Cute Card Thursday - patriotic

Herzlich willkommen an diesem Donnerstag!
Es ist Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday und diesmal wird es patriotisch!

It's time for a new challenge at Cute Card Thursday and this week we are going patriotic!

Eigentlich ist das ja so gar nicht mein Thema - die Farben sind nicht unbedingt der Knaller, Karten zum Tag der Dt. Einheit verschickt man nicht und einen anderen patriotischen Feiertag haben wir nicht. Das Thema bereitet mir also eigentlich Kopfzerbrechen. Aber dann ist da die Fußball-EM... Und darum habe ich ein Schland-Fähnchen gemacht. Schon Anfang letzter Woche, darauf vertrauend, dass die Jungs es mindestens ins Halbfinale schaffen und ich mit meinem Fähnchen am heutigen Tag nicht etwas dämlich dastehe... ;)

Well, this is not really my theme - the colors of our flag aren't too great for cards, we don't send cards for the day of german reunion and we don't have any other patriotic holiday. So the theme usually is a challenge for me. But then there is the Euopean Championship of Soccer at the moment... And so I made a Schland-flag. Schland isn't a real word - it comes from the fans singing "Deutschland" which means Germany in german but when a crowd of people sings is you only hear "schland" and so this is common and used everywhere in Germany now. I already made this flag beginning of last week, really trusting that our team will made it at least to the half final which will be tonight and so I won't feel stupid for posting it on my blog allthough they already had to go home... Well, they made it so far! ;)

Der süße Fußballer ist von Whiff Of Joy und ich habe ihn nach den Farben der Trikots unserer Mannschaft coloriert. Ansonsten habe ich Farben unserer Flagge verwendet. Und damit es beim Schwenken auch noch schön klingt, habe ich ein kleines Glöckchen mit an das Stäbchen gebunden.

The cute soccer player is a stamp by Whiff Of Joy and I colored his clothes matching the ones our team is wearing. For the rest I used the colors of our flag. And to make it more fun waving the flag I also added a little golden bell to it.

Even if it is a holiday here today in Germany we are starting a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. This week we want you to follow a tutorial for your creation. You can choose any tutorial from www just make sure to link the tutorial you used in your blog post!

Ich hatte schon früher mal ein dieser Schiebe-Pop-Up-Karten gemacht und dann sah ich die abgeänderte Box-Version von Floralframe und sie stand sofort auf meiner Liste. So kam diese Challenge wie gerufen! Und es war total einfach, die Box nachzubasteln, obwohl es auf den ersten Blick doch recht kompliziert aussieht.

I made one of the surprise pop up cards some time ago - and then I came across the altered box version by Floralframe. It went on my to do list - and now the challenge was the perfect time to make it. It was really easy to make the box, even if it looked quite complicated first.

So sieht meine Box geschlossen aus.

Ich habe zum verzieren das Mini Schloss und die Mini Tilda verwendet, dazu Papier von SU.

Auf dem Tag habe ich einen Erdbeer-Charm angebracht und vorne auf der Box nur zwei Röschen, schließlich soll die Box an sich schon wirken.

Also this week starts with a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. And this week our theme is "anything goes".

Ich habe bei Nadell das Magnolia-Tag in groß gesehen und fand die Idee so klasse, dass ich das auch gleich probieren wollte. Und ich habe mir eine Vatertagskarte dazu ausgesucht. Der süße Stempel ist von Lili of the Valley und liegt schon seitdem er rauskam unbenutzt herum. Und die kleinen Werkzeug-Dies passen doch super dazu. Oben am Tag ist noch ein Love-Charm angebracht.

I saw Nadell's big heart shaped tag and had to try one myself. And I decided to make a father's day card. The cute image is by Lili of the Valley and is lying around without being inked up since the day I bought it... Those tools dies are perfect with this image. At the top of the tag I added a round charm that has a heart on one side and the word love on the other.

Montag Morgen... und es gibt natürlich eine neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. "Perlen und Spitze" ist unser neues Thema.

