Die heutige Anleitung auf dem Stempeleinmaleins ist diese Flap Fold Card.

Today's tutorial over at Stempeleinmaleins is this Flap Fold Card.

Bei Stöbern nach einer Deko-Idee für meine Karte bin ich über die Pizza-Stanze von Magnolia gestolpert - und so steht diese Karte ganz im Zeichen der Pizza.

While going throuh my stash looking for an idea of how to decorate my card I came across this pizza die by Magnolia - and so this card is all about pizza.

Die Klappe auf der Vorderseite lässt sich nach oben klappen - sie wird vom "wishing you a yummy day" Text von  Mama Elephant auf der Vorderseite geschlossen gehalten. Die Pizza am oberen Rand der Karte ist auch im geöffneten Zustand zu sehen.

Ich habe aus meiner Karte eine Einladung zum Pizza-Essen gemacht. Dafür habe ich unter der Klappe ein aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanztes "Einladung", gemacht mit einer Stanze von Kulricke, versteckt. 

Um die Klappe habe ich rot-weiß kariertes Band gewickelt, das zu meinem ebenfalls rot-weiß karierten Designpapier auf der zweiten Lage der Karte, passt. 

Als Deko reichten ein paar schwarze Enamel Accents.

The flap on the front opens up - it get's hold closed from the "wishing you a yummy day" saying by Mama Elephant. The pizza on the top edge can also be seen when the card is opened.

I've turned this card into an invitation for a pizza night. So I've die cut a "invitation" from black cardstock and have hidden it underneath  the flap. 

Around the flap I've wrapped some red and white checked ribbon, that matches the designer's paper I've used for the second layer of my card.

For decorations a few black Enamel Accents were enough.

Die Teile der Pizza sind aus verschieden farbigen Cardstocks gestanzt und mit Distress Ink teilweise ein wenig "gebräunt". 

Auf dem Einladung und den Herzen daneben habe ich mit einem weißen Gelmarker Highlights gesetzt.

Here you get a better look at the decorations.

The different parts of the pizza are die cut from different colors of cardstock and I've inked up the edges of some of the parts with Distress Ink to "brown" them a bit.

I've used a white gelly marker to add some highlights to the die cut word and the hearts next to it.

Und so sieht die Karte komplett geöffnet aus.

Auf die kleinere Fläche unter der Kreis-Ausstanzung habe ich einen Einladungstext von Magnolia aufgestempelt.

Onto the smaller area underneath the die cut circle I've stamped an invitation text by Magnolia.

Und weil mir die Karte innen doch zu weiß war und ich unbedingt noch ein Motiv aufbringen wollte, habe ich hier noch das süße Pizza-Mädel von Belles'n'Whistles aufgestempelt. Ich liebe sie, benutze sie aber so selten. Hier passte sie perfekt zum Thema. Sie ist mit Copics coloriert, ausgeschnitten und auf die Karte geklebt. Darunter habe ich noch ein schwarz gemattetes Banner mit einem weiteren Text von Mama Elephant - beide übrigens aus dem Baked with Love Stempelset - geschoben.

And since the inside of the card looked too white and I really wanted to include an image I've used the cute pizza baker by Belles'n'Whistles here. I love this image but barely use it. Here she went perfect with the theme. She was colored with Copics, cut out and glued onto the card. Under her leg I've tucked a black matted banner onto which I've stamped another saying by Mama Elephant - both sayings from the Baked with Love stamp set.

November-Challenge bei AltairArt

Heute starte die neue Challenge bei AltairArt, diesmal mit dem Thema "metal embellishment or pendant". 

Hello everyone!

Today we are starting our new challenge over at AltairArt and our new theme is "metal embellishment or pendant".

Ich habe eine weitere Weihnachtskarte zu zeigen - gemacht nur mit Papieren aus der neuen Festive Bells Kollektion. Es sind typisch weihnachtliche Farben - und trotzdem muss die Karte nicht unbedingt klassisch rot-grün werden. Die Farbkombi geht bei mir nämlich gar nicht. Stattdessen habe ich mich für viel Rot mit Beige, braun und weiß entschieden.

