Cute Card Thursday - distressing

Guten Morgen, Ihr Lieben!
Ein neuer Donnerstag - eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday. Diesmal lautet unser Thema "distressing".

Happy hello everyone!
A new thursday - a new challenge over at Cute Card Thursday. And our new theme is "distressing".

 Eine ehemalige Klassenkameradin meiner Großen wird in Kürze 18 - und bekommt von Ihren Eltern und Großeltern ein Auto geschenkt. Ihre Mutter hat mich darum gebeten, eine Geburtstagskarte zu machen. "Irgendwas mit Auto"... Ich habe daraufhin Edwins Summer Car von Magnolia coloriert und diese Karte gewerkelt.
Ich habe hier gleich mehrere Distressing-Arten kombiniert: Crackle Paint, ein paar Papiere wurden mit Sandpapier bearbeitet und einige anderen an den Rändern aufgerauht.
Der Text ist mit dem PC geschrieben.

A former classmate of my oldest is turning 18 in a few days. This is the age when you are allowed to drive a car on your own. This girl is getting a car from her parents and grandparents and so her mom asked me to make a matching birthday card for her. "Just anything with a car".... So I colored Edwins Summer Car by Magnolia and made this card.
I used different kinds of distressing on this one: Crackle Paint, sandpaper and an edge distresser tool.
The saying is computer generated and means "congratulations ...and save driving".

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 30. Juni 2012

Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Es ist schon wieder Zeit für eine neue Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins. Und unsere regelmäßigen Leser wissen: das letzte Wochenende im Monat gibt es eine neue Challenge. Und natürlich auch einen neuen Sketch, der diesmal so aussieht:

Hello dear ones!
It's time for a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins. And those of you that follow us on a regular base know that the last weekend of the months it's challenge time. Of course with a new sketch which looks like this:

Eine Klassenkameradin meiner ältesten hat mich gebeten, eine Karte zur silbernen Hochzeit ihrer Eltern zu machen. Hm, ein klassisches Hochzeitsmotiv paßt da ja dann nicht - da fielen mir die "Rentner-Stempel" von Mo Manning ein. Mumu und ihr Mann waren mit zu alt (schließlich sind die Eltern irgendwo um die 50 und in etwas über einem Jahrzehnt bin ich auch soweit!), aber diese Pärchen finde ich prima. Angegraut, aber noch nicht wirklich alt. Klar, dass Rosen und Herzen nicht fehlen durften und auch farblich bin ich mit rot und weiß klassisch geblieben. Und die Auftraggeberin fand die Karte toll.

A classmate of my oldest asked me to make a card for her parents'  25th wedding aniversary. Hm, one of the classic wedding images with bride and groom didn't fit - and then the senior stamps by Mo Manning came to my mind. Mumu and her husband seemed to be a tad too old (well, her parents must be somewhat around 50 years old and in a bit more than 10 years I will be there as well), but I really think this couple is perfect. Grey haired already but not really old. Of course I had to add some hearts and roses and also with the colors I went with a classical red and white. My oldest's friend loved the card.

Dieses Grinsen und die Sommersprossen... einfach zu süß!

Ich habe das Motiv mit Copics coloriert und die Flügel ordentlich mit Stickles überzogen. Und zu den süßen Sommersprossen mußten die Haare einfach rot werden!

That smile and those freckles... just too cute!

I colored the image with Copics and put Stickles on her wings. And with those freckles her hair just had to be red!

Da ich beim Colorieren für mich farblich ganz andere Wege als sonst gegangen bin, tat ich mich erst etwas schwer mit den Farben für die Karte. Aber dann habe ich mich entschieden, das grün und blau aus dem Motiv aufzugreifen und somit ist eine Karte entstanden, die mich an grünes Sommergras und den blauen Sommerhimmel erinnert. Perfekt für das süße Motiv. 

