Wie jeden Dienstag zeige ich Euch auch heute eine Karte, auf der ich einen Sugar Nellie Stempel verwendet habe.

As every tuesday I am sharing a card with a Sugar Nellie image on.

Darf ich Euch Faye und ihren Frosch-Freund Freddie vorstellen? Ich habe mich in die beiden auf den ersten Blick verliebt. Und da ich mir vor kurzem die ersten dieser Feen bestelle habe, werden sie jetzt schonungslos abgestempelt. Es könnten also noch mehr Feen auf Euch warten...

May I introduce you to Faye and her little froggy friend Freddie? I fell in love with these two cuties at first sight. And since I ordered my very first ones of these fairies little ago there might be more fairy cards waiting for you....

Faye and Freddie habe ich auf Fliegenpilze gesetzt und somit waren rot-weiß die vorgegebenen Farben. Und natürlich grün, denn Frösche sind grün. Ich habe bestimmt schon über diese Farbkombi gejammert, denn bei mir geht die irgendwie gar nicht. Und farblich ist die Weihnachtszeit immer eine echte Herausforderung für mich. Aber diesmal fiel es mir ganz leicht!

Faye and Freddie are sitting on death caps so the given colors were red and white. Oh, and of course green because that's what frogs are. For sure I have been complaining about this color combo before because it is horrible for me to work with it. Colorwise christmas time is horrible for me. But this time it was really easy to do!

Whiff Of Joy Challenge - paper piecing

Es sind schon wieder zwei Wochen vergangen, darum startet unsere neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy Challenges. Paper Piecing ist das Thema, das wir für Euch ausgesucht haben.

Two weeks have passed again and so we at Whiff Of Joy Challenges have a new challenge up for you. Paper Piecing is the theme we picked.

Ich habe "Ben im Regen" verwendet. Die Ben und Nora Stempel sind super für das Paper Piecing geeignet, da sie zwar detailliert sind, die einzelnen Teile sich aber noch gut ausschneiden lassen. Ich habe mich am klassischen Friesennerz in gelb orientiert, wollte aber etwas Muster reinbringen und habe daher das gelb-weiß gemusterte Papier für Jacke und Schuhe benutzt. Der Regenschirm und das Shirt sind aus blauem Papier mit grünen Punkten, wobei man die Punkte auf dem Shirt nicht sieht. Und das tolle beim Papier Piecing ist, dass man sich über passenden Papiere kaum Gedanken zu machen braucht...

I used "Ben in the Rain". Those Ben and Nora stamps are perfect for paper piecing since they are full of details but those pieces can still be cut out easily. I wanted to go with the classical yellow jacket and shoes for rain clothes but wanted to add some structure and so I used this white and yellow paper. The umbrella and the shirt are made from the same blue paper with green dots but there can't be seen any dots on the shirt. And the good thing with paper piecing is that you don't have to think long about matching papers....

Ein neuer Montag, eine neue Woche beginnt - und eine neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Diesmal möchten wir gerne selbstgemachte Blumen sehen.

Hello dear friends!
It's a new monday, a new week starts - and a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. This week we want you to make your own handmade flowers.

Ich habe auf meiner Karte "Frühlingsspaß", designed von Norma Fickel, von Whiff of Joy verwendet. Ich finde, sie sind perfekt fürs Paper Piecing und nachdem mir hin und wieder doch der Sinn danach steht, greife ich dann gerne zu diesen Motiven. Und das beste - dieses und 3 weitere Frühlingsmotive sind bei Whiff of Joy gerade stark reduziert.
Für meine selbstgemachte Blume habe ich die Stanze Doily Flowers von Magnolia verwendet.
Hinter dem Motiv habe ich einen Streifen "Townscape", eine Stanze von Sizzix, angebracht, und auch das Wort "spring" ist mit einer Sizzix-Stanze geschnitten.
Die Wolke ist wieder von Magnolia.

I used "Frühlingsspaß" - spring fun - designed by Norma Fickel for Whiff Of Joy on my card. I think these are perfect for paper piecing and since I like to do it every now and then I most times grab one of these cuties. And the best thing is, this image and 3 others are available at Whiff Of Joy for a reduced price at the moment.
For the handmade flower I used the Doily Flowers die by Magnolia.
Behind the image I used a strip cut with a Sizzix die called townscape, also the text is cut with a Sizzix die.
The cloud was made using a Magnolia die.