I made another christmas card - made using papers from the new Festive Bells collection only. Those papers are made using all the classical christmas colors - and still the card doesn't have to be the typical red and green. That's a color combination I hate to work with! Instead I went with a lot of red combined with beige, brown and white.

Das Papier mit dem Orangendruck finde ich super. Ich hatte sofot den Duft von mit Nelken gespickten Orangen in der Nase. Hier habe ich es als mittlere Lage verwendet, darunter dunkelrot mit leichter Holzoptik und dann noch eines mit weißen Punkten. Etwas braune Wellpappe passte prima dazu und war die perfekte Unterlage für meinen goldenen Glöckchen-Charm.

Die Zahlen - genauso wie der HoHoHo-Text - sind übrigens auch auf eines der Papiere gedruckt. Mein erster Gedanke war "Adventskalender", aber hier habe ich es einfach als Hintergrund verwendet und mein Motiv daneben gesetzt.

The paper with the oranges print is great. I immediately had the smell of oranges and cloves in my nose. Here I used it as the middle layer with a dark red with a slightly wooden print underneath and a dark red one with white dots on top. Some brown corrugated paper also fitted in great and was the perfect base for my golden bells charm.

The numbers - as well as the saying - are also printed on one of the papers. My first thought was "advent calendar" but here I just used it as a background and put my image next to it.

Und hier noch mein Motiv. Eigentlich wollte ich einen Weihnachtsmann verwenden, aber glaubt es oder nicht, bis auf ein paar eher im Comic-Stil gezeichneten oder zwei Stempel mit Kindern o. ä. drumrum habe ich doch tatsächlich alle meine Weihnachtsmänner verkauft! Naja, wie das so ist - sie liegen ewig im Schrank und wenn man sich getrennt hat, dann wären wie genau richtig. Stattdessen habe ich also diesen süßen Jungen von BnW verwendet. Ich wollte ihn passend zu meiner Vintage angehauchten Karte machen und habe ihn daher eher hell und mit wenig Farben coloriert.

Als Deko  habe ich dann noch einen Sternenhintergrund und 3D Sterne aufgeklebt. Ist es peinlich zuzugeben, dass ich erstmal googeln musste, wie man die Dinger zusammensetzt? Ich dachte, die kleinen Klebelaschen sind dazu da, die Strahlen der Sterne zu verbinden - und das ging natürlich nicht. Zum Glück gab es da ein Video - und es fiel mir wie Schuppen von den Augen. Aber wenn man den Denkfehler erstmal drin hat... ;)

And here's the image I used. I had a Santa in mind but, believe me or not, except for a few ones drawn more in a comic style and two stamps with Santa in a scene I really sold all my Santa stamps! Well, that's how it goes - they are unused for ages but once you sell them they'd be the perfect image for your card. So I went with this cute boy by BnW instead. Matching my a little vintage looking card I only colored him in with light and only little colors.

For decorations I went with a star background and two three dimensional stars. It's kind of embarrasing but I have to admit that I had to google how to put those together. I thought those little notches were meant to glue the tips of the star together - and of course that didn't work. Lucky me there was a video on how to put them together - and of course once I saw it it was just logical. But well, if you're on the wrong track it's hard to see the obvious... ;)

August-Challenge bei AltairArt

Na, genießt Ihr die Ferien und den Sommer? Passend dazu haben wir uns für die neue Challenge bei AltairArt für das Thema "Summer Fun" entschieden. Und das war das perfekte Thema, um diesen süßen Stempel von Belles'n'Whistles mal wieder rauszuholen.

So, are you enjoying your summer break and summer itself? To go with this we picked "summer fun" as our theme for the new challene over at AltairArt. And that was the perfect one to dig out this cute stamp by Belles'n'Whistles again.

Ich habe hier Papiere in verschiedenen Blau- und Grüntönen verwendet und mit weißer Mattung aufeinander geschichtet. Eine gestichelte Wolke sowie etwas ausgestanztes Schilf fanden auch Platz. Generell aber ist die Karte eher einfach. Ich denke, das liegt am vielen Weiß auf der linken Hälfte des Motivs. Ich habe versucht, es mit den drei Vögeln etwas zu überstempeln, aber so ganz hat das nicht geklappt.

