Hallo nochmal! Hier bin ich schon wieder - denn auch bei Belles'n'Whistles gibt es eine neue Challenge für Euch. Das Thema durfte diesmal ich auswählen - und ich habe mich für "so girly" entschieden. Na, das dürfte mit den süßen Motiven von Elisabeth Bell ja eine Leichtigkeit sein, oder?

Hello again - here I am back because also at Belles'n'Whistles we have a new challenge starting today. It was my turn to pick the theme and I went with "so girly". This should really be an easy one with all those wonderful images Elisabeth Bell creates, right?

Ich habe mich für Little Friend entschieden. Allerdings habe ich das Vogelhaus nicht mitgestempelt und stattdessen einen Heißluftballon an "den Himmel" gesetzt. So ist diese Motiv wirklich vielseitig einsetzbar. Der Ballon ist von Stampin' Up und mit Paper Piecing gestaltet.

I used Little Friend here but I didn't stamp the birdhouse but put a balloon "in the sky". You see that this image can be used in so many different ways. The balloon is by Stampin' Up and I did some paper piecing on it.

Ich habe eines der süßen Lili of the Valley Motive verwendet. Durch die Größe ist es wunderbar zu colorieren und macht sich natürlich prima auf einer Karte zum Thema Freundschaft. Darum habe ich auch einen Freunde-Stempel von Stampin'Up als Text verwendet. Der kleine Brad ist mit dem Brad Making Kit selbst gemacht, farblich perfekt passend.

I used one of the cute images by Lili of the Valley. Because of its size it's easy to color and it's great for any friendship project. So I also added a friendship sentiment by Stampin'Up. The little brad is made by me using the brad making kit by Papermania.

Hallo und willkommen! Wir bei Cute Card Thursday starten heute wieder mit einer neuen Challenge, und das Thema diesmal lautet "Kreise".

Hello and welcome! We at Cute Card Thursday are starting a new challenge today and the theme we picked for you this week is "circles".

Ich habe eine sommerliche Karte in weiß, rot und gelb gemacht und dazu die süße Kneeling Tilda benutzt. Und das Stück Papier mit den Käfern und der Marienkäfer-Charm paßten da prima dazu. Als ich das letzte Mal eines der großen runden Spitzendeckchen durchgeschnitten habe - oder durchschneiden wollte - merkte ich nicht, daß ich 2 erwischt hatte. Also gibt es hier wieder ein halbes Deckchen, aber ich finde, es sieht schön so aus. Der Text ist von Stampin´Up.

I made a summer card using red, white and yellow and went with the cute Kneeling Tilda. The piece of patterned paper with those bugs printed on and the ladybug charm were the perfect picks to go with this image. And when I cut one of the big round doilies last time - or wanted to cut one - I didn´t realize that I took two and so there is another half one on this card. But I really like that look. Saying is by Stampin´Up.

Hello and happy thursday! We have a new challenge starting today over at Cute Card Thursday - and the theme we picked for you this week is "lace".

Ich habe wieder eines der süßen Digis von Mo Manning verwendet: Peaches. Da mir nach Vintage war, fand ich das Motiv so schön passend. Neben Brauntönen habe ich auch etwas Pfirsich mit zum Colorieren verwendet und die kupferfarbenen Metallteile paßten super dazu. Im Hintergrund habe ich wieder etwas von den großen runden Spitzendeckchen verwendet, allerdings nur einen halben Kreis. Ich habe ihn, passend zum Vintage-Stil, einfach in der Mitte durchgerissen.

Again I wend with one of the cute Digis by Mo Manning: Peaches. Since I felt like I wanted to do a vintage card I thought the image was perfect. Beside the browns I used I also added some peach to my coloring and the copper embellishments go wonderfully with these colors. In the background I used another sheet of the big round doilies, but just half of it. Matching the vintage style on my card I just teared it apart in the middle.