It's monday morning - and of course there is a new challenge over at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Pearls and lace is the new theme we picked for you.

Ich habe eines der neuen Sarah Kay Motive verwendet: Susie Ponders. Sie ist auf kraftfarbenen Cardstock gestempelt, mit Copics coloriert und für das Kleid habe ich einen weißen Polychromo verwendet. Aus Perlen habe ich einen großen Schnörkel "gebastelt", Spitze in Form von Deckchen und Häkelspitze durfte nicht fehlen, dazu dann noch Crackle Paint und fertig ist die Vintage-Karte.

I used one of the new Sarah Kay images: Susie Ponders. I stamped her on kraft cardstock, colored her with Copics and used a white Polychromo/Prismacolor pencil for her dress. From pearls I made that big swirl, added lace and doilies and some Crackle Paint and the vintage card was done.

Heute gibt es eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy und wir möchten eine Runde Bingo mit Euch spielen.

We at Whiff Of Joy have a new challenge up for you and we'd like to play bingo with you this week.

Ich habe mich für die untere Reihe entschieden: Blumen, Pins und Spitze.
Und auf meiner Karte darf ich Euch eine Vorschau auf eines der neuen Motive von Whiff Of Joy geben, die es ab 28. April im Shop zu bestellen geben wird. Es ist aus der neuen Sympathy Stamp Collection von Elisabeth Bell und heißt "Geteilter Schmerz". Auch wenn es eine Trauer-Kollektion ist - ich finde das Motiv toll für jede Gelegenheit, zu der man jemanden Aufheitern möchte.
Der passende Text ist von Stampin'Up. Es wird von Whiff Of Joy auch eine Stempelkollektion, in deutsch und auch in englisch, mit passenden Texten geben, die habe ich aber noch nicht bekommen und somit habe ich auf diesen Text zurückgegriffen.

And on my card I am giving you a preview of one of the new images that will be available at the Whiff Of Joy store from april 28th. It's from the new Sympathy Stamp Collection by Elisabeth Bell and is called "Sharing In Your Sorrow". Even if this is a sympathy collection, this image can be used on any card you want to give someone to cheer him up.
The saying I used is by Stampin Up. There will be a stamp set, in german and in english, with sympathy sayings from Whiff Of Joy as well but I didn't get mine yet and so I went with this text.

Es ist Dienstag - und darum zeige ich heute eine neue Karte mit einem Motiv von Sugar Nellie. Sweet Success ist der Name dieses süßen Stempels - süß im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes, bei dem Berg Pancakes, den die beiden da gebacken haben... ;)

It's tuesday again and so I am sharing another card with you using an image by Sugar Nellie. Sweet Success is the name of this sweet stamp - and it definately is sweet if you look at that big pile of pancakes those two have made... ;)

Ich konnte mich hier mal wieder nicht für ein oder zwei Papiere entscheiden... LOL Aber da Berge von Blumen oder Schnörkel meiner Meinung nach eh nicht so toll zu dem Motiv passen, habe ich mich dann eben dort zurückgehalten. Die Distress Crackle Farbe durfte natürlich nicht fehlen und als Deko habe ich dann doch ein paar Blümchen und einen Kirschen-Charm verwendet.

Once again I couldn't pick just one or two designer's papers... LOL But since I don't think a bunch of flowers or flourishes fits this image I didn't use many of these instead. I put some Distress Crackle Paint on the edges of my papers again and added just a few flowers and a cherry charm.

Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday. Diesmal haben wir ein einfaches Thema für Euch: anything goes.

It's time for a new challenge over at Cute Card Thursday. This week we have an easy theme for you: anything goes.