I used papers in different tones of blues and greens and put them on top of each other adding some white matting. A stitched cloud and a die cut grass also found their places on this card. But in generell it is more simple. I guess that's because of all that white on the left side of the image. I tried to cover at least a part of it with those birds but it didn't really work out.

Das Motiv ist mit Copics coloriert. Irgendwie scheint sich der junge Mann noch nicht sicher zu sein, ob das mit dem Baden eine tolle Idee ist... ;)

The image has been colored in with Copics. And somehow this young man seems a little unsure about his idea of taking a swim... ;)

Challenge #4 bei AltairArt

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute startet wieder eine neue Challenge bei AltairArt. Für diesen Monat haben wir das Thema "Butterflies" ausgewählt. Von AltairArt gibt es zwar auch Designpapiere mit Schmetterlingen, ich habe mich aber für verschiedene rosafarbene Papiere entschieden und das Thema eher bei der Deko, dem Motiv und dem Text umgesetzt.

Today we are starting a new challenge over at AltairArt. For this month we picked the theme of butterflies. There are papers with a butterflies print by AltairArt but I went with different pink papers and followed the theme with my image, decorations and saying.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich mich für ein pink-weiß kariertes Papier aus dem 15 x 15 cm Block Signs of Love entschieden. Das Papier mit dem schön dezenten Rosendruck ist das Body &  Soul Papier #07, darüber kam noch ein Stück des Foggy Dew Papiers Wild Geese. Der Druck sieht fast aus wie Schmetterlinge... Und zum Matten habe ich dann noch einen Bogen aus dem Blue Rose Paperpad verwendet.

For the background I went with a pink and white checked paper from the 15 x 15 Signs of Love paperpad. The paper with the nice and soft roses print is the Body & Soul # 7 sheet, on top of that I've added a piece of the Foggy Dew Wild Geese paper. The print on this one nearly looks like butterflies... And for the matting I used a sheet from the Blue Rose paperpad.

Das Motiv von Elisabeth Bell passte perfekt. Es ist mit Copics coloriert. Neben dem Motiv hat neben ein paar Blumen und ausgestanzten Zweigen noch ein großer Schmetterling Platz gefunden. Der sieht auf dem Foto etwas schmutzig aus. Ich habe ihn mit Kreide leicht eingefärbt und anschließend den klaren Wink of Stella darüber verteilt, so dass er in echt schön glitzert.

The image by Elisabeth Bell goes great with the theme. It's colored in with Copics. Beside the image there was room for not only  a few flowers and die cut branches but also a large butterfly. It looks kind of dirty on the picture. I've inked it in slightly with some chalks and then covered it with the clear Wink of Stella so in real life it has a nice shine.

Rechts habe ich dann noch ein Stück Schmetterling-Bordüre sowie den Text von SU aufgebracht.

On the right side I added a piece of a butterflies border and this saying by SU. It means "luck is like a butterfly. If you try to catch it, it flies away. So sit down and it will come to sit on your shoulder".

Whiff Of Joy # 128

Heute gibt es eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy und wir möchten eine Runde Bingo mit Euch spielen.

Ich habe mich für die untere Reihe entschieden: Blumen, Pins und Spitze.
Und auf meiner Karte darf ich Euch eine Vorschau auf eines der neuen Motive von Whiff Of Joy geben, die es ab 28. April im Shop zu bestellen geben wird. Es ist aus der neuen Sympathy Stamp Collection von Elisabeth Bell und heißt "Geteilter Schmerz". Auch wenn es eine Trauer-Kollektion ist - ich finde das Motiv toll für jede Gelegenheit, zu der man jemanden Aufheitern möchte.
Der passende Text ist von Stampin'Up. Es wird von Whiff Of Joy auch eine Stempelkollektion, in deutsch und auch in englisch, mit passenden Texten geben, die habe ich aber noch nicht bekommen und somit habe ich auf diesen Text zurückgegriffen.

