Magnolia Down Under - surprise for Louise

Herzlich willkommen an diesem Sonntag Morgen!

Es gibt wieder eine neue Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under - und diese Woche ist sie ganz besonders. Unser liebes DT-Mitglied Louise erwartet jeden Tag ihr zweites Kind. Wir alle würden gerne bei ihr sein, um eine Babyparty für sie zu schmeißen. Aber da das nicht möglich ist, geben wir eine virtuelle Babyparty auf dem Magnolia Down Under Blog! Und als Thema haben wir daher diesmal ein Inspirationsfoto und das Thema "Baby" ausgewählt.

There's a new challenge up over at Magnolia Down Under - and this week it is a very special one. Our wonderful DT member Louise is expecting her second baby any day now. We all would love to be with her and throw a baby shower for her. But since it is impossible we are doing a cyber baby shower over at Magnolia Down Under! As our new theme we picked an inspiration picture and the theme of "baby".

Ich habe eine Box verziert. Da Louise ein Mädchen erwartet, habe ich mich natürlich an die klassische rosa-weiß Kombi gehalten. Oben auf der Box prangt Summer Flower Tilda.

I decorated a box for her. Since Louise is expecting a baby girl I went with the classical white and pink theme. On top of the box is Summer Flower Tilda.

 

Neben Blumen, Spitze und Band habe ich mit den Buchstabenperlen von Whiff Of Joy das Wort BABY auf die Box geklebt. Und eine schöne Deko-Ecke aus Metall durfte auch nicht fehlen.

Beside some flowers, lace and ribbon I used those pearls by Whiff Of Joy to write the word BABY. And I also added a wonderful corner embellishment.

Die Seiten der Box habe ich mit Bordüre und gekräuselter Spitze verziert, geschlossen wird sie mit einem Organzaband.

The sides of the box are decorated with a border and some crinkled lace. The box gets closed with some organza ribbon.

Louise hat ja bereits eine Tochter - Signe. Und da ich als selbst große Schwester weiß, wie schwer es sein kann, wenn sich plötzlich alles um das neue Baby dreht, habe ich für sie eine passende kleine Box mitgemacht. Auch hier habe ich die Summer Flower Tilda verwendet, allerdings als Mini. Und dazu den Text "Glückwunsch, dass Du eine große Schwester geworden bist" mit dem Computer geschrieben.

Louise already has a daughter - Signe. I am a big sister on my own and I know how it can feel if everything is about the new baby so I made Signe a small matching box. I also used Summer Flower Tilda for it, but used the Mini here. The text "congrats on becoming a big sister" has been computer generated.

Auch diese Box wird mit einer Organzaschleife geschlossen.

Eine Eisfee im Sommer

Hallo und schönen Dienstag!
Wie jede Woche, zeige ich Euch auch heute eine Karte mit einem der süßen Stempel von Sugar Nellie. Und diesmal habe ich "I Grant You One Wish" verwendet. Auch wenn Sommer ist, die Schneeflocken und der frostige Look haben mich zumindest etwas abgekühlt.

Hello and happy tuesday!
As every week I am sharing a card using one of those cute stamps by Sugar Nellie. And this week I went with "I Grant You One Wish". Even if it's summer outside - those snowflakes and the frosty look cooled me down a bit.

Ich habe das Motiv hier zweimal gestempelt - einmal nur die Flügel in blau-grau-grün, und darüber dann den Rest des Motives mit schwarzer Farbe. Vorher habe ich so genau wie möglich die schwarze Tinte von allen Flügel-Linien abgewischt. Ich gebe zu, ich brauchte zwei Versuche, aber das Ergebnis war es wert!
Natürlich durften ein paar große Schneeflocken und Eiskristalle als Deko nicht fehlen.

I stamped this image twice - first I only inked up the wings with a blue-grey-green-ish color and then added the rest of the image with black ink. Before I removed as acurat as possible all the black ink from the wings' lines. I admit, I needed two tries but the result was definately worth it!
Of course I had to add some snowflakes and sparkling ice crystals as decoration.

Nora mit Frühlingsvögelchen heißt der Stempel, den ich hier verwendet habe. Er gehört nicht mir, sondern eine meiner Töchter hatte ihn sich auf dem Stempel-Mekka gekauft. Aber ich mußte ihn einfach mal ausleihen...
Und auch der Text/die Banner sind von Whiff of Joy: Banner Texte. Ich finde die prima, denn sie passen irgendwie immer.

Nora with Singbirds is the name of this stamps. It's not mine - one of my daughter bought it at a stamp fair but I just had to borrow it...