Hallo Ihr Lieben und schönen Mittwoch! Heute startet wieder eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy, mit diesem Sketch als Inspiration:

Hello over there and happy wednesday! We have a new challenge up for you over at Whiff Of Joy - and this is the sketch we created for you:


Passend zur aktuellen Wetterlage habe ich diese Süße in Regenkleidung coloriert. Und damit die Karte nicht zu trist wirkt, habe ich wieder den Regenbogen von Magnolia dazu kombiniert. Und dazu paßte dann perfekt der Text "thanks for being my rainbow on a cloudy sky". Ich habe ihn auf einen Tag gestempelt und ihn mit weißem Pulver embossed. Der Tag und die anderen Papiere - bis auf das mit den Regentropfen - sind von Whiff Of Joy. Hier noch ein Foto mit sichtbarem Tag:

Matching the weather we had the last days I colored up this cutie in her rain coat. And to make my card not too sad I added that rainbow by Magnolia again. "Thanks for being my rainbow on a cloudy sky" was the perfect saying to use then. I stamped it on a brown tag and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. The tag and the papers - all but the one with the raindrops - are by Whiff Of Joy. Here´s another pic where you can see the tag:

Zum Colorieren habe ich diesmal keine Copics, sondern Twinkling H2O verwendet. Meine Mädels hatten in Stuttgart einen Workshop bei Katharina mitgemacht und seitdem hatten es mir die Farben angetan. Eine große Shoppingtour und 120 Farben später können jetzt auch wir aus dem vollen schöpfen. Ich muß nur noch herausfinden, welche Farbe mit welcher am besten geht.

I didnt´use my Copics for the coloring this time but Twinkling H2O. When we went to that fair at Stuttgart my girls did a coloring workshop with Katharina and since then we were hooked. So after some shopping and 120 colors also we can use these. I only need to find out which combinations work best.

Hallo und schönen Pfingstmontag! Auch heute am Feiertag starten wir bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity eine neue Challenge für Euch. Passend zu den Ferien lautet unser Thema "Urlaub".

Hello and happy monday! Even if there´s a holiday today here in Germany we at Stamps&Fun=Creativity have a new challenge starting for you. Since there is the time of school holidays we picked the theme of vacation.

Nun, Urlaub muß ja nicht immer mit einer weiten Reise verbunden sein. Darum habe ich den runden Text "mal die Seele baumeln lassen" am PC erstellt, dazu noch die Worte "schöne Ferien" und ihn dann zusammen mit der süßen Fee von Belles´n´Whistles "Fairy Fond Thoughts" kombiniert. Für mich sieht sie aus als ob sie einen freien Tag im Wald genießen und einfach in den Tag träumen würde. Auch eine Art Urlaub, wie ich finde.

Well, vacation don´t has to mean a travel far away. So I created the round sentiment which means something like to leave all cares behind and also the saying of "happy holidays" and used both with this cute fairy from Belles´n´Whistles "Fairy Fond Thoughts". To me she´s looking like she is having a day off, sitting there and enjoying nature. Also this is some kind of holiday to me.

Schönen Montag Morgen! Es ist Zeit für eine neue Woche - und Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Diesmal lautet unser Thema "Schnörkel".

Happy monday morning! It´s time for new week to start - and time for a new challenge over at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Our theme this week is "flourishes".

Nun, hier die vorletzte Kommunionkarte, die letzte hebe ich mir noch ein wenig auf. Diesmal habe ich A Child's Prayer von Belles'n'Whistles verwendet. Den Teddy habe ich "weggezaubert", dafür habe ich Belle ein Kränzchen auf den Kopf gesetzt. Und schon ist sie ein Kommunionkind. Dazu dann wieder der Rainbow with Clouds von Magnolia. Die Farben habe ich wieder gedeckt gehalten, dazu ein paar Perlen und Blumen und die Schnörkel von Whiff Of Joy.

So, here´s nearly the last communion card I have to share - I am going to keep the last one as a secret for a little while. Here I used A Child's Prayer by Belles'n'Whistles. I removed the teddy bear but added a little wreath to her head - and there you have a beautiful communion child. Again I used the Rainbow with Clouds from Magnolia. I used only light colors, added a few pearls and flowers and those beautiful flourishes by Whiff Of Joy.

Belles´n´Whistles Challenge "green, blue and white"

So, wie versprochen bin ich hier nochmal, denn auch bei Belles´n´Whistles startet wieder eine neue Challenge. Diesmal war ich an der Reihe und als ich so über das Thema nachgedacht habe fiel mein Blick aus dem Fenster. Auf den blauen Himmel, das frische grüne Gras und die weißen Blüten im Kirschbaum - und somit lautet meine Aufgabe "grün, blau und weiß".