And on my card I am giving you a preview of one of the new images that will be available at the Whiff Of Joy store from april 28th. It's from the new Sympathy Stamp Collection by Elisabeth Bell and is called "Sharing In Your Sorrow". Even if this is a sympathy collection, this image can be used on any card you want to give someone to cheer him up.
The saying I used is by Stampin Up. There will be a stamp set, in german and in english, with sympathy sayings from Whiff Of Joy as well but I didn't get mine yet and so I went with this text.

Hello again, here I am back again. Also at Belles'n'Whistles we have a new challenge up for you. It was my turn to host the challenge and I picked "sparkle" as the theme of this fortnight.

Ich habe hier den süßen Stempel "Brooke's 1st Christmas" verwendet. Unter dem Motiv habe ich eine Rosette platziert und auch wenn sie nicht ganz rund geworden ist (waren wohl zu viele Falten) finde ich, daß es einen tollen Effekt auf der Karte gibt.

Underneath the image I put a paper rosette and even if it didn't really turn out round (guess I made too many pleates here) I think it adds a nice look to the card.

Snow Fight ist der Name des Stempels für den ich mich diesmal entschieden habe. Und ich finde ihn in den frostigen Farben und mit dem Glitzer einfach wunderbar winterlich. Natürlich sind dan auch die Papiere und Embellishments entsprechend ausgefallen - die Papierblumen habe ich mit Glimmer Mist eingefärbt und sie glitzern wunderbar frostig. Der Text ist von Catslife Press.

Snow Fight is the name of the stamp I used here. And I think colored in those blues and with the glitter put over it looks wonderfully winter-ish. Of course I picked the papers and embellishments matching this look too - the paper flowers were white and I used Glimmer Mist to color them in. The shimmer so beautifully and frosty. Ich habe hier den Weihnachtsbaum zusammen mit einem der Sweet Art Girls II verwendet und eine kleine Weihnachtsszene gemacht. Die Christbaumkugeln glitzern und auch um das Motiv habe ich einen Glitzerrand gesetzt.

I used the christmas tree with one of the new Sweet Art Girls II to create this little christmas scene. The baubles are glittered and also around the image there is glitter put on.

Hallo an alle - und allen Schulanfänger in Bayern heute einen wunderschönen Tag! Bei uns stand der erste Tag Gymnasium an - alles neu, groß und aufregend.... Darum gibt es auch heute nur einen kurzen Post, aber ich muß Euch doch noch meine Karte für unsere neue Challenge bei Belles'n'Whistles zeigen, die schon gestern gestartet ist. Das Thema ist diesmal die Farbkombi rot, blau und gelb.

Hello all - and a great start for all of those bavarian kids that started school today! For us it meant the first day of high school for the twins - everythings big, new and exciting... So I am only sharing a short post with you but I have to show you my card for the new challenge at Belles'n'Whistles that started yesterday. Our theme is the color combo of blue, red and yellow.

Das Motiv ist aus dem zweiten Set ehemaliger Sugar-Nellie-Stempel und auch dies ist eines meiner Lieblinge. Die Farben rot, blau und gelb stehen ihr prima. Natürlich durfte etwas Spitze - diesmal in Form eines Herzens - sowie Blumen und ein kleiner Charm nicht fehlen. Und statt Band habe ich diesmal ein Stück Mull über die Karte gelegt. Um es schön zu raffen habe ich zwei der mittleren Stränge gezogen.

The image is from the second set of stamps that were formally sold by Sugar Nellie and also this one is a fav of mine. The colors red, blue and yellow fit her wonderfully. Of course I had to include some lace - it's heart shaped this time - and a few flowers and a charm. And instead of ribbon I used some cheesecloth this time. To make it look nicer I pulled two of the middle strings.

Ich darf Euch das tolle Motiv Sweet Apples zeigen. Dieses Motiv war schon früher eines meiner Liebling und ich bin so froh, daß es endlich wieder erhältlich ist:

Zum Motiv passend habe ich eine Easel Card in Apfelform gemacht. Da ich schon viele verschiedene Papiere verwendet hatte, habe ich mich bei der Dekoration etwas zurückgehalten. Aber etwas Spitze, Blümchen und Crackle Paint mußte sein.