The card I am going to share now was made for the Copic Marker Europe blog.

Ich wollte die süße Jester Tilda von Magnolia schon längst verwenden, aber irgendwie war immer etwas anderes oder sie paßte nicht zum Thema oder.... Aber jetzt!
Da ich nicht weiß, ob es eine "offizielle" Farbkombi für Hofnarren gibt, es mit zu quietschigen Farben ja eh nicht habe, habe ich grün und blau kombiniert. "Grün und Blau ist dem Hanswurst seine Frau" hieß es immer, das kann für einen Hofnarren doch nur passen, oder?
Dazu habe ich etwas gelb-gold kombiniert, sogar zwei farblich und thematisch passende Glöckchen habe ich mit auf die Karte gepackt. Der Text ist dann mit dem Computer geschrieben.

I wanted to use the cute Jester Tilda by Magnolia since ages but well, I had to use something else or it didn't match the theme or... But now I did!
I don't know if there is any "official" color combo for a Jester's costume but since I don't like too bright color combinations I went with green and blue. Here we have a saying that I can't translate but it says that green and blue are only worn by "simple people". So this can't be bad for a jester, right?
I added some golden yellow to those colors and also included two little golden jingles on the card. The saying has been printed with my computer.

Ich habe meine Tasche aus doppelseitigem Papier gemacht und mit einer Mini-Tilda dekoriert. Innen befindet sich noch ein Text von Stampin' Up - und auf diesen Bildern könnt Ihr auch die kleine Box erkennen:

I made my bag from doublesided paper and put a mini Tilda on the front. On the inside I place a text stamp by Stampin' Up - and on the following pics you can also see the box inside:

Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday. Diesmal haben wir ein einfaches Thema für Euch: anything goes.

It's time for a new challenge over at Cute Card Thursday. This week we have an easy theme for you: anything goes.

Ich habe die neuen Stempel von Magnolia bisher viel zu wenig benutzt - und darum Lili the Dragon für meine heutige Karte hervorgeholt. Es ist ja so eine Sache - wann paßt so ein Drache wirklich? Na, auf eine Baby-Karte, habe ich mir gedacht und darum diese Karte gewerkelt. Die Grundform der Karte habe ich mit der Cricut zusammengefügt und geschnitten (die kommt auch viel zu selten zum Einsatz). Dazu dann der Drache als Deko, ein Babyflaschen- und Schnullercharm, Sterne (Spellbinders) und ein kleines Waschetikett. Die kleinen Buchstaben sind mit der Big Shot gestanzt. So, jetzt muss mein Bruder nur noch einen Sohn bekommen... LOL

I didn't use many of the stamps from Magnolia's new collection - and so I brought out Lily the Dragon for today's card. Well, where do dragons fit? On a baby card, that's what I thought, and so decided to make this one. The letters have been welded and cut with my Cricut (another item I am not using enough). As decoration I added the little dragon, a baby bottle and a pacifier charm, stars (cut with Spellbinders) and a little information about caring. The small letters have been cut with the Big Shot. And now I hope my brother will have a little boy... LOL

Bei uns ist der Fasching gestern leider ausgefallen - zumindest für mich, denn Natascha ist krank. Pia und Vjelisa haben es dafür so richtig krachen lassen, bis spät in den Abend hinein. Naja, und von meinem Mann reden wir mal lieber erst gar nicht.... ;)

Nun aber zum Alltag, denn natürlich gibt es auch am Rosenmontag eine neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Diesmal sollt Ihr bitte Euren Lieblingsstempel benutzen.

I didn't get any of the carnival fun yesterday - Natascha got sick. But Pia and Vjelisa went out till late in the evening - not to talk about my dear husband.... ;)

Today there is a new challenge starting over at Stamps&Fun=Creativity and this week we ask you to use your favourite stamps.

Das mit den Lieblingsstempeln ist so eine Sache.... Nicht nur, dass es total von der Tageslaune abhängt - wie könnte ich einen meiner Stempel nicht mögen? Aber dieser hier, den es früher von Sugar Nellie und nun wieder von Belles'n'Whistles gibt, gehört zu meinen All-Time-Favourites. Und heute war mir genau nach diesem Stempel und Frühlingslaune.

Well, to pick my favourite stamp is impossible. Not only does it depend on my mood that day - but how could I not like one of my stamps? But this one - it was made by Sugar Nellie earlier and is now re-released by Belles'n'Whistles - is one of my all time favourites. And today this one was the right one to pick.

