I love to read

Schönen Dienstag Ihr Lieben!
Die "Wiederholungstäter" unter Euch wissen, dass ich Euch heute wieder ein Werk mit einem Sugar Nellie Stempel zeige. Und ich habe mal wieder zu einem der Simply Sassy Stempel gegriffen...

Those of you that come to my blog regularly know that I am sharing a new Sugar Nellie creation today. And once again I picked a Simply Sassy image...

Die mit Brille sind mir irgendwie am liebsten - so auch "I Love To Read". Er ist so wunderbar vielseitig einsetzbar - zum ersten Schultag, auf Schultüten oder auch als Lesezeichen, so wie bei mir hier heute.
Sommersprossen und rote Haare, so stelle ich sie mir vor. Und so habe ich sie dann auch coloriert.
Der Tag ist mit einem Buchstabenmix von Stampin'Up bestempelt und mit kleinen Farbspritzern verziert. Auch die Papiere im Vordergrund sind mit Buchstaben/Texten bedruckt. Ein Buch-Charm und das Wort "read" runden das ganze dann ab. Die Enden des Bandes sind so lang, dass sie unten aus dem Buch herausschauen - aber dann wäre das Lesezeichen auf dem Foto so klein gewesen, dass Ihr nichts mehr hättet erkennen können... ;)

I love those with glasses the most - and I Love To Read is one of those. It can be used in so many ways - for a first day of school card, a school cone or on a bookmark, like I did here.
Some how I think of freckles and red hair when I look at this cutie, and this is what I colored her today.
On the tag there have been stamped on letter by Stampin' Up. Also the other papers have letters/text printed on them. A book charm and the word "read" are the perfect finish for this.
The ribbon is long enough to show up at the bottom of the book - but if I would have shown that on a photo the bookmark would have been so small on the picture that you wouldn't have been able to see any details... ;)

Ich hoffe, mein Post hier geht so online, wie er soll - die komplette Blogger-Oberfläche sieht anders aus und ich komme damit so überhaupt noch nicht zurecht... Und darum hoffe ich, Ihr könnt meine Karte für unsere neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity auch sehen. Diese Woche haben wir eine "nur Magnolia" challenge.

Ich habe hier nicht nur die süße Tilda With Floating Hearts verwendet, sonder noch mehr Magnolia-Produkte. Neben Papier auch folgende dies: Angel Wing und So Wrapped Lovely. So ist tatsächlich eine "nur Magnolia" Karte entstanden...

I did not only use a Magnolia image but also the Angel Wing and So Wrapped Lovely dies and some Magnolia papers. So I really nearly made a "Magnolia only" card.

Für mein heutiges Projekt habe ich keine Karte, sondern einen Hänger in Form einer großen Rosette gemacht. Und das süße Oster-/Frühlingsmotiv, das ich Euch präsentieren darf, ist

For my project today I didn't make a card but a big paper rosette. And the cute easter/spring image I am proud to present you is

Daffodil Pip.

Passend zur frühlingshaften Coloration des Motives habe ich auch für die Rosette gelb, grün und weiß gewählt. Die Rosette misst stolze 30cm im Durchmesser. Da ich sie an die Tür hänge wollte ich sie nicht überladen, damit nichts abfallen kann oder die Deko zu schwer wird.
Die Buchstaben sind ausgestanzt und mit ein paar kleinen Glitzersteinchen verziert.

Matching my spring-ish coloring of this cutie I also went with yellow, green and white for the rosette. It is 30 cm in diameter. Since I plan to hang it on a door I didn't want to add too many embellishments so the whole thing isn't getting to heavy or the embellishments may come off due to their weight.
The letter were cut with a cutting die and I added a few little rhinestones to them.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 18. Februar 2012

Wunderschönen Samstag und willkommen zu einer neuen Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins! Diesmal zeigen wir Euch, wie Ihr einen Teelichthalter machen könnt - mit Glas, damit er auch benutzbar ist.

Happy saturday and welcome to another issue of Stempeleinmaleins. This week we have a tutorial for you for how to make such a tealight holder where you put in a glass so it can be used without danger.

Ein Motiv mit Kerze oder Laterne war hier natürlich perfekt - und Tilda bot sich hier dann an. Ich habe sie mit Copics coloriert und die Laterne und Lichtreflexe habe ich mit gelber Schimmerkreide gemacht. Im Hintergrund habe ich Zaun und Baum von Magnolia gesetzt und den Baum mit kleinen cremefarbenen Blüten etwas frühlingshaft gestaltet. Das Gras ist mit einer Stanze von Martha Stewart gemacht.

To use an image with a lantern or candle was something that came to my mind first - and Tilda was my # 1 choice. I colored her with Copics and used shimmer chalks to add the yellow candle light and reflexes. In the background I added the fence and tree by Magnolia and made the tree a little spring-ish by adding tiny cream blossoms. The grass is made using a Martha Stewart punch.

Ich wollte die süße Tilda with Love Letter unbedingt verwenden - und da kam mir die Idee mit dem geöffneten Briefkuvert und dem Liebesbrief darin. Und als ich dann nach einem passenden Die für die Dekoration gesucht hatte, kam mir der Ballon von Whimsy Stamps in die Hände und ich dachte sofort an einen Liebesbrief per Luftpost... Nun fallen klitzekleine Herzchen aus der Gondel des Ballons...

I wanted to use this sweet Tilda with Love Letter - and then I got the idea of adding an opened enveloped with a love letter beside her. When I was looking through my dies to find a matching one for decoration I came across the hot air balloon die by Whimsy Stamps and had the idea of an airmail love letter... And now there are tiny hearts falling out of the balloon...