Matching the image I made an easel card in the shape of an apple. Since I used many different papers I didn't add many embellishments. But a little lace, flowers and some crackle paint just had to be there.

Belles´n´Whistles Challenge "green, blue and white"

So, wie versprochen bin ich hier nochmal, denn auch bei Belles´n´Whistles startet wieder eine neue Challenge. Diesmal war ich an der Reihe und als ich so über das Thema nachgedacht habe fiel mein Blick aus dem Fenster. Auf den blauen Himmel, das frische grüne Gras und die weißen Blüten im Kirschbaum - und somit lautet meine Aufgabe "grün, blau und weiß".

Here I am back again as promissed because also at Belles´n´Whistles we have a new challenge starting today. It´s my turn to host the challenge and when I was thinking about which theme I´d go with I looked out of my window, saw the blue sky, the fresh green gras and the white blossoms of the cherry tree - and so I picked the color combo of blue, green and white.

Ich habe "Here Kitty Kitty" aus der brandneuen Kollektion verwendet. Die Papiere sind von verschiedenen Herstellern - und perfekt dazu paßte der Stoff von Stampin´Up, von dem ich ein paar Kreise ausgeschnitten und aufgenäht habe. Der Text ist ebenfalls von Stampin´Up und aus Transparentpapier habe ich dann noch die Romantic Lace von Magnolia ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt, darunter zwei Schnörkel von Whiff Of Joy.

I used "Here Kitty Kitty" from the brand new collection. Papers are different brands - and the fabric from Stampin´Up was matching those perfectly so I cut a few circles and sewed them on the card. Saying is by SU too and I cut the Romantic Lace by Magnolia from vellum, put it on the card and placed two flourish by Whiff Of Joy underneath.

Bei der Stempelsonne ist diesmal alles erlaubt.

At Stempelsonne they have the theme of anything goes.

"Freche Kreise" heißt die neue Challenge bei Stamp Something - und es können Kreise oder etwas freches oder einfach beides verwendet werden.

Sassy Circles is what they named their new challenge at Stamp Something. So use something sassy, some circles or just both on your creation.

Und Schnörkel sollen es bei Kreative Stempelfreunde sein.

And flourish is what they ask us to include at Kreative Stempelfreunde.

Einen wunderschönen Montag morgen! Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Cupcake Craft - diesmal mit dem sportlichen Thema "Worldcup Wonders". Natürlich angelehnt an das diese Woche anstehende Finale der WM, aber grundlegend gilt jedes sportliche Motiv. Und da ich nicht einen einzigen Fußball-Stempel habe, habe ich mich für dieses Digi-Image von Elisabeth Bell entschieden "Sliding with the Butterflies". Der Sketch, den ich für die Karte verwendet habe, kommt von The Sweet Stop:

Happy monday morning! It´s time to start another challenge over at Cupcake Craft - this week with the sporty theme of "Worldcup Wonders". Of course it is matched the worldcup final that will be played this week but basically you can use every sporty image. And since I don´t have one single soccer stamp I decided to go with this digi by Elisabeth Bell: "Sliding with the Butterflies". The sketch I used for the card is by The Sweet Stop:

At Totally Papercrafts they want us to make a card for a girl.

Und bei den Daring Cardmakern geht es diesmal um den Monatsstein für den Juli: der Rubin. Darum gibt es so viel leuchtendes rot auf meiner Karte.

And at Daring Cardmakers it´s all about this month´s birthstone: ruby. So I used a bunch of bright red on my card.

Wunderschönen Oster-Sonntag Euch allen! Ich hoffe, der Osterhase hat den Weg zu Euch gefunden und Euch viele bunte Eier versteckt. Und ein ganz besonderes Osterei gibt es ab heute bei Elisabeth Bell: Ein neuer Digi-Stamp. Oh, ehrlich gesagt sogar zwei - einmal für Jungs und einmal für Mädchen.