Wunderschönen Mittwoch Morgen!
Die Sonne ist immer noch Mangelware hier, aber in der Früh zwitschern die Vögel, die Krokusse und Schneeglöckchen blühen im Garten - der Frühling muss unterwegs sein! Und darum gibt es wieder eine Frühlingskarte von mir.
Entstanden ist sie für unsere neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy Challenges. Unser neues Thema ist ein Sketch:

Sunshine is still rare here but the birds are singing in the mornings, foxgloves are blooming in our garden - spring must be on its way! And so I am sharing another spring-ish card today. I made it for our new challenge at Whiff Of Joy Challenges. Our new theme is a sketch:

Ich habe hier "Hallo Marienkäfer" verwendet, der im letztjährigen Frühjahrs-Stempelkit enthalten war und nun als Einzelstempel zu bekommen ist. Und für alle, die nicht genug Frühlingsstempel haben, gibt es bei Whiff Of Joy gerade ein Sonderangebot für viele Frühlingsstempel, z. B. die süßen Zwerge von Norma Fickel.
Ich wollte meine Karte "schön leicht" machen und habe daher sehr viel Weiß benutzt, aufgelockert durch etwas grün und blau. So kommt auch das colorierte Motiv prima zur Geltung. Es ist mit Copics coloriert und auf die Herzen des Kleides habe ich farblosen Spica At You aufgetragen. Leider konnte ich das Glitzern/Schimmern nicht auf dem Foto einfangen...

I used "Hello Ladybug" here, one of the stamps that was included in last year's spring kit but it can be purchased as a single stamp. And for all of you that don't own enough spring stamps Whiff Of Joy is offering reduced prices on a lot of spring stamps, i.e. the cute gnomes by Norma Fickel.
I wanted my card to look "light" and so I used a lot of white with a little bit of blue and green. This also keeps the focus on the colored image. It was colored with Copics and I added Clear Spica At You on the hearts on her dress. Unfortunately I wasn't able to keep the shimmer and glimmer on the photo...

Samstag Mittag - Stempeleinmaleins-Zeit! Und weil es der letzte Samstag im Monat ist gibt es wieder eine Challenge. Dies ist der Sketch für die nächsten 4 Wochen:

It's saturday noon - it's time for Stempeleinmaleins! And since it's the last saturday of the month we have a new challenge up for you. This is the sketch for the next 4 weeks:

And the optional extra theme is "flowers".

Ich habe hier einen der süßen neuen Frühlingsstempel von Whiff Of Joy verwendet. Oh, wie sehr macht dieser Stempel Lust auf den Frühling, auf Sonne und blühende Blumen! 

Ich habe mich für zarte Farben entschieden und um die Karte nicht zu überladen, habe ich die Schnörkel diesmal nur gestickt und zudem neben einem Schmetterling noch ein paar selbstgemachte Gänseblümchen als Deko verwendet.

I used one of the cute new spring stamps by Whiff Of Joy. Oh, this so makes me wish for spring, for sun and blooming flowers!

I went with light colors for this card and to not destroy the lightness I went stitched swirls this time and beside a little butterfly and a few handmade daisies as decoration.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 18. Februar 2012

Wunderschönen Samstag und willkommen zu einer neuen Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins! Diesmal zeigen wir Euch, wie Ihr einen Teelichthalter machen könnt - mit Glas, damit er auch benutzbar ist.

Happy saturday and welcome to another issue of Stempeleinmaleins. This week we have a tutorial for you for how to make such a tealight holder where you put in a glass so it can be used without danger.

Ein Motiv mit Kerze oder Laterne war hier natürlich perfekt - und Tilda bot sich hier dann an. Ich habe sie mit Copics coloriert und die Laterne und Lichtreflexe habe ich mit gelber Schimmerkreide gemacht. Im Hintergrund habe ich Zaun und Baum von Magnolia gesetzt und den Baum mit kleinen cremefarbenen Blüten etwas frühlingshaft gestaltet. Das Gras ist mit einer Stanze von Martha Stewart gemacht.

To use an image with a lantern or candle was something that came to my mind first - and Tilda was my # 1 choice. I colored her with Copics and used shimmer chalks to add the yellow candle light and reflexes. In the background I added the fence and tree by Magnolia and made the tree a little spring-ish by adding tiny cream blossoms. The grass is made using a Martha Stewart punch.

Hello friends!

It's wednesday - and so we at Whiff Of Joy have a new challenge up for you. Love is in the air is our new theme...

Wie Ihr seht, muss es nicht unbedingt ein "echter" Valentinsstempel sein. Ich habe einfach einen der süßen Stempel aus dem Herbstkit verwendet, den Apfel vor dem Stempel "entfernt" und später frei Hand ein Herz an seinen Platz gesetzt. Und ich will es gleich vorweg nehmen - ich habe keine Ahnung warum da zweimal das Wasserzeichen auf meiner Karte gelandet ist. Aber leider ist es jetzt da und ich kann es nicht mehr entfernen...

 Ich habe mich mal für eine runde Karte entschieden, mal was anderes, dachte ich.

As you can see here you don't have to use a "real" valentine's stamp. I used this cute stramp from the fall kit, "removed" the apple before stamping it and hand draw the heart on its place afterwards. 

I have no idea why there are two watermarks on my card - but they are there and I'm not able to remove one of them anymore....

I went with a round card, just for making something different.

