Nach einem Tag Pause möchten wir Euch heute den letzten Stempel aus der neuen Reihe vorstellen: Water Lily. 

After a day of pause we want to present you the last stamp of this new release today: Water Lily.

Diesmal hat sich die kleine Meerjungfrau an die Oberfläche getraut und genießt die warmen Sonnenstrahlen und den Duft der Seerosen.

Pink war meine erste Wahl - schon allein wegen der Seerosen... Und so sind auch Papiere und Embellishments, neben etwas weiß und blau und braun, hauptsächlich pink ausgefallen.

Und natürlich durften Glitzer und Perlen auch diesmal nicht fehlen.

Today the little mermaid took a trip out of the water and is now enjoying the warm sun and the smell of the water lillies.

Pink was my first choice of color here - also because of the water lilies. And so also my papers and embellishments are mainly pink, beside some white and blue and brown.

And of course glitter and pearls were a must also here.

Es ist Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday und diesmal wird es patriotisch!

It's time for a new challenge at Cute Card Thursday and this week we are going patriotic!

Eigentlich ist das ja so gar nicht mein Thema - die Farben sind nicht unbedingt der Knaller, Karten zum Tag der Dt. Einheit verschickt man nicht und einen anderen patriotischen Feiertag haben wir nicht. Das Thema bereitet mir also eigentlich Kopfzerbrechen. Aber dann ist da die Fußball-EM... Und darum habe ich ein Schland-Fähnchen gemacht. Schon Anfang letzter Woche, darauf vertrauend, dass die Jungs es mindestens ins Halbfinale schaffen und ich mit meinem Fähnchen am heutigen Tag nicht etwas dämlich dastehe... ;)

Well, this is not really my theme - the colors of our flag aren't too great for cards, we don't send cards for the day of german reunion and we don't have any other patriotic holiday. So the theme usually is a challenge for me. But then there is the Euopean Championship of Soccer at the moment... And so I made a Schland-flag. Schland isn't a real word - it comes from the fans singing "Deutschland" which means Germany in german but when a crowd of people sings is you only hear "schland" and so this is common and used everywhere in Germany now. I already made this flag beginning of last week, really trusting that our team will made it at least to the half final which will be tonight and so I won't feel stupid for posting it on my blog allthough they already had to go home... Well, they made it so far! ;)

Der süße Fußballer ist von Whiff Of Joy und ich habe ihn nach den Farben der Trikots unserer Mannschaft coloriert. Ansonsten habe ich Farben unserer Flagge verwendet. Und damit es beim Schwenken auch noch schön klingt, habe ich ein kleines Glöckchen mit an das Stäbchen gebunden.

The cute soccer player is a stamp by Whiff Of Joy and I colored his clothes matching the ones our team is wearing. For the rest I used the colors of our flag. And to make it more fun waving the flag I also added a little golden bell to it.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 23. Juni 2012

Schönen Samstag!

Natürlich gibt es auch diese Woche eine neue Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins. Das Thema diese Woche ist Flip-Karte.

Of course there is a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins today - and this week we show you how to make a flip card.

Ich habe es leider nicht hinbekommen, ein ordentliches Foto mit stehender Karte zu machen, so dass man den Effekt auch wirklich toll sehen kann. Aber so sieht meine Karte offen aus:

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a good picture of the card standing to really show the effect. But this is my card opened:

Das Motiv, das ich verwendet habe, ist das Digi, das Silvia Zet für uns zum 1. Geburtstag des Copic Marker Europe Blog gezeichnet hat. Ihr könnt das Digi (oder auch das, das Krista Smith für uns gezeichnet hat) noch bis Mittwoch kostenlos bei uns anfordern - verpflichtet Euch allerdings, dann damit eine Karte zu machen und bei unserem Wettbewerb (natürlich mit tollen Preisen!) teilzunehmen.

