Schönen Dienstag Euch allen!
Heute gibt es, wie jeden Dienstag, eine Sugar Nellie Karte für Euch. Und weil endlich der Sommer herausgekommen ist, ist sie besonders sommerlich ausgefallen.

Today as every tuesday I am sharing a Sugar Nellie Card with you. And since summer seems to finally have arrived it is a summer-ish one.

Butterflies and Pigtails ist der Name des Stempels. Und ich finde ihn perfekt passend zu einem Sommertag, an dem die Schmetterlinge durch den Garten fliegen.
Farblich bin ich eher bei gedeckten Tönen geblieben, als die knallig-bunten Sommerfarben auszupacken. Aber ich finde, das macht gar nichts.
Um eine Verbindung zwischen Motiv und Karte zu erreichen, habe ich die Schmetterlinge aus dem Motiv aufgegriffen und sie in gestanzter Form auf der Karte wiederholt. Genauer gesagt ist dort nur ein Schmetterling zu finden, dieser dafür aber besonders schön. Ich habe ihn einmal aus blauem Cardstock gestanzt, den ich dann mit Stickles überzogen habe, und anschließend noch einmal aus weißem Vellum, auf das ich in gelb einen Schmetterling gestempelt habe.

Butteflies and Pigtails is the name of this stamp. And I think it's showing the perfect summer day, on which those butterflies are fluttering around.
Colorwise I went with some muted tones instead of those bright summer colors. But I don't think that isn't summer-ish enough.
To get a connection between the image and the card I repeated the butterflies on the image as an embellishment on my card. Therefor I punched a butterfly from blue cardstock that I covered with Stickles afterwards, and also punched another one from white vellum on which I stamped a butterfly with yellow ink before.
The saying is by Whiff Of Joy.

Ich habe hier den Apfel im Motiv aufgegriffen und ihn sozusagen zum roten Faden der Karte gemacht - die Apfelform im Hintergrund, das Apfelpapier, der Apfelcharm....

I picked up the apple as my guiding line through the whole card - the apple shape on the card, the designer's paper and the charm...

Das Motiv habe ich auf kraftfarbenem Cardstock gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Wenn Ihr wissen möchtet, wie genau, dann schaut doch auf dem Copic Marker Europe Blog vorbei. Dort zeige ich Euch in einem Tutorial Schritt für Schritt wie's geht.

I stamped the image on kraft cardstock and colored it with Copics. If you want to know how to do color on kraft cardstock please hop over to the Copic Marker Europe Blog where I have a step by step tutorial up for you.

Für die Innenseite habe ich das "Negativ" meines großen Apfels als Basis genommen und mit kraftfarbenem Cardstock, den ich mit Schreiblinien bestempelt habe, unterlegt. Der Text ist von Stampin'Up.

For the inside of the card I used the leftover piece of cardstock that was left from cutting the apple for the front and put some kraft cardstock underneath that I stamped school lines on. The saying is by Stampin'Up.

Die "Wiederholungstäter" unter Euch wissen, dass ich Euch heute wieder ein Werk mit einem Sugar Nellie Stempel zeige. Und ich habe mal wieder zu einem der Simply Sassy Stempel gegriffen...

Those of you that come to my blog regularly know that I am sharing a new Sugar Nellie creation today. And once again I picked a Simply Sassy image...

Die mit Brille sind mir irgendwie am liebsten - so auch "I Love To Read". Er ist so wunderbar vielseitig einsetzbar - zum ersten Schultag, auf Schultüten oder auch als Lesezeichen, so wie bei mir hier heute.
Sommersprossen und rote Haare, so stelle ich sie mir vor. Und so habe ich sie dann auch coloriert.
Der Tag ist mit einem Buchstabenmix von Stampin'Up bestempelt und mit kleinen Farbspritzern verziert. Auch die Papiere im Vordergrund sind mit Buchstaben/Texten bedruckt. Ein Buch-Charm und das Wort "read" runden das ganze dann ab. Die Enden des Bandes sind so lang, dass sie unten aus dem Buch herausschauen - aber dann wäre das Lesezeichen auf dem Foto so klein gewesen, dass Ihr nichts mehr hättet erkennen können... ;)

I love those with glasses the most - and I Love To Read is one of those. It can be used in so many ways - for a first day of school card, a school cone or on a bookmark, like I did here.
Some how I think of freckles and red hair when I look at this cutie, and this is what I colored her today.
On the tag there have been stamped on letter by Stampin' Up. Also the other papers have letters/text printed on them. A book charm and the word "read" are the perfect finish for this.
The ribbon is long enough to show up at the bottom of the book - but if I would have shown that on a photo the bookmark would have been so small on the picture that you wouldn't have been able to see any details... ;)

It's Simply Sassy week at the Sugar Nellie Blog. So we from the DT are showing a new Simply Sassy creation each day.