Ich habe diesmal keine Karte, sondern ein Cover für ein Rezeptbuch gemacht. Ich denke, jeder kennt diese Lieblingsrezepte, die auf losen Zetteln in immer anderen Büchern stecken und dann irgendwann verschwunden sind. Und das will ich vermeiden und alles sauber in einem Rezeptbuch eintragen. Der Anfang ist mit dem Cover gemacht.... ;)
Das Motiv ist "Pizza Time" von Belles'n'Whistles, Gabel und Messer sind von Magnolia.
Die Rezeptkarte und das "from the kitchen of" sind von Stampin'Up.

I didn't make a card this time but a cover for a recipe book. I guess you all know those favourite recipes you wrote on loose sheets of papers and that can be found in a different book each time you look for them - only to be lost one day. I want to avoid that and so I have plans to make  a recipe book. The start is made with this cover.... ;)

Eine neue Woche - eine neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Diesmal mit einem Rezept für Euch:
1 Designpapier, Glitzer, Spitze.

Hello dear ones!
A new week - and a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. This week we have a recipe for you to follos:
1 designer's paper, glitter, lace.

Ich habe danach eine monochrome Karte "gekocht". Vom Designpapier habe ich zwei Stücke (selbes Design) verwendet, dazu etwas echtes Notenpapier und eine gestempelte Postkarte, dazu noch ein embosstes Stück Cardstock. Damit war der für mich schwerste Teil geschafft!LOL Glitzer und Spitze ließen sich dann leicht integrieren. Neben den Glitzersteinchen habe ich auch noch Glimmer Mist über den Schnörkel gesprüht.

I "cooked up" a monochromatic card. I used two pieces of the same designer's paper, some real note paper, a stamped postcard and a piece of embossed cardstock. With these the hardest part of "1 designer's paper" was done. Lace and glitter were easy to add. Beside the rhinestones I also added some Glimmer Mist to the swirl.

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Es ist der letzte Samstag im Monat und somit Zeit für eine neue Challenge beim Stempeleinmaleins. Und das ist der Sketch des Monats:

Hello over there! It´s the last saturday of the month and so it´s time for a new challenge over at Stempeleinmaleins. And this is the sketch of this month:



Ich habe ein Motiv von Belles´n´Whistles verwendet: "A Blossom For You". Irgendwie verselbständigt sich mein Stil momentan ein wenig und jetzt war mir mal wieder nach einer vintage Karte. Auf die Idee mit dem Filmstreifen ist mein Mann gekommen - ganz spontan als er den Sketch gesehen hat.

I used an image by Belles´n´Whistles: A Blossom For You. Somehow my style is changing at the moment without me wanting it to - so for today I made a vintage styled card again. The idea of the film strip behind the image is something my husband came up with when he saw the sketch.

Belles´n´Whistles Challenge "wing it"

Hallo Ihr Lieben - hier bin ich schon wieder. Denn auch bei Belles´n´Whistles haben wir heute eine neue Challenge für Euch. Das Thema lautet "wing it" - es soll also etwas mit Flügeln sein. Schmetterlinge, Feen, was immer Euch dazu einfällt.

Hello dear ones - here I am back again. Also at Belles´n´Whistles we have a new challenge up for you. The theme is "wing it" so include some wings on your card - butterflies, fairies, whatever you can think of.

Ich habe gleich zwei Stempel benutzt: Sweet Dreams und Fairy Wishes. Die kleine Fee habe ich ihrer Torte beraubt, dafür küßt sie jetzt sanft die schlafende Belle. Dazu habe ich dann mit dem Computer den Text "sweet dreams" ausgedruckt.

I used two stamps here: Sweet Dreams and Fairy Wishes. I stole this poor fairy her yummy birhtday cake but let her kiss this little sleeping cutie. The text "sweet dreams" is computer generated.

Hallo und schönen Montag Morgen! Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Und diesmal haben wir das Thema Freunde ausgesucht. Schließlich braucht man keinen Grund, um einem Freund für seine Freundschaft zu danken.

Hello and happy monday morning! It´s time for another challenge over at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. This week we picked the theme of friendship since you don´t really need a reason to thank someone for his friendship.

Mir war nach dezenten Farben... Ich habe das Motiv auf kraftfarbenen Cardstock gestempelt und es nur stellenweise coloriert, dazu ein paar Highlights in weiß gesetzt. Ich finde, das verleiht dem Motiv einen besonderen Touch. Auf das fast schon obliatorische Distressen habe ich verzichtet um nicht vom zarten Motiv abzulenken.

Meine Karte paßt auch zu diesen Challenges:
