Ja, in welchem Bundesland wohne ich wohl...

Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Dann lieber Bier! ;)

Hello everyone!
A friend of mine asked me to make a card for a friend's 75th birthday. "Something bavarian" - and yes, that's where I live -  was what she told me. She also wanted me to include the name. The other option would have been flowers since he loves those as well, but I was afraid the card would turn out too female-ish. So I've decided to better go with beer! ;)

The blue and white background mimics the bavarian flag. Since I don't have any bavarian designer's paper I've used the Harlekin Background by MFT here. Luckily there are blue ink pads! I've used some extremly smooth cardstock and a super juicy ink pad to create the background. That's why there are spots in the blue, but I like it that way.
Onto that "flag" I've put two matted pieces of brown cardstock and yellow designer's paper.

And here's the image.
The blue background with the rays is made with one of the dies from the Sun Burst die set by Avery Elle. It fits wonderfully for so many occasions since it makes a plain square much more interesting.
Then I've glued a doily and a circle from golden mirror cardstock in its middle. And now we finally get to the beer! The bottle is from the Bottles and Bubbles die set by StampinUp, the beer mug is from the Mixed Drinks stamp set. I've stamped the foam twice and glued the second one on top using dimensionals. To the handle I've tied a little tag with the name of the recipient. Onto the beer's label I've added a 75.
And to add some more clichee to my card I've also included three die cut Pretzels. It's made using the Cookies die by Marianne Design - and to be honest, I mainly bought it just because of the Pretzel it cuts!
In the end I've added a birthday greeting and a birthday banner - and this really manly and bavarian card was done.