Here I am back again as promissed because also at Belles´n´Whistles we have a new challenge starting today. It´s my turn to host the challenge and when I was thinking about which theme I´d go with I looked out of my window, saw the blue sky, the fresh green gras and the white blossoms of the cherry tree - and so I picked the color combo of blue, green and white.

Ich habe "Here Kitty Kitty" aus der brandneuen Kollektion verwendet. Die Papiere sind von verschiedenen Herstellern - und perfekt dazu paßte der Stoff von Stampin´Up, von dem ich ein paar Kreise ausgeschnitten und aufgenäht habe. Der Text ist ebenfalls von Stampin´Up und aus Transparentpapier habe ich dann noch die Romantic Lace von Magnolia ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt, darunter zwei Schnörkel von Whiff Of Joy.

I used "Here Kitty Kitty" from the brand new collection. Papers are different brands - and the fabric from Stampin´Up was matching those perfectly so I cut a few circles and sewed them on the card. Saying is by SU too and I cut the Romantic Lace by Magnolia from vellum, put it on the card and placed two flourish by Whiff Of Joy underneath.

Bei der Stempelsonne ist diesmal alles erlaubt.

At Stempelsonne they have the theme of anything goes.

"Freche Kreise" heißt die neue Challenge bei Stamp Something - und es können Kreise oder etwas freches oder einfach beides verwendet werden.

Sassy Circles is what they named their new challenge at Stamp Something. So use something sassy, some circles or just both on your creation.

Und Schnörkel sollen es bei Kreative Stempelfreunde sein.

And flourish is what they ask us to include at Kreative Stempelfreunde.

Herzlich willkommen! Es ist der letzte Samstag im Monat und somit Zeit für die neue Challenge bei Stempeleinmaleins. Diesmal stammt der Sketch von mir:

Welcome! It´s the last saturday of march and so the time for a new challenge over at Stempeleinmaleins has come. This time the sketch is made by me:


Als Zusatzoption gibt es das Thema "Tiere". Hmm, ich habe nicht viele Tier-Stempel - aber dann fielen mir die süßen Schnecken von LeLo ein, und die waren perfekt. Ich habe die kleine Schnecke mit Blume und Muffin mit der größeren, die eigentlich mit Schildkröten-Freund kommt, kombiniert. Das ganze in Frühlingsfarben und schon ist eine fröhliche Geburtstagskarte fertig.

As an optional extra we have picked "favourite animals" this time. Well, I don´t have many animal stamps but then I remembered those cute snails from LeLo and they were perfect. I combined the small snail with the muffin and flower together with the bigger one that usually comes with a turtle friend. I picked some fresh spring-colors for papers and coloring and a happy birthday card was done.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 19. März 2011

Schönen Samstag Euch allen! Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins und diesmal haben wir eine Anleitung für eine Zeltkarte.

Happy saturday to all of you! It´s time for a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins and this week we have a tutorial for how to make a tent card up for you.

Ich wollte unbedingt eine Karte mit den neuen Magnolia-Stempeln machen - und weil ich mich so schlecht entscheiden konnte, war ich wirklich froh, daß für eine Zeltkarte problemlos mehrere Stempel verwendet werden können. Darum habe ich den Stone Path, Magnolia with Butterfly (der süße Hund) und Tilda with Straw Hat benutzt und damit ist eine schöne, frühlingshafte Szene entstanden.
Auch die Papiere sind von Magnolia - die mit den Schmetterlingen aus der neuen Kollektion: Spring Butterfly und eines der neuen 6 x 6 Papiere, Turquoise Butterfly.

I so badly wanted to use one of the new Magnolia stamps - and since it was so hard to pick just one I was really happy that it is no problem to use more than one stamp on the tent cards. So I went with Stone Path, Magnolia with Butterfly and Tilda with Straw Hat to create this cute, springish scene.
Also the papers are by Magnolia, the ones with the butterflies are from the new collection: Spring Butterfly and Turquoise Butterfly, which is one of the new 6 x 6 papers.

Bei Just Magnolia wollen sie eine Karte in den Lieblingsfarben sehen. Wie gesagt, das ändert nach Lust und Laune, aber blau und türkis gefällt mir immer!