Bereits letzten Sonntag habe ich Euch ja bereits ein Banner gezeigt. Und als ich mich nun entschieden hatte, für meinen Post Bella Bunting zu verwenden, konnte ich nicht widerstehen, noch ein Banner zu machen. Hier ist eine Nahaufnahme des mittleren Teils:

I've shown you a banner already on sunday. But when I decided to use Bella Bunting for my post I just couldn't resist but make another one. Here's a close up of the middle part:

Wie ich die großen Augen liebe! 

Farblich habe ich dunkelrot und rosa kombiniert. Ich habe nur ein kleines Stück Designerpapier für den Halbkreis verwendet, die Herzen auf dem rosa Cardstock sind aufgestempelt. So passt das Papier prima zur Schleife in Bella's Haar. 

Die kleinen Banner links und rechts sind mit einem Kreis aus Cardstock und einem Herz aus Designpapier plus einem kleinen Glitzerstein verziert.

Zum Schluss habe ich dann noch diesen wunderbar passenden Stoff von Stampin'Up gefunden. Wie für mein Projekt gemacht!

How I love her big eyes!

I went with dark red and pink as the colors for my banner. I only used a little bit of designer's paper for the half circle, the tiny hearts on the pink cardstock have been stamped on. Now the paper is wonderfully matching the bow in Bella's hair.

The little banner parts to the left and right have been decorated with a circle from cardstock, a heart from designer's paper and a little rhinestone.

At the end I found this perfectly matching fabric from Stampin'Up. Looks like made especially for my project!

Und weil wir gerade bei Copics sind: 

Copic feiert dieses Jahr 25. Geburtstag. Und darum wird es ein streng limitiertes Set aus 36 Sketch Markern geben, das es in dieser Zusammenstellung und Ausführung nur in diesem Jubiläumsset geben wird. Die Sketch Marker haben einen schwarzen "Body" und kommen mit einer Pinsel- und einer feinen Spitze. 

Vorbestellungen können ab sofort aufgegeben werden, ausgeliefert wird es dann im Oktober.

Apropos Copics:

Copic is celebrating it's 25th anniversary this year. And to celebrate that there will be a limited set from 36 Sketch markers. This color combination and special look of these markers will only be available in this set. The anniversary markers have a black body and come with a brush and a fine nib.

Pre-orders can be made from now on, delivery will be in october.

A coffee mug sleeve

Heute gibt es wieder einen Sugar Nellie Post von mir - und ich habe diesmal einen "Coffee Mug Sleeve" gemacht. Gibt es dafür ein deutsches Wort? Kaffebecherüberzug? Wie auch immer, dekorativ und praktisch ist er.

It's time for a new Sugar Nellie post by me - and this week I made a coffee mug sleeve to show you. It's nice and handy.

Als Motiv habe ich wieder eines der Simply Sassy Girls verwendet: Luv A Latte. Sie ist perfekt für so einen Überzug. Der Überzug an sich ist aus Wellkarton gemacht und mit einem Spellbinder's Label dekoriert.

As image I went with Luv A Latte from the Simply Sassy range. She's perfect for such a sleeve. The sleeve itself is made from cardstock and decorated with a Spellbinder's label.

Zwischen Karton und Spellbinder's habe ich ein Stück weißes Organzaband mit eingearbeitet.

Between the cardstock and the label I added a piece of white organza ribbon.

Auf der linken Seite habe ich das Band zu einer Schleife gebunden und mit einem Löffel-Charm verziert.

On the left of the image I made a bow from the organza and added a spoon charm.

Der Sleeve kann natürlich abgenommen und wiederverwendet werden.

Of course the sleeve can be removed and used again.

Naja, auch wenn die Sonne hier momentan nicht so richtig scheinen will - Frühling liegt ganz eindeutig in der Luft. Und darum gibt es heute von mir eine Frühlingskarte zu sehen.

Well, even if the sun isn't shining here at the moment you can feel it: spring is in the air. And so I have a spring card to share with you today.

Ich habe dafür Hippie Chick verwendet - einer der allerersten Simply Sassy Stempel, die ich mir gekauft habe und immer noch eines meiner Lieblingsmotive. Farblich bin ich diesmal im blau-grün Bereich geblieben und passend zu den leicht rötlichen Haaren habe ich der Süßen mit einem Copic Fine Liner 0.5 in Sepia kleine Sommersprossen verpaßt.

I used Hippie Chick here - one of the first Simply Sassy Stamps I ever bought and still one of my favourites. I used blue-greens for my coloring and matching the slightly red hair coloring I used a Sepia Copic Fine Liner 0,5 to add little spreckles to this cutie's face.

Happy Valentine's day everyone!
Today I have  valentine's card to share that is not made using the typical colors of red, white and pink...

Okay, ganz ehrlich - ich konnte diese Farbkombi einfach nicht mehr sehen. Dafür kam diesmal die Copic-RV-Gruppe zum Einsatz. Ich glaube, ich kann an einer Hand abzählen, wie oft ich die verwendet habe... Dabei macht sie sich echt prima, vor allem in Kombi mit blau (schließlich darf es bei mir ja nicht zu bunt werden).

