, die Schleife ist aus dem Postage Collage Gifts Set von WaffleFlower. Ich habe oben eine kleine Briefmarke - gemacht mit einer Stanze aus dem Happy Mail Set und diversen Postage Collage Stempeln - aufgeklebt und quer mit hellblauer Tinte einen Entwertungsstreifen aufgestempelt. Das Adressfeld ist wieder aus dem Set Open Book Trio.  

Ich habe alle Elemente mit Copics schattiert.  

 In das kleine, offene Briefkuvert habe ich dann Schneeflocken-Sticks von Gummiapan sowie Pflanzen aus dem Postage Collage Mini Seals Set gesteckt. Drumherum habe ich dann kleine Herzen und winzige Schneeflocken verteilt. Und weil ich von dem Schneeflocken-Bogen aus Vellum noch kleine Schneeflocken als "Müll" hatte - und das sogar doppelt denn ich habe mich einmal verklebt und musste den Bogen zweimal stanzen - habe ich die auch noch als Deko auf den Briefen verteilt. Außerdem habe ich einen kleinen Schnörkel mit Schneeflocken aus dem Snowflake Tunnel Card Set aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt, zerschnitten und in Teilen hinter den Briefen angebracht.

 

The large envelopes are made using a die from Happy Mail. For the brown envelope I used a large circle die to cut off the top of a second die cut and used it as a flap. For the seal I used the "key hole" die from the set and put some silver twine in the shape of an 8 under the circles, then tieing it into a little bow. 

The small envelope is from Postage Collage Mini Seals by WaffleFlower and cut from cream colored cardstock. Inside I tucked a letter from the same set, that I had stamped one of the texts from Open Book Trio onto.

The blue envelope I inked a bit at the bottom and decorated it with a bow. I simply cut the thin paper strips with my paper cutter, the bow is from Postage Collage Gifts by WaffleFlower.  I added a small stamp to the top, made using a die vom Happy Mail and different Postage Collage stamp set, then stamped a cancellation mark with light blue ink all over it. The adress is once again made using a stamp from Open Book Trio.

I shaded all elements with Copics.

I then tucked some snowflake picks by Gummiapan and different foliage from Postasge Collage Mini Seals into the open envelope. Around those I added small hearts and tiny snowflakes. And because I had those small vellum snowflakes left over - the trash from the snowflake arch in the background - I scattered those onto and behind the evelopes. I even had double the amount of those snowflakes because I adhered the first arch wrong and wasn't able to salvage it and had to cut a new one for the card. I also die cut a small flourish with snowflakes from Snowflake Tunnel Card from silver glitter cardstock, cut it into pieces and adhered those behind the envelopes.

 

 Den Text meiner Karte habe ich auf die Rückseite der Kartenfront angebracht, die beim Aufklappen den Boden der Karte bildet. 

Ich habe hier das Wort Winter mit der Winter Word Stanze von MariannneDesign gestanzt  und aufgeklebt. Die Shadow Layer ist aus dunkelblauem, das Wort selbst aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt. 

Darüber und darunter habe ich dann "sending" und "wishes and snowflake kisses" weiß aufembosst. Die Texte sind aus dem Bitty Holiday Wishes Set von MFT. 

Rund um den Text habe ich einige weitere Herzen aufgeklebt.

 

I placed the text onto the backside of the cardfront, that lays flat and makes the bottom when the card is opened.

I die cut and adhered the word winter here, made using the Winter word die by MarianneDesign. I cut the shadow layer from dark blue cardstock, the word from silver glitter cardstock.

Above and under it I white heat embossed "sending" and "wishes and snowflake kisses" onto the card. Those texts are from Bitty Holiday Wishes by MFT.

Then I glued some more hearts around the text.

 

 Und auf diesem Foto sieht man, wie weit die Briefe from Hintergrund aufstehen. Beim Zusammenklappen falten sie sich flach zusammen. Für den Mechanismus gibt es im Happy Mail Set natürlich ebenfalls eine Stanze.

 

And on this picture you can see, how far the envelopes pop up from the background. When the card is folded, the envelopes lay down flat. Of course there's also a die for this mechanism included in the Happy Mail set.

 

Weihnachtsgruß unter der Glocke

Ich hatte Euch am 2.11. ja  bereits davor gewarnt, dass ab sofort die Weihnachtsbastelsaison offiziell eröffnet ist. Und so zeige ich Euch heute gleich die nächste Weihnachtskarte.