Ich habe für mein Projekt gleich zwei unserer allerersten Anleitungen kombiniert: die Sargkarte und das Haunted House. Schließlich ist heute Halloween und da sollte das Projekt zumindest ein wenig gruselig sein! Die Vorderseite habe ich in verschiedenen Lagen gestaltet und neben dem Haunted House noch den Magnolia Tree, eine Reihe Grabsteine von Spellbinders, einen Zaun und eine Fledermaus.  Für das Holzmuster auf dem Sarg habe ich einen Stempel von Stampin' Up verwendet.

For my project I used two of our very first tutorials: the coffin card and the Haunted House. It's Halloween today and so I wanted my project to be at least a bit spooky! I put several layers on the front of the card and beside the Haunted House I put the Magnolia Tree, a row of gravestones by Spellbinders, a fence and a bat on it. The wooden look on the coffin is made using a stamp by Stampin' Up.

 Mit Mini-Tilda, Spinnennetz, Spinne, Spritzern, Text und etwas Cheesecloth.

Hello friends, here I am back again! Like every other monday I am sharing two posts with you here - of course I also want to show you the card I made for our new challenge at Belles'n'Whistles. We'd like to see you using your favourite color combos this fortnight...

Nun, Lieblingskombis habe ich viele und sie hängen ein wenig von meiner Tageslaune und natürlich dem Motiv ab, das ich verwenden will. Rosa, braun und creme - darauf fiel meine Wahl heute, und sie stehen A Pen Friend einfach wunderbar! Die Coloration habe ich möglichst zart gehalten und auch die Hintergrundpapiere sind eher unaufdringlich. Die Briefmarke habe ich selbst zusammengebastelt - aus dem Rand einer Briefmarke von Whimsy Stamps und dem Herz und Text von Stampin' Up.

Well, I think I have many favourite color combos and they depend on my mood and also the image I want to use. Pink, cream and brown - this is what I went with today and I guess these fit A Pen Friend wonderfully! I kept the coloration quite soft and also the background papers aren't too colorfull. The stamp is put together from the frame of a Whimsy Stamp stamp and the heart and saying by Stampin' Up.

Hello and happy sunday to all of you! It's time for another challenge over at Magnolia Down Under and this week we have this sketch by me for you to follow:

Auf meiner Karte habe ich die Chess Tilda mit der Soccer Bench, beides aus der neuen Kollektion, kombiniert. Ich finde diese Tilda wunderbar für Karten zum Schulanfang und die Bank gibt eine tolle Pausenhof-Bank ab. Dazu noch ein Apfel kombiniert und fertig ist die kleine Szene aus dem Schulhof. Der Text ist von Studio G, das Alphabeth von Catslife Press.

On my card I combined the Chess Tilda with the Soccer Bench, both from the newest collection. I love this Tilda for any school themed cards and that bench could stand at any school. I added a little apple and voila - the break scene from school ist ready. Saying is by Studio G, alphabet by Catslife Press.

Cute Card Thursday - round in circles

Hallo und willkommen! Wir bei Cute Card Thursday starten heute wieder mit einer neuen Challenge, und das Thema diesmal lautet "Kreise".

Hello and welcome! We at Cute Card Thursday are starting a new challenge today and the theme we picked for you this week is "circles".

Ich habe eine sommerliche Karte in weiß, rot und gelb gemacht und dazu die süße Kneeling Tilda benutzt. Und das Stück Papier mit den Käfern und der Marienkäfer-Charm paßten da prima dazu. Als ich das letzte Mal eines der großen runden Spitzendeckchen durchgeschnitten habe - oder durchschneiden wollte - merkte ich nicht, daß ich 2 erwischt hatte. Also gibt es hier wieder ein halbes Deckchen, aber ich finde, es sieht schön so aus. Der Text ist von Stampin´Up.

I made a summer card using red, white and yellow and went with the cute Kneeling Tilda. The piece of patterned paper with those bugs printed on and the ladybug charm were the perfect picks to go with this image. And when I cut one of the big round doilies last time - or wanted to cut one - I didn´t realize that I took two and so there is another half one on this card. But I really like that look. Saying is by Stampin´Up.

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Es ist der letzte Samstag im Monat und somit Zeit für eine neue Challenge beim Stempeleinmaleins. Und das ist der Sketch des Monats:

Hello over there! It´s the last saturday of the month and so it´s time for a new challenge over at Stempeleinmaleins. And this is the sketch of this month:



Ich habe ein Motiv von Belles´n´Whistles verwendet: "A Blossom For You". Irgendwie verselbständigt sich mein Stil momentan ein wenig und jetzt war mir mal wieder nach einer vintage Karte. Auf die Idee mit dem Filmstreifen ist mein Mann gekommen - ganz spontan als er den Sketch gesehen hat.

I used an image by Belles´n´Whistles: A Blossom For You. Somehow my style is changing at the moment without me wanting it to - so for today I made a vintage styled card again. The idea of the film strip behind the image is something my husband came up with when he saw the sketch.