Okay, to be honest - I was so sick of this color combo... Instead I used my Copics RV colors here. I really only used these a few times so far. But it looks great and I like it to be combined with blues (well, you know me, I don't do bright colors or color combos too often).

Ich habe hier eines der süßen Simply Sassy Motive von Sugar Nellie verwendet: Call Me. Oh, das Motiv ist so wunderbar für Teenie-Karten - nicht nur für Valentin oder liebesbezogen. Ich glaube, jeder erinnert sich an Stunden, die man mit der besten Freundin am Telefon gehangen hat... (am besten werden sich wohl unsere Väter daran erinnern, oder?).
Ich habe hier den Text "ich denke an Dich" - 24 Stunden am Tag, 7 Tage die Woche auf die Karte gebracht. Man in Deutsch hätte das wohl nie auf die Karte gepaßt. LOL

I used one of the cute Simply Sassy images by Sugar Nellie: Call Me. This image is so wonderful for teen's card - not only for valentine's or love related. I guess all of us remember those hours we hang on the phone with our best friends... (most of us our dads will remember, don't they?).
I added the text of "thinking of you - 24/7" to the card.

Heute ist mein letztes Posting auf dem Simply Sassy Blog vor der Weihnachtspause. Und darum habe ich diesmal gleich zwei Projekte zu zeigen.

It's my last posting day over at the Simply Sassy blog before we go on a christmas vacation. So I decided to have two project up today.

Da wäre einmal diese Pocket Card mit Rezeptkarte darin:

Und dann ist da noch dieser Tag, der an einer kleine Tüte mit Schönheitspflegeprodukten hängt - zu übergeben am Tag vor Weihnachten. So sorgt man garantiert für "schöne" Weihnachten! ;)

And then there is this tag that I attached to a little bag containing lotion and other beauty stuff - this is to be handed out a day before christmas to make sure the recipient will have a "beautiful" christmas! ;)

Cinderella

Willkommen an diesem Dezember-Freitag!

Genau, Freitag bedeutet Simply-Sassy-Tag. Nur noch 2 mal allerdings, dann gehen wir in Weihnachtsferien...

Right, friday means Simply Sassy day. But only 2 more times, then we'll have a christmas break...

Für meine Karte heute habe ich Cinderella verwendet. Ein tolles Motiv und durch die vielen Falten im Kleid leicht zu colorieren. 

Ich habe mich für blau, schwarz und weiß entschieden, denn ich wollte etwas elegantes machen. Denn auch wenn das Motiv auf den ersten Blick eher etwas für Kinder zu sein scheint, mit der richtigen Farbe paßt es überall. 

I used Cinderella on this card. A beautiful image and it's so easy to color due to all the pleats in her dress.

I went with a blue, black and white combo since I wanted to make something more elegant. Even if the image seems to be for a child at first look - using the right colors will make this fit for everyone.

Es ist wieder Freitag und am Wochenende ist schon der erste Advent! Plätzchen sind gebacken, das Haus ist dekoriert - nur der Schnee läßt noch auf sich warten. Darum lade ich heute mal die Winterfee zu mir ein - auf meiner Karte, die ich für den Simply Sassy Inspiration Post gemacht habe.

I used the exclusive stamp that was only available during the last weekend and as a special gift when ordering the whole set. I think it was sold out really quick. And I totally love it!

Ich mußte einfach einen weiteren der süßen neuen Simply Sassy Stempel verwenden: Book Club. Und sie schreit geradezu nach kräftigen Farben. Diesmal für mich ganz unüblich in Türkis und Pink... Steht ihr, oder? Ansonsten bin ich irgendwie der Meinung, hier fehlt was. Aber ich kann nicht sagen, was, darum habe ich die Karte so gelassen wie sie ist.

I just had to use another of the cute Simply Sassy images: Book Club. And to me she's screaming for bright colors. This time I picked tuquoise and pink which are totally unusal for me.... Fit her, right? 

Well, I think something's missing on this card but I wasn't able to figure out what it was so I just let it the way it is.

Cinders!

Ich finde diesen Stempel einfach wunderbar - die tollen Zöpfe, das süße Gesicht und die kleine Schürze... Und sie ist so vielseitig einsetzbar! Für diesmal habe ich mich für kräftige Farben entschieden. Ein sattes Blond, leuchtendes Blau und dazu warmes Rot. Ich finde, diese Farben stehen ihr prima. Aber auch in monochrom oder gedeckten Farben macht sie bestimmt eine gute Figur.

I love this stamp. She's such a cutie - the braids, the cute face and that little apron...
And I can see her used in so many different ways! This time I went with some bright colors for her - a warm blonde, bright blue and a warm red. I think these colors suit her wonderfully. But I know she will be awesome in a monochromatic color scheme or muted colors as well.