Die Idee, die Karte mit einem Band zu verschließen, fand ich prima. Bis ich es dann getan hatte und die Karte sich nicht mehr öffnen ließ. Darum ist das Band auf dem allersten Paneel links festgeklebt, und das Band zum Verschließend dann bündig daneben auf die anderen Paneele geklebt. So funktioniert es dann doch.

The image I used is the digi Silvia Zet drew for the 1st birthday of Copic Marker Europe Blog. You can still request the image (or the one Krista Smith drew) for free until wednesday - but if you do so you commit to enter our challenge there. Of course there are great prices out there!

I loved the idea of closing the card with some ribbon - until I did it and found out that the card can't be opened. So I cut it into 3 pieces and fixed the one at the very first panel, the other pieces were used to tie the bow. And so it worked.

Sugar Nellie für Jungs

Schönen Dienstag Morgen!
Heute zeige ich Euch wieder eine Karte mit einem der süßen Stempel von Sugar Nellie.

As every tuesday I share another Sugar Nellie creation with you today.

Der Stempel auf meiner Karte ist in Wirklichkeit ein Digi, designed von Diane Duda und heißt Best Buds. Ich finde dieses Motiv einfach großartig und auch wenn Jungenkarten wohl eher weniger weit oben auf der "Dinge-die-ich-gerne-mache"-Liste stehen, dieses Motiv hat es mir wirklich leicht gemacht. Es ist wunderbar zu colorieren - und wenn ich es anschaue muss ich grinsen.
Dekomäßig habe ich mich zurückgehalten - etwas Cheesecloth, ein Knopf, zwei Sterne und etwas Distressing müssen reichen. Dafür gibt der schwarze Cardstock einen schönen Kontrast.

The stamp I used here is actually a digi designed by Diane Duda. It's called Best Buds. I just love this image and even if those boys' cards aren't on top of my "things-I-love-to-make"-list, this image made it easy. It's so great to color in and whenever I look at it I just have to smile.
I didn't add a lot of decoration - some cheesecloth, a button, two stars and some distressing had to do it. But the black cardstock I used for the matting really adds to the card.

There is a new challenge at The Sketchy Challenge - and this is our new sketch:

Ich habe danach eine Karte zur goldenen Konfirmation meiner Mutter gemacht. Sie liebt Sarah Kay und darum habe ich dieses Motiv gewählt, dem Anlass passend mit einem goldenen Kleid coloriert. Dafür habe ich neben Copics noch goldfarbenen Spica Pen darüber gegeben. Und die Kombination mit blau und weiß hat mir prima gefallen.
Für den Spruch habe ich den Konfirmations-Siegelstempel umgewandelt.

I used it to make a card for my mom's golden confirmation. She adores Sarah Kay and that's why I picked this image. Making it match the occasion I colored her dress in gold. Therefor I did not only use Copics but also some golden Spica Pen. And I liked the combination of gold with blue and white.

Das Motiv, das wir Euch heute zeigen möchten, heißt Telltale.

The image we are going to present you today is called Telltale.

Wenn ich es ansehe, kommen mir sofort zig Ideen, für die dieses süße Motiv passen würde. Für diese Karte habe ich den Text "a little bird told me" - ein Vögelchen hat mir gezwitschert - genommen. Das kann dann eine Geburtstagskarte sein, oder eine Glückwunschekarte zu einer anderen Gelegenheit, die vielleicht nicht so groß gefeiert wird...
Farblich bin ich schon ganz im Sommer angekommen: rosa, weiß, braun und etwas blau. Und das Vogelhäuschen war dann die ideale Ergänzung zum Motiv.

When I look at this image there are so many ideas popping up in my mind what I could use this image for. For today's card I went with "a little bird told me". And so this could be a birthday card or a card for any other occasion that might not be celebrated that much...
Colorwise I reached summer already: pink, white, brown and some blue. And the bird house was the perfect finish to go with this image.

Today I want to share this baby bottle box that I made for Whiff Of Joy's Inspirational Blog. There you can also find a description how to make your own one.

