 Ich habe für den Hop keine Karte gemacht, sondern eine Verpackung für ein Samentütchen. Und da ich Tomatensamen verwendet habe, paßt das Motiv Du Hast Einen Grünen Daumen perfekt.

I didn't make a card for this hop but a sleeve for a package full of seeds. And since I used tomato seeds the image You Have Green Fingers was the perfect one.

Viel Platz war auf dem Tütchen nicht, aber das Motiv hatte genau die richtige Größe - und viel Deko muss hier ja auch nicht sein. 

Das Wort Gartenfreuden habe ich mit dem PC geschrieben.

Närrischen Faschingsdienstag!

Los gehts in die letzte Runde des Faschings. Nicht, dass ich davon bisher schon etwas gesehen hätte. Aber die Hoffnung, zumindest heute nachmittag noch auf den Kinderfasching zu können, ist da. Zumindest zum Kuchen-Abgeben fahre ich auf jeden Fall hin. 

Aber für einige ist das Feiern mit Aschermittwoch noch nicht vorbei denn es gibt ja Geburtstage.... Und so habe ich für meine heutige Karte auf dem Sugar Nellie Blog eine Geburtstagskarte gemacht.

Crazy carnival tuesday!

Well, we're off to the last round of carnival. Not that I've been to any carnival party yet. But I am still hoping to at least join the kids carnival party with my girls this afternoon. For sure I'll drive by, and if it's only to bring the cake I made.

But partying won't be over for all of us by the end of this day - there are birthdays ahead... And so I made a birthday card for my post over at the Sugar Nellie blog today.

 Das Motiv, das ich verwendet habe, heißt "Pringle". Ist der Hase mit seinen langen Ohren und dem Geschenk nicht zum Knuddeln? 

Ihr kennt mich ja - farblich bin ich eher der gedeckte Typ, so auch diesmal. Braun, grau und blau waren die Farben des Tages. 

Neben das Motiv habe ich einen Gartenzaun und Gras von Martha Stewart und eine "Blütenranke" gesetzt. Kennt Ihr das, Ihr gebt etwas probeweise auf die Karte (in meinem Fall kleine hellblauen Blüten, die ich aufgestreut habe), Euch gefällt das Ergebnis aber nach dem Festkleben sieht es ganz anders aus? So ging es mir hier, aber die kleinen Perlen, die dicke Schleife und der "Küchenstück-auf-Teller-Charm" haben es dann doch noch gerettet.

Well, you know me - colors are used in a dose on my crafts, and so I went with a braun, grey and blue combo today.

I put a fence and grass by Martha Stewart next to the image and a "floral flourish". Do you know this: you put something on your card to see what it looks like, you like it but after you adhered it with glue it looks totally different? This is what happened to me here with the tiny blue flowers. But I think the little pearls, the big bow and the "slice-of-cake-on-a-plate-charm" make it look okay again.

Schönen Dienstag! Mo Manning hält über Facebook einen Wettbewerb ab. Es gibt gratis dieses Digi zum runterladen - eigentlich sind es zwei: das Mädchen in Unterwäsche und dazu das Kleid, eigentlich mit Laschen nach guter alter Anzieh-Püppchen-Manier. Mann, was habe ich die Dinger als Kind geliebt und ich weiß noch, daß sie das Mitgebsel auf vielen Kindergeburtstagen waren...

Happy tuesday! Mo Manning is having a contest on her Facebook site. You get a digi freebie to use for the contest - well actually there are two: the girl in underwear and the dress. The dress has those extra paper pieces to be used for paper dolls. Oh, how much did I love those when I was a kid and I remember them being given away at a lot of birthday parties...

Ich habe für das Kleid fabric piecing angewandt - als paper piecing nur mit Stoff. Den Rock habe ich etwas gebogen aufgebracht und darunter eine Lage extrafeinen, gerafften Tüll. Jetzt sieht es fast aus wie ein Rock mit Petticoat:

I did some fabric piecing on the dress - it´s the same as paper piecing but with fabric. I only glued down the skirt part of the dress on the outer edges and put a layer of extra fine tulle underneath. Now it kind of looks like a skirt with a petticoat:


Hier noch eine andere Ansicht - man kann dem Mädchen quasi "unter den Rock schauen".

Den gleichen Stoff wie für das Kleid habe ich dann auch auf der Karte verwendet, um alles zusammen zu bringen.

Cute Card Thursday - technology

Hallo und schönen Donnerstag! Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday and wir haben das Thema "Technik" für Euch ausgesucht. Ihr könnt alles technische verwenden, das Euch einfällt - Roboter, Maschinen....

