A new week - a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. And our new theme is "summer".

Ich durfte mir beim letzten Stempeltreffen einen Abdruck dieses süßen Stempels von Lili of the Valley machen - und der ist einfach perfekt für das Sommerthema. Ich habe die beiden Süßen ins hohe grüne Gras gesetzt und oben zwei kleine ausgestanzte Wolken schweben lassen. Der Text ist von Whiff Of Joy.

At our last meeting of stampers I stamped this cute couple by Lili of the Valley - and it's perfect for the summer theme. I sat those two cuties in the green grass and added two punched out clouds. Saying is by Whiff Of Joy.

It's time for a new challenge over at Whiff Of Joy - and this week we ask you to make a stair step card.

Ich habe hier ein weiteres Maya-Motiv verwendet: Maya beobachtet einen Marienkäfer. Sie ist geradezu perfekt für eine Sommerszene. Und auch der Stempel im Hintergrund ist von Whiff Of Joy, er war mal einem der Geheimen Stempelkist enthalten.

I used another one of the new Simply Maya image: Maya beobachtet einen Marienkäfer. She's just perfect for a summer-ish scene. And also the background stamp is by Whiff Of Joy, it came with one of the previous secret stamp kits.

Auch diese Woche gibt es eine neue Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under. Unser Thema diesmal lautet "old treasures" - alte Schätze. Verwendet bzw. wiederverwendet also irgend etwas altes oder einen Teil davon. Bei mir sind es die Buchstabenwürfel, die von einem alten Armband meiner Mädels sind.

Also this week we at Magnolia Down Under have a new challenge up for you. Our new theme is "old treasures" so use or re-use something old or a part of it. In my case these are the letter cubes that come from a bracelett my girls once got.

Ansonsten habe ich auf der Karte einen Schnuller-Charm und ein älteres Metall-Teil mit Babyaufdruck verwendet. Die Zahlen und natürlich das Motiv sind natürlich von Magnolia.

Es ist Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Und diesmal sollt Ihr bitte eine Geburtstagskarte werkeln.

It's time for a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity and this week we ask you to make a birthday card.

Meine Große wird am Donnerstag 17 - da paßt das Thema ja perfekt. Naja, und mit 17 ist pink ja nicht mehr unbedingt die Lieblingsfarbe. Darum habe ich mich für Türkis und Gelb entschieden und dazu die süße Tilda mit Geschenk verwendet. Quer über die Karte habe ich ein Stück Spitze gelegt und darüber einen Streifen gerkäuselten Stoff.

My oldest will turn 17 on thursday - so this theme is perfect for me this week. Well, if you turn 17 pink might not be your favourite color anymore. So I went with turquoise and yellow and used this cute Tilda with little gift. I put some lace across the card and put a strip of fabric that I crinkled over it.

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Es ist wieder Freitag und am Wochenende ist schon der erste Advent! Plätzchen sind gebacken, das Haus ist dekoriert - nur der Schnee läßt noch auf sich warten. Darum lade ich heute mal die Winterfee zu mir ein - auf meiner Karte, die ich für den Simply Sassy Inspiration Post gemacht habe.

It's friday again and it will be the 1st sunday of advent this weekend. Cookies are made, the decoration is out - only some snow is missing. So I am inviting the snow fairy today - on the card I made for today's inspiration post over at the Simply Sassy blog.

Auch bei Pink {Ink} Sketches gibt es eine neue Challenge heute - und natürlich einen neuen Sketch. Der sieht diesmal folgendermaßen aus:

Also at Pink {Ink} Challenges we are starting a new challenge today - and of course we have a new sketch for you. This is what it looks like:

Der Bruder meines Ex-Mannes, also mein Ex-Schwager, hat letztes Wochenende geheiratet und da meine Tochter aus 1. Ehe eingeladen war, bat sie mich, eine Hochzeitskarte für das Brautpaar zu machen. Naja, und Lili of the Valley ist da schon fast obligatorisch! Ich liebe dieses Paar, wie es so eifrig in eine gemeinsame Zukunft marschiert... Da meiner Tochter einer andere Karte, die ich übrig hatte, zu "einfach" - hallo!?!?!? - war, habe ich eben mal wieder mehr Lagen verarbeitet, bin farblich aber beim klassischen schwarz-weiß-rot geblieben.

Und weil heute bestimmt viele Paare geheiratet haben, paßt die Karte sogar zum Tag!

My ex-husband's brother - so it's my ex-brother-in-law, right? - got married last weekend and since my oldest (she's from my 1st husband) was invited she asked me to make a card for the couple. Well, Lili of the Valley is my first pick here always. I love this cute couple that is taking their first steps into a future together... Since my daughter told me that the one wedding card I had left was "too simple" - hello?!?!?! - I made another one using different layers and things. But colorwise I went with the classical red-black-white.

And since there were for sure many couples marrying today the card even fits the day!

Happy friday to all of you! Another friday has come and so it's my turn to do a post at the Simply Sassy Inspiration Blog. This week I picked Tiffany - and matching the card I also made a charm/dangler:

Mein Mädels haben auf dem Mekka solche Schrumpfies gemacht, die dann mit einem unter UV-Licht aushärtenden Epoxy-Gel überzogen wurden. Naja, Ihr kennt mich, das Gel mußte her. Und es mußte gleich ausprobiert werden. Es ist auf jeden Fall haltbarer und kratzfester als Glossy Accents!

My girls made some charms from shrink foil while we were at Stempelmekka and those got covered with a special gel that hardens under UV light. Well, you know me, I had to have it. And I had to try it. It's super strong and glossy and way more scratch resistent than Glossy Accents!

Ich habe diesen süßen Stempel von Lili of the Valley verwendet und damit eine Weihnachtskarte gemacht. Farblich nicht unbedingt in den typischen Weihnachtsfarben, aber ich finde sie so schön ruhig und friedlich... Dazu paßt dann der Text von Whiff of Joy.

I used this cute stamp by Lili of the Valley and made a christmas card. The colors aren't very typical for a christmas card but the whole szene looks so quiet and peaceful... The saying by Whiff of Joy was perfect to go with it.

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Hier bin ich wieder, zurück aus einem wunderbaren Italien-Urlaub voller Sonne und Wärme. Und auch wenn sich hier noch die Wäscheberge stapeln, der Garten eine Wildnis ist und das Haus auch nicht gerade sauber aussieht - die Zeit für eine Karte habe ich mir genommen. Denn wie immer startet montags eine neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Diesmal mit diesem Sketch:

Hello friends! Here I am back from a wonderful trip to Italy, full of sun and warm temperatures. Well, the laundry is piling up here, the garden is looking like pure wilderness and even the house needs some cleaning - but I took the time to make a card. Because as usually also this monday a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity is starting. And we have this sketch for you this time:


Den tollen Text von Whimsy Stamps hatte ich noch vor dem Urlaub bestellt und das Kuvert lag brav im Briefestapel, der sich während unserer Abwesenheit angesammelt hatte. Und das süße Motiv von Whiff Of Joy war natürlich perfekt dazu... Die erste Karte nach dem Urlaub fällt mir meist am schwersten - aber diesmal bin ich ganz zufrieden. Und sogar zwei Challenges habe ich mit eingebaut:

This great text by Whimsy Stamps is something I ordered before we left and the letter was waiting in that big pile that came together while we were away. And the cute image by Whiff Of Joy was my first choice to use this with... The first card after a break is always the hardest to me - but this time I am pretty happy with it. I even made it to make it fit two challenges:

Wunderschönen Montag Ihr Lieben! Endlich sind auch bei uns Sommerferien - aber das Wetter läßt nach wie vor zu wünschen übrig. Aber zumindest fällt einem so das Basteln einer Weihnachtskarte wirklich nicht schwer! Und die ist das Thema unserer neuen Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity.

Happy monday! Finally also here summer vacation started - but the weather is still not summer-ish. That at least made it way easier to make a christmas card. And that's what we at Stamps&Fun=Creativity are asking you to do for our new challenge.

Ich habe eines der neuen Motive von Lili of the Valley verwendet. Und passend zum Motiv habe ich den Ast mit Magnolia's Magnolia Tree geschnitten, daran eine Socke (Martha Stewart Punch) gehängt und ihn schön mit Schnee überzogen.

I used one of the new images by Lili of the Valley. Matching the image I used the Magnolia Tree by Magnolia, put a christmas stocking (Martha Stewart Punch) on it and covered it with a layer of snow.

Hallo und schönen Freitag! Bevor ich hier weiterschreibe muß ich mich erstmal für die schlechten Fotos entschuldigen. Meine Kamera spinnt und ich habe gestern nicht ein einziges gutes Foto zustande gebracht. Es sind also nicht Eure Augen... ;o)

Hello and happy friday friends!Before I tell you a bit about my project I have to apologize for the bad pictures. My camera was playing up with me and I wasn´t able to get one single good picture. So, it´s not your eyes - it´s my bad pictures!

Es ist wieder Zeit für ein bißchen Inspiration auf dem Simply Sassy Blog und diesmal steht sie ganz im Zeichen von Weihnachten. Ich weiß, es ist noch viel Zeit bis dahin, aber sagen wir das nicht jedes Jahr nur um kurz danach festzustellen, daß Weihnachten bereits vor der Tür steht? Also, lieber mal früh anfangen...

It´s time for my weekly inspiration post over at the Simply Sassy Blog. Okay, I know, there´s still plenty of time till christmas. But don´t we say this each and every year - only to be surprised a bit later that christmas is just around the corner? So, the earlier we start the better, right?

Ich habe eine kleine Geschenkbox in Form eines Milchkartons gemacht. Und All Wrapped Up war das perfekte Motiv dafür. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob sie die Geschenke gerade ein- oder auspackt - ich denke, ich finde beides toll.

I made a little gift box today. It isn´t filled yet, sorry. ;o)The box has the shape of a milk carton. And of course I had to use All Wrapped Up for this. I am not sure if she is going to wrap or unwrap this gift - I guess I like both ideas.

Weihnachtsgeschenke gehören unter einen Baum. Ich habe eine Marianne D Schablone verwendet, eine Girlande und etwas Glitter zum Verzieren benutzt und natürlich gehört ein großer goldener Stern auf die Spitze.

Christmas gifts belong under a tree so I cut one using a Marianne D die, added a little garland and some glitter. And there is that big golden star that just has to sit on the top.

Ich habe ein Loch durch alle Lagen oben gemacht, Schnur komplett um die Box gewickelt und sie dann durch das Loch gezogen. So bleibt die Box geschlossen ohne daß sie verklebt werden muß. Auf die Schleife habe ich dann noch das kleine Glöckchen gebunden. Und als Dekoration kamen ein kleiner goldener Weihnachtsstern und etwas Text dazu.

I made a hole through all the layers on top, put the thread all around the box and through the hole on top. This holds the box closed without having to use glue. I also added a little golden bell here. And as some decoration I added a golden poinsettia flower and some christmas greetings.

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Auch diesen Freitag darf ich einen Inspiration Post auf dem Simply Sassy Blog posten - diesmal rassig in rot und weiß und schwarz. 5th Avenue heißt dieser Stempel... Was immer diese Schönheit diesen Abend noch vorhat - es könnte eine lange Nacht werden. Ich hatte überlegt, das Kleid mit rotem Glitter zu überziehen, es dann aber doch gelassen. Statt dessen habe ich eine große schwarze Blume gemacht und dazu das schwarz-weiße Leopardenpapier kombiniert. Etwas schwarze Distress Ink an die Ränder und außerdem habe ich mit einem Schriftstempel von Stampin`Up das rote Hintergrundpapier zusätzlich etwas auf alt getrimmt.

Hello dear friends! Also this friday I am happy to make an inspiration post over at the Simply Sassy Blog - and this one turned out quite vamp-ish in red and white and black. 5th Avenue is the name of this stamp... Well, whatever it is she´s planning for tonight - it might be a long one! I was thinking about putting red glitter all over her dress to make it look even more spectacular but decided against it. Instead I made a big black flower and also used some of the black and white leo print paper. A little bit of black Distress Ink and some black stamping with a text stamp by Stampin´Up on the red paper adds a little extra touch.

Cute Card Thursday - embellish it

Alles Liebe zum Vatertag an alle Männer da draußen - für den Fall, daß sich einer hierher "verirren" sollte. Naja, und die heutige Karte ist jetzt ja auch nicht sonderlich männertauglich. ;o) Auch heute gibt es wie immer eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday - und diesmal lautet das Thema "embellish it". Es soll das Motiv verziert werden.

Happy father´s day to all those men out there - just in case any should come by here. And today´s card is not looking too man-ish either... ;o) Also today there is a new challenge starting over at Cute Card Thursday - and our theme is "embellish it". So put some embellishing on your image.

Ich habe Tilda in Summer Rain verwendet - auf den Zöpfen habe ich kleine Schleifchen angebracht, die Gummistiefel haben kleine Herz-Applikationen bekommen und auf dem Regenschirm habe ich etwas gepaper-pieced. Die Pfütze zu Tilda´s Füßen hat außerdem noch eine Schicht Stickles und darüber eine dicke Lage Glossy Accents bekommen...

I used Tilda in Summer Rain - and added two tiny bows to her hair, two hearts to her boots and paper pieced the umbrella. The puddle she is standing in is first covered with some Stickles, than I added a thick layer of Glossy Accents....

Passend zum weiß-blau des Motives habe ich dann auch die Papiere ausgesucht und ein wenig distressed. Der Briefmarken-Text ist von Whimsy Stamps, der kleine Spruch darunter ein Teil eines Stampin´Up Stempels. Ergänzt habe ich das ganze dann mit einem Knopf, einer Schleife, ein paar Perlen und Glitzersteinchen und ein paar Blumen.

I picked the papers matching the blue and white color scheme on the image and distressed them a bit. The stamp text is by Whimsy Stamps, the little sentiment underneath is a part of a stamp by Stampin´Up. To finish the card I added a button, a bow, a few pearls and gems and those flowers.