Ich habe hier Baby Henry verwendet. Mit dem Schnuller im Mund war er perfekt. Dekoriert habe ich mit Knöpfen und Sternen aus Cardstock, etwas Bordüre und kleinen Herzen, die ich im Hintergrund gestempelt habe.

I used Baby Henry here. With the pacifier in his mouth he was perfect to go on the baby bottle. To decorate the box I used some buttons, stars from cardstock, some paper border and tiny white hearts, that I stamped in the background.

It's saturday again and so it's time for the new issue of Stempeleinmaleins. And since it's the last saturday of the month our new challenge is starting.
This is our sketch - and the optional extra theme is "easter".

Ich habe hier eines der Digis von Tidly Inks verwendet. Irgendwie sind Osterstempel bei mir rar. Und farblich habe ich mich, für mich ganz ungewöhnlich, für gelb und rosa entschieden... Frühling eben!
Die Papiere sind von Magnolia und DCWV und etwas Tortenspitze durfte auch nicht fehlen....

I used one of the digis by Tidly Inks. And colorwise I went with the combo of pink of yellow which is totally unusual for me.... It's spring!

Es ist Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy - und unser neues Thema lautet "Frühling liegt in der Luft".

It's that time again for a new challenge at Whiff Of Joy Challenges. Our new theme is "spring is in the air".

Ich habe hier einen der Stempel aus dem Februar 2010 Stempelkit "Birdie Love" verwendet. Die Motive sind so vielseitig einsetzbar - und diesmal ist einer dann auf diese Frühlingskarte gehüpft.
Farblich hatte ich mir das Kleid anders vorgestellt, aber ich habe aus Versehen zum falschen Stift gegriffen... Naja, nachdem ich viele verschiedene Farben und Lagen übereinander gelegt hatte, war ich dann mit dem Ergebnis doch ganz zufrieden. Und immerhin paßt es zum Papier.
Die Blüte habe ich aus Stoff und einem gewellten Kreis mit der Big Shot ausgestanzt.

I used one of the stamps from the februray 2010 stamp kit "birdie love". Those images can be used so versatile - and this time it went on this spring card.
Before I started the coloring I had an idea in mind how the dress should look like - and then I grabed the wrong marker... Well, after a lot of layering different colors I am quite happy with the result and at least the color matches the papers.
The flower has been made using a few scalloped circles cut from fabric.

Nun aber ab in den Alltag, denn es gibt eine neue Challenge bei The Sketchy Challenge.
Und dies ist unser neuer Sketch:

Und ich nutze ihn gleich, um Euch den ersten der neuen Stempel von Whiff Of Joy zu präsentieren! Heute startet nämlich die Preview-Woche für die neuen Stempel aus der "We Are Family" Kollektion. Sie besteht aus 10 süßen Henry-Stempeln. Doch Henry ist diesmal nicht alleine, er hat seine ganze Familie mitgebracht. Und die Motive sind so süß, es war wirklich schwer sich zu entscheiden, welches ich zuerst verwenden möchte! Schließlich habe ich mir für "So Entdeckst Du Die Welt" entschieden. Ein Spaziergang in der Frühlingssonne... Wenn das nicht paßt!
Geben wird es die Stempel dann ab dem 22. März bei Whiff Of Joy.

And I am using this beautiful sketch, to present you the first of the new stamps by Whiff Of Joy! Today preview week for the new stamps from the "We Are Family" range is starting. These are 10 of those cute Henry stamps. But Henry isn't allone this time - he brought all his family. And those images are so cute, it was really hard to decide which one to color first. Finally I picked "How You Discover The World" (my own translation of the german name so the english one might be different). A walk in the spring sun... isn't that perfect for today?
The stamps will be available at Whiff Of Joy from the 22nd of march.

Mein Bruder bekommt ja im Mai sein erstes Baby, na wenn da die Kollektion nicht wie gerufen kommt! Und irgendwie bin ich auf Junge eingestellt, auch wenn die beiden nicht wissen möchten, was es wird. Notfalls muss ich eben nochmal neu produzieren. LOL

My brother and his girl friend will have their first baby in may so this collection has been brought out at the perfect moment for me. Somehow I am thinking of the baby being a boy, even if the two don't want to know the gender. So in case I need to re-produce. LOL

Ich hatte schon eine kleine Vorschau - und wie immer sind die Werke umwerfend.