At Just Magnolia they want us to make a card using our favourite color combo. As I mentioned before, this can change every day, but blue and turquoise is something I really like!

Bei Stamp Something heißt es "something sweet", also was süßes, und das muß nicht unbedingt etwas Süßes zu essen sein.

At Stamp Something the new theme is "something sweet" - and this doesn´t have to be food.

"Frühlingsblumen" lautet das Thema bei Stempel-Magie.

Hallo und willkommen! Es ist schon wieder Montag - und somit auch Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Und diesmal sollt Ihr uns Karten in Eurer Lieblingsfarbkombi zeigen. Das ist ja immer so eine Sache und wechselt bei mir eigentlich täglich, je nach Lust und Laune. Heute war mir - wahrscheinlich durch das schöne Wetter draußen - nach fröhlich, frisch, frühlingshaft. Grün! Und weil die Karte für einen Lehrer auf der Schule meiner Kinder ist - oh Gott, eine Karte für einen Mann!!!! - habe ich dezent creme und braun dazu kombiniert.

Hello and welcome! It´s another monday and so it´s also time for another challenge over at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. This week we want to see your cards made using your favourite color combo. Well, this is something that can change daily, depending on the season, weather... Today I felt like using something fresh, spring-ish, I guess this came from the beautiful weather we got. Green! And since the card is made for a teacher at my girl´s schook - oh boy, a men card!!!! - I combined this with a decent cream and brown.

Ich wurde gefragt, ob ich irgendwie einen Notenschlüssel oder so in die Karte einbauen könnte... Und da fiel mir dann der süße Zwerg von Whiff Of Joy ein - mit Notenschlüssel und Noten um den Kopf und Gitarre in der Hand. Kombiniert mit Notenpapier dann perfekt.

I was asked to use a clef somewhere on my card... And so this cute little gnome from Whiff Of Joy was the perfect choice - with a clef and notes surrounding his head and a guitar in his hand. Together with some music paper it is perfect.

Ich finde diese Farbkombi prima - nicht nur für Liebeskarten! Ich wollte unbedingt mal wieder den süßen Stempel "Cupcake" benutzen und dazu paßte mein neuer Text von Stampin´Up prima: wenn Du bist was Du ißt, dann iss was Süßes!

I love this color combo - not only for love cards! I so badly wanted to use the cute "Cupcake" stamp again and my new saying by Stampin´Up was so great to go with it: if you are what you eat, eat something cute!

Auch auf dem Hintergrundpapier sind lauter kleine Cupcakes, Ton-in-Ton, und die Cupcake-Stanze mußte ich auch einweihen... Sorry, irgendwie geht der Cupcake auf dem Bild etwas unter, aber in echt auf der Karte ist er prima zu sehen.

There are many cupcakes on the designer´s paper, all tone-in-tone, and I also had to use my new cupcake punch... Sorry, somehow this yummy cupcake isn´t popping out on the picture but it does in reality on the card.

Ist es nicht zauberhaft...?! Ich liebe den Gesichtsausdruck und die großen Augen und den Stil ihres Kleides, der mich ein wenig an die 20er Jahre erinnert!

Isn´t it just too cute..?! I love the expression on her face and those big eyes and the way her dress is made, that remind me a bit of the 1920ies!
Here´s a close up of her:

Mir war sofort klar, daß der Vogelkäfig von Tim Holtz perfekt zu diesem Motiv paßt. Und auch der Vintage-Style gefällt mir dazu wahnsinnig gut. Den Vogelkäfig - sowohl auf dem Motiv als auch den ausgestanzten - habe ich mit einer dünnen Schicht Perlen-Pen überzogen und auch die Knöpfe sind mit dem Perlenpen gestaltet. Den Hintergrund habe ich mit Distress Ink gewischt und die Ränder der Motivpapiere mit etwas Crackle Paint überzogen.

I new from the moment I saw this image that the bird cage by Tim Holtz goes perfectly with it. And also the vintage style is wonderful for it. I covered the bird cage - the one on the image and the cut out one - with a think layer of pearl pen and used it also to add some dimension to the buttons on her dress. I used some Distress Ink around the image and Crackle Paint for the edges of the papers.