On november 2nd I already warned all of you  that christmas card season has officially started. And so I am sharing another christmas card with you today.

 

Die Karte ist tatsächlich von meiner Weihnachtsdeko inspiriert. Nein, die habe ich noch nicht aufgebaut, aber im Kopf geht man ja doch alles vorher mal durch. Also zumindest ich mache das so. Vielleicht fehlt ja noch was oder man hat eine Idee für eine Veränderung...

Ich liebe Etageren und Glasglocken. Und unter so einer versteckt sich der Gruß auf meiner heutigen Karte. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich helltürkis farbenen Cardstock genommen und den Holiday Words Background von SimonSaysStamp mit einer nur etwas dunkleren Stempeltinte aufgestempelt. Die Ränder des Cardstocks habe ich dann dunkeltürkis und schwarz gewischt. Außerdem habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

This card is inspired by my christmas decorations. I don't have those up yet, but I like to plan it ahead. There might be a piece missing or you have an idea for some changes...

I love trays - with and without stands - and cloches. So I put the greeting on today's card under a cloche. 

For the background I stamped the Holiday Words Background by SimonSaysStamp onto light aqua cardstock, using ink, that's just a bit darker than the paper. I inked the edges of the cardstock with darker aqua and black ink and also splattered some white acrylic paint onto it.

 

 Ich hatte einen bestimmten Look für meine Etagere im Kopf und dafür natürlich keine passende Stanze. Also habe ich diverse kombiniert, um den Look zu erhalten, der mir vorschwebte.

Ich habe den Fuß der Etagere aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Dafür kam die kleinere Platte des Tiered Trays von Spellbinders zum Einsatz, das kürzere der Verbindungsstücke habe ich unten als Ständer angeklebt und für den Fuß einfach ein schwarzes dünnes Oval verwendet. 

Dekoriert habe ich die Etagere im unteren Bereich dann mit einer Schleife. Die ist aus dem Christmas Cloche Set von Concord and 9th. Ich habe sie aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Ground Espresso etwas schattiert. 

 

I had a special look in mind for my tray but didn't have the right die for it. So I combined different sets to get the look I was after.

I die cut the bottom of the tray from black cardstock. I used the smaller of the trays from Tiered Trays by Spellbinders and the shorter of the connector pieces from this set as the stand. To the bottom I glued a small thin oval.

I decorated the bottom of my tray with a large red bow. This ons is from Christmas Cloche by Concord and 9th. I cut it from red cardstock and shaded it with a bit of Distress Ink Ground Espresso.

 

 Auch die Glasglocke ist aus dem Set Christmas Cloche - die passt nämlich quasi perfekt in den Schlitz, der in das Tablett gestanzt wird. Ich habe die Glasglocke aus Acetate gestanzt und in den Schlitz gesteckt, den unten überstehenden Teil habe ich einfach weggeschnitten. So konnte ich das Acetate aber super hinten am Tablett ankleben, ohne mir Gedanken darüber zu machen, wo ich den Kleber verstecke. 

Auf dem Tablett befindet sich der Text, der hier eigentlich das Hauptelement der Karte ist. Er ist mit der Frohes Fest in Baumform Stanze von Charlie und Paulchen gemacht. Den Text habe ich aus mattem, den Stern an der Spitze aus glänzendem silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt. Unten hinter das Wort habe ich zwei Tannenzweige geklebt.

Mit einem weißen Acrylstift habe ich Highlights auf das Acetate aufgemalt. Das macht es ein wenig besser sichtbar, aber irgendwie wollte ich es noch etwas mehr hervorheben. Also habe ich den oberen Rand des Griffes und der Glasglocke an sich mit Flüssigkleber bestrichen und dann Clear Rock Candy Glitter von Tim Holtz aufgestreut. Auch die Schleife hat ein wenig davon abbekommen.

Nach dem Trocknen habe ich dann weißes Twine um den Griff gewickelt und daran zwei silberne Glöckchen gebunden.  Als Deko habe ich zwei kleine Ilexblätter sowie eine rote Perle als Beere aufgeklebt.

 

The cloche is also from Christmas Cloche - it fits nearly perfectly into the slit that gets cut into the tray. I cut the cloche from acetate and put it as far down into the slit until I was happy with the size. The overhang I simply cut off. This way I was able to glue the acetate to the back of the tray without having to find a creative way to hide the glue.

On the tray there's the text, that's kind of the main element of my card. It means "merry christmas" and is made using a die by Charlie und Paulchen. I cut the text from matte, the star on top from shiny silver metallic cardstock. Behind the bottom I put two pine branches.

With a white acrylic marker I drew some highlights onto the acetate. That makes it better visible, but I wanted more. So I applied liquid glue onto the handle and the top of the cloche and covered it with Clear Rock Candy Glitter by Tim Holtz. I also applied some onto the bow.

After the glue had dried I wrapped some white twine around the handle and tied two silver bells to it. As decoration I added a two small holly leaves and a red pearl as a berry.  

 

 Hinter die Etagere habe ich dann 3D Tape gesetzt, hinter einigen der Buchstaben und strategisch hinter der Deko oben an der Glasglocke befinden sich ebenfalls einige kleine/schmale Stücke.

Irgendwie war mir die Karte dann zu nackt. Also habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames von Create a Smile ausgestanzt und aufgeklebt. Dabei habe ich mittig zwei Stücke herausgeschnitten, so dass die Etagere nicht überdeckt wird bzw. der Platz dahinter frei ist.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch einige silberne Sternkonfetti auf der Karte verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Behind the tray I put foam tape, putting some small/thin pieces also behind a few of the letters and behind the decorations at the top of the cloche. 

The card seemed a bit too plain to me. So I die cut one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames by Create a Smile from black cardstock and glued it on. I cut a piece from both the top and the bottom of the frame so the tray doesn't get covered and there are no pieces behind the cloche. 

As a last step I added some silver star confetti as decoration and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Die Karte, die ich Euch heute zeige, verbreitet Weihnachtsgefühle - nicht nur wegen des Textes, sondern vor allem natürlich wegen der Gestaltung.

Today's card is giving me the christmas vibes - not only because of the text but of course also because of all those christmas-sy elements on it.

 

Die Karte sieht auf den ersten Blick so viel aufwändier aus, als sie eigentlich ist. Die komplette Karte ist quasi mit nur einem Stanzenset gestaltet. Nur für die Deko habe ich das noch das Mädel mit den Geschenken von Charlie und Paulchen mit eingebaut. 

Die Karte an sich - und alle Dekoelemente - sind mit dem Door Decor Stanzenset von Concord and 9th gemacht. Ich habe die Grundkarte mit der großen Stanze im Set aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann die Tür aus graubraunem Cardstock darauf gestaltet. Die Türblätter sind mit zwei Lagen weißen Cardstocks hinterlegt. Auf die Tür habe ich dann mit einem graubraunen und einem weißen Polychromo ganz sanft ein Holzmuster aufgemalt.

 

This card looks so much more involved than it actually is. It is completly made using one die set, I only brought in the girl with the presents by Charlie und Paulchen. 

The card base - and all the deco elements - are made using the Door Decor die set by Concord and 9th. I die cut the card base with the large die from the set from white cardstock and then created the door on top from grey-ish brown cardstock. I put two layers cut from white cardstock behind the doors and also used a grey-ish brown and a white Polychromo to very softly add a wooden pattern to the door.

 

 Hinter die Türen habe ich eine Lage Acetate und dann hellblauen Cardstock gesetzt. Im Stanzenset sind auch kleine Schneehäufchen für die kleinen Scheiben in der Tür enthalten. Die habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und auf die Folie geklebt.

Den Türkranz und die Girlande habe ich jeweils aus hellem und dunklem leicht bläulich-grünen Cardstock gestanzt und das dunklere Teil jeweils so gedreht, dass die Rückseite sichtbar ist. Ich habe beide Lagen leicht mit Copics schattiert und auf der Tür befestigt. Dabei habe ich die Girlande an der linken, den Kranz auf der rechten Tür befestigt. 

Aus silbernem Spiegelcardstock habe ich noch die Kugeln aus dem Set ausgestanzt und als Deko auf Girlande und Kranz geklebt. Und am Kranz befindet sich eine große weiße Schleife, die ich mit Copics leicht grau schattiert habe.

Den Text auf der Karte habe ich ganz zum Schluss aufgeklebt und wirkich lange überlegt, ob ich den nicht lieber ins Innere der Karte setze. Aber er passt einfach so toll zum Look der Karte. Er ist aus dem Set Wonder of Christmas von HoneyBeeStamps und mit grau-brauner Tinte auf hellgrünen Cardstock gestempelt.

 

I put a layer of acetate behind the doors and then some light blue cardstock. There are even little piles of snow for the window panes included in the die set. I cut those from white cardstock and glued them onto the acetate.

The wreath and the garland I cut from light and dark blue-ish green carstock and turned the darker pieces, so the back is facing up. I shaded both layers lightly with Copics and adhered them to the door. I glued the wreath onto the right, the garland onto the left door.

From silver mirror cardstock I cut the little balls from the set and glued them as decoration onto the wreath and the garland. And to the wreath I also glued a large white bow, that I shaded a soft grey with Copics.

 The text on the card was the very last thing I added to it and I really thought long about adding it at all or just putting it inside the card. But it goes so wonderfully with the mood of the card. It's from Wonder of Christmas by HoneyBeeStamps, stamped with grey-ish brown ink onto light green cardstock. 

 

 Im unteren Bereich der Karte habe ich zwei große Blumentöpfe mit dekorierten Tannen aufgestellt. Die Töpfe sind wieder aus silbernem Spiegel-Cardstock, die Tannen aus Cardstock in den beiden Grüntönen, die ich schon für den Kranz und die Girlande benutzt habe, gestanzt. 

Dekoriert sind die Tannen je mit einer weiteren weißen Schleife und einem Stern auf der Spitze. Der ist eigentlich eine Blume aus dem Set, sieht aber aus silbernem Spiegel-Cardstock aus wie ein Stern. 

Ich habe auf die Girlande, den Kranz, die Tannen und auch die Schleifen Schneepaste aufgetupft. Außerdem hatte ich noch ein paar der Schneehäufchen aus den Türfenstern übrig, die habe ich dann kurzerhand neben die Blumentöpfe sowie die Kasetten unten in der Tür geklebt.

 

At the bottom of the card I adhered a flower pot with a decorated christmas tree to the left and right of the door. I cut the pots from silver mirror cardstock, the trees from the same shades of green cardstock that I had already used for the wreath and garland. 

I decorated the trees with another white bow and a star at the tree top. This star originally is a flower from the set, but cut from silver mirror cardstock it looks like a star.  

I dabbed some snow paste onto the garland, the wreath, the trees and also the bows.

I also had some of the snow piles left over from decorating the door. I simply glued those next to the flower pots and also onto the raised field at the bottom of the door.

 

 

 Und dann kam die "Französin beim Shoppen" von Charlie und Paulchen zum Einsatz. Ich weiß, sie ist fast ein wenig zu klein für die große Tür, aber an alten Häusern gibt es doch diese immensen Tore, das habe ich mir hier vorgestellt. So passt dann auch die Größe - und solche Tore sind auf jeden Fall üppig dekoriert. 

Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Dann habe ich sie in einzelne Teile unterteilt und mit jeweils einer Lage weißen Cardstocks dazwischen im 3D Look aufgebaut. Auch der Kopf des Hunds ist eine extra Lage. 

 

And then I brought in the "Französin beim Shoppen" - french girl at shopping - by Charlie und Paulchen. I know, she's nearly a tad bit too small for this large door. But there are those old houses that have really large doors and that's what I imagine here. Then the size works, and those doors are always decorated lavishly.

I cut the girl from white cardstock and colored her with Copics. Then I cut her into individual layers and put her back together in a 3D look, adding white cardstock behind each layer. Also the dog's head is an individual layer.

 

Ich habe die Deko-Elemente mit dünnem, das Mädchen mit dickem 3D Tape auf die Tür geklebt - hinter dem Hund befindet sich 3D Tape, das ich aber nicht aufgeklebt habe, so dass die Tür sich noch öffnen lässt (die beiden Türen öffnen sich übrigens in der Mitte jeweils zur Seite). 

Zum Schluss habe ich noch weiße Acrylfarbe als Schneefall über alles gespritzt.

 

I added the door decorations with thin, the girl with thick foam tape. Behind the dog I put some foam tape, but didn't glue it onto the door so the card can still be opened (the doors open in the center and fold to the left and right). 

Then I splattered white acylic paint over the whole card to make it look like there's some snow falling. 

 

Karten zum Uni-Abschluss

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Unsere beiden "Kleinen" sind mit der Uni fertig, und zu diesem Anlass habe ich natürlich eine Karte gewerkelt. Nachdem nun auch die letzte - ich habe gleich noch eine für die WG-Mitbewohnerin gemacht - übergeben wurde, kann ich sie Euch endlich zeigen.

Hello everyone!

Our  "little" ones finished university and of course I made them a card. After I have handed over the last one - I also made one for a room mate - I can finally share them with you.

Für die Außenseite der Karte habe ich das Happy Headlines Stempelset von Concord and 9th benutzt. Es ist wie die erste Seite einer Zeitung gestaltet, der Text unter dem Bild und natürlich das Bild selbst können je nach Anlass variiert werden. Hier habe ich natürlich ein Graduation-Thema benutzt.

Um die "Zeitung" etwas interessanter und bis auf das Bild nicht nur schwarz-weiß zu gestalten, habe ich einige Elemente wie z. B. die Schlagzeile ein weiteres Mal auf grauen Cardstock gestempelt, ausgeschnitten und auf den weißen Stempelabdruck aufgeklebt. Den Preis habe ich auf gelben Cardstock gestempelt, ebenfalls ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt.

For the front of the card I used the Happy Headlines stamp set by Concord and 9th. It's created like the first page of a newspaper, the text under the picture and of course the picture itself can be created matching the occasion the card is made for. Of course I went with a graduation theme here.

To make the "newspaper" a bit more interesting and, except for the image, not just black and white I stamped parts of the newspaper - like the headline - onto grey ink, cut them out and glued them in place. The price I stamped onto yellow cardstock, cut it out also and glued it down.

Auch in das Feld für das Bild habe ich hellgrauen Cardstock geklebt. Auf den habe ich zuvor mit einem Stencil und Distress Ink Hickory Smoke Strahlen aufgewischt. 

Dann habe ich ein aus rotem Cardstock gestanztes und mit schwarzen Schatten versehenes YAY! aus einzelnen Buchstaben gestaltet und auf das Feld geklebt. Damit es zum Thema Abschluss passt, habe ich eine Graduation Cap und ein Diplom aus dem Stempelset Smart Cookie von LawnFawn zu den Buchstaben geklebt. Die Motive sind mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. 

Rundherum habe ich dann noch einige Sterne, gestanzt aus goldenem Spiegel-Cardstock, aufgeklebt.

Und die Wettervorhersage sagt Konfettiregen hervor.... Dafür habe ich einen kleinen Partyhut aus dem Magical Frame Stanzenset von Create a Smile aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt, den Bommel oben abgeschnitten und dem Hut einen dunklen Schatten an der Öffnung gegeben. Dann habe ich ihn liegend aufgeklebt. Aus dem Partyhut fliegen dann zwei Luftschlagen sowie goldene Folienkonfetti und winzige schwarze Sternkonfetti. 

I glued a piece of grey cardstock into the frame for the picture/image also. Before I glued it down I inked some rays onto it using a stencil and Distress Ink Hickory Smoke.

Then I created a YAY! from red cardstock, added a black shadow to the letters and adhered them onto the grey cardstock square. To bring in the graduation theme I decorated the letters with a graduation cap and a diploma from Smart Cookie by LawnFawn. I colored the images with Copics and cut them out with my scissors.

I die cut some stars from gold mirror cardstock and placed those around the die cut letters.

The forecast predicts showers of confetti.... I die cut a small party hat from the Magical Frame die set by Create a Smile, cut off the top and added a black shadow to the opening. Then I glued it down in a laying position. Out of this "hat" there are flying some streamers, gold foil confetti and tiny black star confetti.

Beim Aufkleben der Elemente habe ich kein 3D Tape verwendet, so dass die Kartenfront so flach und eben wie möglich ist.

Die Karte ist nämlich so schon recht dick - und das liegt hieran:

Hier habe ich auch das Innere der Karte so richtig dekoriert und dafür die Pop-Up Burst Base und das dazugehörige Pop-Up Burst of Cheer Stanzen von Concord and 9th benutzt.

Der Kartenrohling ist aus weißem Cardstock, auf den ich Decade Distress Mica Spray aufgespritzt habe. Dafür habe ich nur einen Pinsel benutzt, so dass die Flecken schön klein sind und nicht von der Deko ablenken.

I also decorated the inside of the card and used the Pop-Up Burst Base and the add-on Pop-Up Burst of Cheer die sets by Concord and 9th.

The card base is cut from white cardstock, then I added Splatters of Decade Distress Mica Spray. I used  a brush to end up with small splatters, that don't distract from the decorations.

Auch den Pop-Up Mechanismus habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und den oberen Teil etwas kürzer geschnitten, so dass die Buchstaben darüber hinausragen. Auch die Strahlen-Basen für die Sterne und Buchstaben sind aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt.

Die Buchstaben für das Wort Hooray habe ich einmal aus schwarzem und aus verschiedenen Tönen roten Cardstocks gestanzt. Jeden roten Buchstaben habe ich mit einem schwarzen Schatten versehen und dann auf den entsprechenden Strahl geklebt.

Die Sterne sind aus goldenem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt.

Laut Anleitung werden die Buchstaben an die Rückseite des kleineren Teils des Mechanismus geklebt -ich wolte dort aber eine zweite Ebene mit Sternen haben. Also habe ich die Buchstaben einfach auf den hinteren Teil des Mechanismus geklebt. Dafür musste ich nur die Stralen unten ein wenig kürzen.

Auf die langen Strahlen hab ich dann noch ein kleines "you did it" geklebt. Es ist aus dem Stempelset Itty Bitty Celebrations von MFT und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

Also the pop-up mechanism I've die cut from white cardstock and cut the upper part a bit shorter, so the letters go over its edges. Also the base rays for the stars and letters I die cut from white cardstock.

The letters for the word hooray I die cut from black cardstock and also from different shades of red. I put each red letter a bit offset onto a black one, then adhered them to the matching ray.

The stars I die cut from gold mirror cardstock.

According the instructions the letters are made to be glued behind the shorter part of the mechanism, but I really wanted to add a second layer of stars there. So I simply glued my letters to the back piece of the mechanism. The only adjustment I had to make was cutting off a bit of the lower  ends of the rays.

Onto the long rays I adhered a little "you did it". It's from Itty Bitty Celebrations by MFT and white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

 

 Vor alles kam dann das große Banner, das ebenfalls im Pop-Up Burst Base Stanzenset  enthalten ist. Es steht ebenfalls hervor und bildet eine weitere Ebene.

Ich habe das Banner aus hellgrauem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Distress Ink Hickory Smoke und etwas Black Soot schattiert und es dann zusammengeklebt.

Auf den größten Teil des Banners habe ich dann aus gestanzten Buchstaben das Wort "congradulations" geschrieben - ein toller Mix aus "congratulations" und "graduate". Dabei habe ich die Buchstaben für den Wortteil "grad" mit etwa  doppelt so großen Buchstaben geschrieben. Die hab ich jeweils aus schwarzem und rotem Cardstock gestanzt und aufeinander geklebt.

Unter das Banner habe ich dann noch ein - wieder weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosstes - "so proud of you" aus dem Set Family Time von MamaElephant gesetzt. Bei der Mitbewohnerin einer meiner Mädels habe ich hier ein "so excited for you" benutzt.

In front of everything I put the large banner, that comes in the Pop-Up Burst Base die set also. It's standing up as well and creates another layer inside the card.

I die cut the banner from light grey cardstock, inked it slightly with Distress Ink Hickory Smoke and a bit of Black Soot and put it together.

With die cut letters I wrote the word "congradulations" onto the larger part of the banner. For the part "grad" I used letters that are about double the height and cut them from both black and red cardstock, then stacked them.

Under  the banner I added another small text, this time a "so proud of you" from Family Time by MamaElephant, again white heat embossed onto black cardstock. For the room mate I went with a "so excited for you" here.

Als Deko habe ich dann noch kleine goldene Sterne sowie einige ausgestanzte Luftschlangen aufgeklebt.

Die Karte wirkt aufgeklappt wirklich toll  - die ganze Deko macht sie aber auch recht dick. Wie man hier sehen kann, habe ich beim Aufkleben der Kartenfront einen Streifen grauen Cardstocks mit eingefasst, der um die Karte gelegt wird. Auf der Rückseite der Karte und dem Streifen befindet sich dann ein kleiner Magnet, der sie geschlossen hält. Und um den Magneten auf der Rückseite der Karte zu verdecken, habe ich noch eine Lage weißen Cardstocks aufgeklebt. Das macht die Karte auch stabiler.

I added more small gold stars and some die cut streamers as decoration.

The opened card looks amazing - but all those decorations make it pretty thick as well. As you can see did I add a strip of grey cardstock between the card base and the front panel. It can be wrapped around the card. On the back of the card and the strip I put a small magnet, that holds the card closed. To cover the magnet on the back of the card I added another layer of white cardstock there, that makes the card more stable, too.