Für meine Karte habe ich mich für weiß-rosa entschieden.

Rechts neben dem Motiv ist ein Schnörkel aus Folie ausgestanzt, den ich mit Sandpapier angerauht habe. So ist er nicht so aufdringlich und doch sieht die Seite nicht leer aus. 

Die Ästchen sind von Magnolia, links bei der Schleife versteckt sich noch ein silberner Kronen-Charm.

For my card I went with white and pink.

On the right to the image I added a flourish cut out from transparency that I used my sanding block on to raugh it up a bit. Now it's not taking too much attention but the top right is not looking empty.

The branches are by Magnolia, on the left, underneath the bow, there is a little silver crown charm.

Nur alle 4 Jahre gibt es einen 29. Februar - und wenn der dann auch noch auf einen Mittwoch fällt, dann müssen wir bei Whiff Of Joy Challenges dieses Thema einfach aufgreifen. Darum ist die Überschrift unserer neuen Challenge "LEAP"- englisch für Schaltjahr. Von diesem Wort haben wir die Buchstaben genommen und ein Thema daraus gebastelt:

Hello and welcome on this very special day!

There is a 29th of february only every 4 years - and if it also is a wednesday then we at Whiff Of Joy Challenges have to pick up the theme. So the title of our new challenge is "LEAP". We took the letters and made a very special theme for you:

L = lace/Spitze

E = easelcard

A = animals/Tiere

P = pink

Zugegeben, ziemlich hohe Anforderungen aber wir hoffen, Ihr macht mit!

We know, these are very specific things we ask for but we hope you'll join us!

Ich habe für meine Easelcard "Sei mein Freund" aus der neuen Frühlingskollektion verwendet. Außerdem habe ich mit dem Frühlingsbaum im Hintergrund und dem Herbstgras eine kleine Szene gestaltet. Das Gras/die Blumen im Inneren der Karte können aufgeklappt werden und so entsteht eine 3dimensionale Wirkung.

Die Form der Karte ist mit einem Punch Around The Page Stanzer von Martha Stewart gemacht, der Text ist von Catslife Press.

For my easelcard I used "Sei mein Freund (bee my friend)" from the newest spring collection. I also used the spring tree in the background and the autumn grass to create a little scene. The grass/the flowers on the inside of the card can be put up and so you get a 3D look.

The shape of the card was made using a Punch Around The Page punch by Martha Stewart, the saying is by Catslife Press.

Zuerst möchte ich mich mal entschuldigen - solltet Ihr heute bereits früher hier gewesen sein und nur einen Post mit zwei Links vorgefunden haben - Blogger hat hier irgendwo einen riesen Wurm reingebracht. Ich hatte den kompletten Post vorbereitet aber offenbar ist alles irgendwo verloren gegangen und die Links war alles, was blieb....
Darum hier ein komplett neuer Post mit meiner Karte zu unserer Herzen-Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity.

First I have to appologize - if you've been here earlier today and all you found in this post were two links. I had scheduled the whole posting but somehow all the text and pictures disapperead and those links were all that was left...
So here I am back with a new post with my card for our heart challenge over at Stamps&Fun=Creativity.

Ich habe eine Easel-Karte in Herzenform gemacht und vorne den süßen Henry mit Rose von Whiff Of Joy verwendet. Der Text ist ein Teil eines Stempels von Stampin'Up, bei dem ich die Buchstaben einzeln ausgeschnitten habe. 

I made a heart shaped easel card and used Henry with Rose by Whiff Of Joy as my image. The saying is a part of a stamp by Stampin' Up where I cut out the single letters.

 Auch die Innenseite ist ein wenig dekoriert mir Herz und Spitze.

Also the inside was decorated a bit with a heart and some lace.