Ich habe die neuen Stempel von Magnolia bisher viel zu wenig benutzt - und darum Lili the Dragon für meine heutige Karte hervorgeholt. Es ist ja so eine Sache - wann paßt so ein Drache wirklich? Na, auf eine Baby-Karte, habe ich mir gedacht und darum diese Karte gewerkelt. Die Grundform der Karte habe ich mit der Cricut zusammengefügt und geschnitten (die kommt auch viel zu selten zum Einsatz). Dazu dann der Drache als Deko, ein Babyflaschen- und Schnullercharm, Sterne (Spellbinders) und ein kleines Waschetikett. Die kleinen Buchstaben sind mit der Big Shot gestanzt. So, jetzt muss mein Bruder nur noch einen Sohn bekommen... LOL

I didn't use many of the stamps from Magnolia's new collection - and so I brought out Lily the Dragon for today's card. Well, where do dragons fit? On a baby card, that's what I thought, and so decided to make this one. The letters have been welded and cut with my Cricut (another item I am not using enough). As decoration I added the little dragon, a baby bottle and a pacifier charm, stars (cut with Spellbinders) and a little information about caring. The small letters have been cut with the Big Shot. And now I hope my brother will have a little boy... LOL

Für meine Karte diese Woche habe ich die Princess Party Tilda verwendet.

Passend zum Geburtstagsthema habe ich ein Banner als Deko aufgeklebt. Farblich habe ich mich mal an etwas ganz anderes als meine üblichen Kombis rangetraut - und ich bin mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden.

For this week's card I used Princess Party Tilda.

Matching the birthday theme I added a banner as decoration. Colorwise I tried something different than the combos I usually do - and I like how this one turned out.

I didn't get any of the carnival fun yesterday - Natascha got sick. But Pia and Vjelisa went out till late in the evening - not to talk about my dear husband.... ;)

Das mit den Lieblingsstempeln ist so eine Sache.... Nicht nur, dass es total von der Tageslaune abhängt - wie könnte ich einen meiner Stempel nicht mögen? Aber dieser hier, den es früher von Sugar Nellie und nun wieder von Belles'n'Whistles gibt, gehört zu meinen All-Time-Favourites. Und heute war mir genau nach diesem Stempel und Frühlingslaune.

Well, to pick my favourite stamp is impossible. Not only does it depend on my mood that day - but how could I not like one of my stamps? But this one - it was made by Sugar Nellie earlier and is now re-released by Belles'n'Whistles - is one of my all time favourites. And today this one was the right one to pick.

Meine Große wird am Donnerstag 17 - da paßt das Thema ja perfekt. Naja, und mit 17 ist pink ja nicht mehr unbedingt die Lieblingsfarbe. Darum habe ich mich für Türkis und Gelb entschieden und dazu die süße Tilda mit Geschenk verwendet. Quer über die Karte habe ich ein Stück Spitze gelegt und darüber einen Streifen gerkäuselten Stoff.

My oldest will turn 17 on thursday - so this theme is perfect for me this week. Well, if you turn 17 pink might not be your favourite color anymore. So I went with turquoise and yellow and used this cute Tilda with little gift. I put some lace across the card and put a strip of fabric that I crinkled over it.

First I have to appologize - if you've been here earlier today and all you found in this post were two links. I had scheduled the whole posting but somehow all the text and pictures disapperead and those links were all that was left...
So here I am back with a new post with my card for our heart challenge over at Stamps&Fun=Creativity.

Ich habe eine Easel-Karte in Herzenform gemacht und vorne den süßen Henry mit Rose von Whiff Of Joy verwendet. Der Text ist ein Teil eines Stempels von Stampin'Up, bei dem ich die Buchstaben einzeln ausgeschnitten habe. 

I made a heart shaped easel card and used Henry with Rose by Whiff Of Joy as my image. The saying is a part of a stamp by Stampin' Up where I cut out the single letters.

 Auch die Innenseite ist ein wenig dekoriert mir Herz und Spitze.

Also the inside was decorated a bit with a heart and some lace.

Hallo!

Ich weiß ja nicht, wie es bei Euch aussieht - aber bei uns ist alles weiß und eiskalt. Und ganz ehrlich - jetzt hätte ich den Winter auch nicht mehr unbedingt gebraucht. Und darum kämpfe ich mit meiner Karte für unsere neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity gegen den Winter an. Tiere und blau lautet unser neues Thema und nach dieser Vorgabe habe ich eine Frühlingskarte gemacht.