Hello and happy thursday! It´s time for a new challenge over at Cute Card Thursday and we picked the theme of technology for you. You can think of anything technical here, robots, machines etc.

Nun, damit sieht es bei mir schlecht aus und natürlich kamen die Bilder vom Magnolia Stamp-Kit mit der süßen Astronautin erst raus, als ich die Karte schon fertig hatte. Aber zum Glück habe ich ja bastelbegeisterte Kinder! Natascha hat sich dieses Stempelset von SU gekauft und ich habe es mir ausgeliehen. Da ich nicht eine rein-technische Karte machen sondern unbedingt etwas "cutes" unterbringen wollte habe ich die "Waiting Tilda" zusammen mit dem Roboter-Mädchen gestempelt. Der Text "happy bot-day human" ist ebenfalls aus dem Set von SU, zwar anders zusammengesetzt, aber ich wußte, der muß es sein!

Well, I don´t have any technology stamps and of course those pictures of the new Magnolia stamp kit with the cute space Tilda were showing up right after I finished the card. But lucky me I have girls that love to craft! Natascha bought this stamp set by SU and I borrowed it. Since I didn´t want to make a technology only card I combined this robot girl with Waiting Tilda. The saying is also from the same set by SU. I had to combine two different stamps but I knew this is the saying I need to use here!

Cute Card Thursday - I like chocolate a lot

Hallo und wunderschönen Donnerstag! Dies ist meine allererste Karte als Designteam-Mitglied von Cute Card Thursday! Oh, bin ich aufgeregt.... Und das Thema ist auch noch genau das meine "I like chocolate a lot". Könnte jetzt direkt von mir stammen, die Aussage. Wie Ihr das Thema umsetzt, ist Euch überlassen - Motiv, Thema, Farbe... Hauptsache Schokolade!

Hello everyone! This is my very first card as a design team member over at Cute Card Thursday! Oh, I am so excited.... And the theme is perfect for me: "I like chocolate a lot". I could have picked this. How you use this theme is up to you - image, theme, colors.... As long as it´s chocolate!

Ich wußte sofort, was ich machen wollte. Aber das richtige Motiv war gar nicht so leicht zu finden... Zuerst hatte ich eine Tilda coloriert - aber da sie keinen Mund hat, sah das mit dem verschmierten Schokomund absolut komisch aus. Und als dann auch noch Natascha in mein Zimmer kam und sagte "oh schade, da hast Du gepatzt" war das Thema durch. Doch dann kam ich auf "Strawberry Tea" von Belles´n´Whistles... Und sie sieht auch fast noch so aus, als hätte sie ein schlechtes Gewissen, weil sie dem Teddy die ganze Schokolade weggefutter hat. ;O) Der passende Text kam dann von Stampin´Up.

I knew immediately what I wanted to make. But it wasn´t that easy to find the right image... First I had colored a Tilda - but since she has no mouth the chocolate in her face looked totally strange. And when Natascha came to my room and said "oh, how sad, you spilled some color over the image" I knew that this was not what I will use. But then I picked "Strawberry Tea" by Belles´n´Whistles... And it even looks like she´s feeling bad because she didn´t share with the Teddy. ;o) The matching text is by Stampin´Up.

Hallo und schönen Dienstag! Ostern kommt näher - und ich brauchte eine Pause von Hasen und Co. Da kam mir die Challenge bei Totally Tilda genau recht: Tilda aus aller Welt - außer England. Ich wollte die kleine Indianerin schon lange mal vewenden und als ich dann so hin und her überlegte, kam mir die Idee mit den Rauchzeichen...

Hello and happy tuesday! Easter is coming closer - and I needed a break from bunnies and co. So the challenge over at Totally Tilda came in right perfect: Tilda from around the world (not England). I wanted to use this little native american since a long time and when I was thinking how to make my card I got the idea of her making smoke signs (without having an idea if this is the right english word for that LOL).

Der Sketch ist vom Sweet Stop. Eigentlich gibt es die Zusatzaufgabe, etwas mit Flügeln zu verwenden. Ich hatte da einen kleinen Denkfehler. Ich dachte an Flügel - und assoziierte es mit Federn. Darum also Federn statt gefiederten Tieren auf meiner Karte. Zumindest ein Flügel-Charm ist dabei...:

The sketch I used is from Sweet Stop. They have the extra to use things with wings. And I totally mixed this up in my mind. I was thinking wings - and got the association of feathers. So I used feathers instead of winged things. At least there is a wing charm included...:

Hallo und schönen Ferienbeginn! Ja, endlich Osterferien - und auch der Übertritts-Streß, der im Nachhinein gar nicht so schlimm war wie befürchtet und von anderen prophezeit, ist vorbei. Darüber freut sich bestimmt auch der High School Student auf meiner Karte, die ich für meinen heutigen Inspirations-Post auf dem Simply Sassy Blog gemacht habe.