Happy easter to all of you! I hope the easter bunny found it´s way to your home and you have had a lot of fun egg hunting! Well, there is also a very special easter egg for you available from today on: a new Digi-Stamp by Elisabeth Bell. Oh, to be honest, there are even two new images: one for girls and one for the boys.

Ich durfte eine Karte mit der wunderbaren "Belle Horses - Lil princess Tu-Tu" machen. Ist das Motiv nicht wunderbar - mit allem was kleine Mädchenherzen höher schlagen läßt: Pferden, Prinzessinen, Feen - und ein bißchen Wilder Westen. Die Karte kam fast wie von selbst zusammen!

I got the wonderful "Belle Horses - Lil princess Tu-Tu" image to work with and I can´t tell you how much I love it! It has a bit of everything little girls are excited about: horses, princess, fairys - and also a bit of Wild West. The card just came together by itself!

Neues Digi-Image von Elisabeth Bell

Der Post-Titel verrät es bereits: es gibt ein neues Digi-Image von Elisabeth Bell! Exklusiv, nur bei ihr und nur für kurze Zeit. Und wir vom Belles´n´Whistles Designteam dürfen es wieder vorstellen. Danke dafür!

Like you may have guessed from the post title: there is a new digi image by Elisabeth Bell! Exclusiv, only available at her site and only for a short time. And we from the Belles´n´Whistles DT are proud to be choosen to present this image. Thanks for that!

Das Motiv heißt "Pat-a-Cake" und ich dachte mir gleich, daß das ein englischer Kinderreim ist. Ach, wie viele davon fallen mir ein, die wir als Kinder rauf- und runtergesagt haben... Google hat sich mal wieder als sehr hilfreich erwiesen denn ich habe den Reim sofort gefunden:

The image is called "Pat-a-Cake". As you know I am german and I am not fond of english nursery rhymes. But a little googling helped me and here it is:

Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker's man.

Bake me a cake as fast as you can;

Pat it and prick it and mark it with B,

Put it in the oven for baby and me.

Zurück zum Motiv ;o) Ich finde es wieder mal zauberhaft! Ist es nicht wunderbar, "die Große" und "den Kleinen" zusammen spielen zu sehen? Und wenn man möchte, kann man sie aber auch als Mutter und Sohn betrachten. Das gibt dem Motiv so viele Möglichkeiten!

Let´s talk about that image. I think it is adorable! Isn´t it wonderful to see the "big girl" playing the with the "little boy"? And if you want to you can also use this as a mother and her son - this is giving so many more options to use this image!

Bei dem Motiv handelt es sich um ein Digi, das bedeutet, ihr könnt es sofort haben und am PC ausdrucken, so oft Ihr wollt. Und ihr könnt sogar die Größe an Euer Projekt anpassen.

This again is a digi image. That means you can use it immediately after purchasing and print it as many times as you want to. And you can even adjust the size to what you need for your project.

Gibt es jetzt noch jemanden, der dieses Motiv nicht gerne hätte? Dann solltet Ihr unbedingt auch die anderen Beispielkarten von Rosette, Lynda, Iris, Lils, Anki, Jodi und Susan ansehen!

A Tasty Read

Elisabeth Bell bringt heute ihren zweiten Digi Stamp heraus - und hat uns vom Belles´n´Whistles DT gefragt, ob wir zu diesem Anlaß nicht eine Karte machen möchten. Möchten? Aber klar, wer würde dieses traumhafte Motiv nicht gerne verwenden wollen?! Außerdem fühlen wir uns natürlich geehrt, eine der ersten sein zu dürfen, die dieses süße Motiv verwenden dürfen. Der Stempel heißt "A Tasty Read".

Elisabeth Bell is releasing her second digi stamp - and she asked us from the Belles´n´Whistles DT if we want to make a card for that special event. If we want to? Who wouldn´t?! And we also feel totally honored to be one of the firsts using this cute image. It is calle "A Tasty Read".



Ich bin - und war schon immer - eine große Leseratte. Und wieder einmal schafft es Elisabeth, ein Stück meiner eigenen Kindheit auf Papier zu bringen.