I don't know how the weather is in your area but here in the north of Bavaria we got snow and it's freezing cold outside. To be honest - winter would have been great in december but now... And so I am fighting against the winter weather outside with my card for our new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Animals and blue - this is what we want to see.

Ehrlich gesagt, Tiermotive sind nicht so das meine. Aber dann kamen diese süßen neuen Stempel von Forever Friends "Easter Treats" - und die mußte ich probieren!

Die Papiere sind fast alle aus meinem Restebestand, außerdem habe ich die Wolke, das Gras und den Zaun von Magnolia mit auf der Karte verwendet. Der Text ist von Studio G.

Well, I always struggle with those animal stamps so I rarely use them. But then I got these cute stamps by Forever Friends - and I just had to put them on a card!

Most of the papers are left overs from old stacks, I also used the cloud, the grass and the fence dies by Magnolia here. Saying is by Studio G.

As always there is a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins also this saturday - and since it's the last saturday of january our first challenge 2012 is starting. We did no changes so you get a sketch to follow and an optional extra which is hearts - and this is the sketch:

 Ich habe für meine Karte die Pie Tilda verwendet, dazu die Thought Bubbles kombiniert und in der Sprechblase habe ich den Cool Edwin als Mini gestempelt. Schon habe ich eine kleine Szene - und Herzen passen hier dann natürlich auch prima dazu. In meinem Fall dann nicht nur auf dem Papier von Magnolia, sondern auch in Form des Heart Tag's...

I used Pie Tilda on my card, put a thought bubble beside her and stampe Cool Edwin as a mini in it. And ready is a little scene. And hearts fit to it great. My hearts are not only on the paper by Magnolie, I also used the heart tag.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Endlich mal wieder eine Karte von mir... Ja, der Weihnachtsstress hat mich voll im Griff und ich beantrage Fristverlängerung! Zum Ausgleich und weil eine Freundin mich um "eine Geburtstagskarte ohne Text aber unbedingt mir Pferd" gebeten hat gibt es heute etwas nicht-weihnachtliches als DT-Beitrag für unsere neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday. "Streifen" lautet unser Thema dort.

Finally there is something new I can show you on this blog.... Well, christmas time is keeping me busy and could someone plese tell me how to extend the time till christmas? To think of something different and because a friend of mine asked me to make "a birthday card without birthday wording but - very important - with a horse" I made something non-christmassy as my DT card for the new challenge at Cute Card Thursday. "Stripes" is the theme we have picked for you.

Ich habe hier die Tilda mit Holster zusammen mit dem Pferd verwendet und diese kleine Szene gearbeitet, die dann doch recht groß ausgefallen ist. Darum habe ich die Deko etwas geringer gehalten. Für das "Pferdestall-Gefühl" habe ich Bast zum Befestigen des Charms und, zum Büschel gebunden, als Center für die Blume benutzt.

I used this Tilda and the horse to create a little scene that turned out bigger than expected. So I didn't add too many embellishments. For the "horse stall look" I used raffia to attach the charm and, tied together, as the center of the flower.

 Ein besonders fröhliches Hallo!
Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei  Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Diesmal lautet unser Thema "distressing".

It's time for a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity - and the theme of this week is "distressing".

 Ich habe diesen knuddeligen Elf von Mo Manning ausgedruckt - ich glaube, so viel Spaß hätte ich als Elf auch! Und ich weiß auch schon genau, wer diese Karte bekommt... ;O)
Die Kugel ist dick mit Glitzer überzogen, die Fellränder an der Kleidung mit Samtpulver. Und die Schnur der Kugel habe ich nachgestickt und mit einer dicken Schleife versehen.

I printed this cute Mo Manning digi elf - I guess I'd have as much fun if I was an elf! And I also know exactly who will get this card because it's perfect for her.... ;O)
The ornament is covered with a thick layer of glitter, the fur on his dress and hat are covered with velvet flock. I used some linnen thread to stitch and a big bow to hang up the ornament on the edge of the card.
