Sea you soon

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
Today I am sharing a card I haven't shared anwhere yet. I made for Stamping-Fairies' idea group over on Facebook. And since it's summer I went maritime.

Also musste das "I need to" weichen. ;)

Here I've used Distress Inks to add the clouds and waves to a piece of white cardstock. I used the Mini Clouds Stencil for the clouds and die cut one of the Ocean Waves dies by MFT from a piece of copy paper to create my own waves stencil. Doing it this way I was able to cut the piece of Vellum, that is sitting behind the window, matching exactly.
From this background I've then die cut a long rectangle as a window.
The saying is part of a text from the Mer-Mazing stamp set. I needed to cut off a part of it since it would have covered too much of my scene otherwise. So the "I need to" had to go. ;)

In this window I've created an ocean scene.
Of course there is the sandy ground at the bottom. There's a water plant growing there and a wooden post is put into the ground. The top of this post is out of the water.
The shark is one of the stamps from the Beach Buds stamp set. I'm not sure if he's just looking upwards friendly or if his look is a tad bit hungry.... ;) On top of the post a pelicane is sitting, with an octopus in his beak.
The images of this scene are partly glued down with dimensionals.
On top of the parts of the scene that are under water I've put the already mentioned Vellum. The top of this was die cut with the same wave die from the Ocean Waves die set, that I've also used to make my stencil. Now the images that are under water look a bit blurry, like they would in real life.