Since I used quite some different colors for my coloring than I usually do I wasn't sure which colors to use for my papers. But then I decided to go with green and blue and so I ended up with a card reminding me of green summer grass and the blue summer sky. And that's just perfect for this cute image.

Pipi Longsocks

Auch wenn wir gerade in Italien am Strand liegen - es soll doch wie gewohnt am Dienstag eine Sugar Nellie Karte geben.

Even if we are in Italy at the moment - of course I want to share a Sugar Nellie card with you on tuesday.

Für diese Karte habe ich Pipi Longsocks verwendet - und nicht nur der Name, auch das Aussehen erinnert an Pipi Langstrumpf.
Da mußten dann kräftige und fröhliche Farben her!

Unter dem Motiv versteckt sich ein Erdbeer-Tag, auf den ich mit weißem Embossingpulver "hello" geschrieben habe.

Also this week starts with a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. And this week our theme is "anything goes".

Ich habe bei Nadell das Magnolia-Tag in groß gesehen und fand die Idee so klasse, dass ich das auch gleich probieren wollte. Und ich habe mir eine Vatertagskarte dazu ausgesucht. Der süße Stempel ist von Lili of the Valley und liegt schon seitdem er rauskam unbenutzt herum. Und die kleinen Werkzeug-Dies passen doch super dazu. Oben am Tag ist noch ein Love-Charm angebracht.

I saw Nadell's big heart shaped tag and had to try one myself. And I decided to make a father's day card. The cute image is by Lili of the Valley and is lying around without being inked up since the day I bought it... Those tools dies are perfect with this image. At the top of the tag I added a round charm that has a heart on one side and the word love on the other.

Ich habe hier den "Lesender Cherubim" verwendet, außerdem die Taube aus dem Stanzenset Zeichen des Glaubens und zwei der Texte aus dem Set Banner Texte. Ich finde die Sprüche in diesem Text prima und auf der Karte wollte ich es so aussehen lassen, als ob der Schutzengel auf der  Suche nach aufmunternden Sprüchen ist. 

Farblich habe ich mich an schwarz-weiß gehalten, auch wenn es keine Trauerkarte ist.

I used "Reading Cherub" here together with the dove from the die set "Religious Charms" and two of the sayings from the german text set Banner Texte. I love these sayings and on the card I wanted it to look like the angel is on the look for some cheering up text.
Even if this isn't a sympathy card I went with black and white as my colors.

Naja, auch wenn die Sonne hier momentan nicht so richtig scheinen will - Frühling liegt ganz eindeutig in der Luft. Und darum gibt es heute von mir eine Frühlingskarte zu sehen.

Well, even if the sun isn't shining here at the moment you can feel it: spring is in the air. And so I have a spring card to share with you today.

Ich habe dafür Hippie Chick verwendet - einer der allerersten Simply Sassy Stempel, die ich mir gekauft habe und immer noch eines meiner Lieblingsmotive. Farblich bin ich diesmal im blau-grün Bereich geblieben und passend zu den leicht rötlichen Haaren habe ich der Süßen mit einem Copic Fine Liner 0.5 in Sepia kleine Sommersprossen verpaßt.

I used Hippie Chick here - one of the first Simply Sassy Stamps I ever bought and still one of my favourites. I used blue-greens for my coloring and matching the slightly red hair coloring I used a Sepia Copic Fine Liner 0,5 to add little spreckles to this cutie's face.

Snow Fight heißt der Stempel, für den ich mich entschieden habe. Und für den frostigen Look habe ich natürlich viel weiß und eisblau verwendet. Und eine hellblaue Feder hat sich auch mit auf die Karte geschlichen.

Es ist wieder Donnerstag und somit startet eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday. Das Thema für diese Woche lautet "Fireworks".

Hello dear ones!

It's thursday again and so there is a new challenge starting at Cute Card Thursday. The theme for this week is "fireworks".

Mit fiel da sofort die Tilda Sparkles ein - mit den Sternwerfern in der Hand paßt sie doch perfekt zum Thema. Und dann kam mir die Idee, statt einer Karte eine Verpackung für Sternwerfer zu basteln. Ich habe also eine Packung dieser Dinger im Supermarkt gekauft und hatte sogar so viel Glück statt der normalen Tütchen einen kleinen Karton damit zu bekommen. Den habe ich dann mit Designpapier umwickelt und verziert. Und der Text von Whiff Of Joy machte das ganze dann perfekt.

The first image that came to my mind for this theme was Tilda Sparkles from the new christmas range by Magnolia - with those sparklers in her hands she's just perfect here. And then I got the idea of making a sparkler box instead a card. I went and bought some sparklers and even were lucky enough to get them in a box already. So I wrapped this with designer's paper and decorated it. And the saying by Whiff Of Joy was the perfect final touch.

Ich habe für mein Projekt gleich zwei unserer allerersten Anleitungen kombiniert: die Sargkarte und das Haunted House. Schließlich ist heute Halloween und da sollte das Projekt zumindest ein wenig gruselig sein! Die Vorderseite habe ich in verschiedenen Lagen gestaltet und neben dem Haunted House noch den Magnolia Tree, eine Reihe Grabsteine von Spellbinders, einen Zaun und eine Fledermaus.  Für das Holzmuster auf dem Sarg habe ich einen Stempel von Stampin' Up verwendet.

For my project I used two of our very first tutorials: the coffin card and the Haunted House. It's Halloween today and so I wanted my project to be at least a bit spooky! I put several layers on the front of the card and beside the Haunted House I put the Magnolia Tree, a row of gravestones by Spellbinders, a fence and a bat on it. The wooden look on the coffin is made using a stamp by Stampin' Up.

 Mit Mini-Tilda, Spinnennetz, Spinne, Spritzern, Text und etwas Cheesecloth.

It's a Mini-Tilda, a spider web, a spider, some spots, a saying and some cheesecloth.

Pink Ink Sketches meets Stempeleinmaleins

Wunderschönen Samstag Ihr Lieben! Es ist wieder Zeit für das Stempeleinmaleins -und diesmal trifft es auf Pink Ink, zumindest hier auf meinem Blog. Die Schule hat ja diese Woche begonnen und es gab so viel zu organisieren und einzukaufen... Darum habe ich mich, als ich meine Karte für Pink Ink machen wollte, an die tolle Buchbox-Anleitung von Tina erinnert, die wir heute auf dem Stempeleinmaleins zeigen. Und darum habe ich den Sketch von Pink Ink mit der Buchbox kombiniert.

Happy saturday to all of you! It's time for another issue of Stempeleinmaleins - and this week it's meeting the Pink Ink Challenge, at least here on my blog. Since school started this week there was so much to shop and organize that time was very limited. When I started making my card I rememberd the great book box by Tina that we are having a tutorial for at Stempeleinmaleins today. And so I used the Pink Ink Sketch on the cover of my box:


Der Stempel ist einer der neuen Weihnachtsstempel von Magnolia, die ich auf dem Mekka ergattern konnte (nochmal lieben Dank an Tanja!!!!). Ich wollte, daß es aussieht wie ein altes Lederbuch, darum habe ich braunes Papier zerknüllt und mit Distress Ink eingefärbt. Statt der Schleife als Veschluss habe ich einen Magneten zwischen die Papiere geklebt, so daß das Buch geschlossen bleibt. Ich habe ein paar Perlen und die Poinsettia von Magnolia verwendet, etwas Spitze und ein kleines Glöckchen. Der Text ist von Stampin'Up.

The image is one of the new christmas stamps by Magnolia that I was able to get at the Stempelmekka (a huge thanks again to you, Tanja!!!!). I wanted my book to look like an old leather one and so I crumbled some brown paper and inked it with some Distress Ink. Instead of the bow to close the book I put some magnets between the papers and now it stays closed. I added a few pearls and the poinsettia by Magnolia, some lace and a littel bell. Saying is by Stampin'Up.