Einen wunderschönen Montag morgen! Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Cupcake Craft - diesmal mit dem sportlichen Thema "Worldcup Wonders". Natürlich angelehnt an das diese Woche anstehende Finale der WM, aber grundlegend gilt jedes sportliche Motiv. Und da ich nicht einen einzigen Fußball-Stempel habe, habe ich mich für dieses Digi-Image von Elisabeth Bell entschieden "Sliding with the Butterflies". Happy monday morning! It´s time to start another challenge over at Cupcake Craft - this week with the sporty theme of "Worldcup Wonders". Of course it is matched the worldcup final that will be played this week but basically you can use every sporty image. And since I don´t have one single soccer stamp I decided to go with this digi by Elisabeth Bell: "Sliding with the Butterflies". The sketch I used for the card is by The Sweet Stop:

Okay, ich denke, ich habe Euch genug auf die Folter gespannt. Wollt Ihr das wunderschöne Motiv "Little Eden With Teddy" sehen? Voila:

Ist sie nicht einfach wundervoll? Und hier ist die Karte, auf der das süße Motiv sitzt:

Oh, isn´t she soooo cute? And here´s the card this little beauty lives on:



Natürlich mußte ich ganz viel rosa verwenden... Die Papiere sind alle aus dem Nana´s Nursery Baby Girl stack von DCWV. Ich wußte, die perfekte Gelegenheit dafür würde kommen! Der ovale Stempel mit dem Kinderwagen ist von Stampin´Up, den Herz-Knopf habe ich aus Cardstock und einer SU-Stanze selbstgemacht und anschließend mit farbloser Crackle Paint überzogen.

Of course I had to use a bunch of pink... All papers are from Nana´s Nursery Baby Girls stack by DCWV. I knew there would be the perfect day to use it! The oval stamp with the baby carriage is by Stampin´Up, the heartshaped button is made using a SU punch and pink cardstock that was covered with clear Crackle Paint.

Und natürlich wollte ich Euch nicht nur mit einer Karte "abspeisen" und habe ein kleines Geschenk-Set gemacht, zu dem auch diese Babyflasche gehört:

Also this time I wanted to show you more than "just a card" and made a little gift set that also includes this little baby bottle:


Sie ist aus Cardstock gebastelt und mit dem selben Papier, das ich auch auf der Karte verwendet habe, überzogen. Auch bei den Embellishments habe ich dieselben verwendet, damit alles schön zusammen paßt. Den gewellten Rand am Deckel der Flasche habe ich mit Hilfe eines Paper Crimpers gemacht, den Silikon-Sauger habe ich auf das obere Stück einer Plastik-Flasche gesetzt. Und der süße Schnuller "I love mama" ist noch von meinen Mädels :O) (Er ist noch unbenutzt, da meine Mädels das Silikon nicht mochten aber natürlich kaufe ich einen neuen wenn ich das Set verschenke.)

It is made from cardstock that I covered with the same paper that was used on the card. I also added the same embellishments as on the card to make the pieces match each other. The rim of the top part of the bottle was made using a paper crimper, the teat is put on a piece of a plastic bottle. And that cute pacifier "I love mama" is one my girls had when they were little :O) (It´s still unused since my girls didn´t like that silicone but of course I will add a new one once I give this set away.)

Ich habe einen Rahmen um das Motiv gesetzt sowie den Spruch "you make me smile".

Ich hoffe, Euch hat mein Set gefallen! Jetzt wird es aber Zeit, Euch zum nächsten Halt auf unserer Reise zu schicken: Rosette. Aber vorher verrate ich Euch noch, daß es die Stempel ab heute zum Vorbestellen bei Belles´n´Whistles gibt, der Versand beginnt am 22. Juni. Allerdings ist der Shop vom 23. Juni bis 5. Juli geschlossen sein. In dieser Zeit werden keine Bestellungen angenommen - aber alle vorher aufgegebenen Bestellungen werden noch versendet. Und natürlich wird es auch bei mir diesen und alle anderen Stempel aus der neuen Kollektion geben.
