LawnFawnatics Challenge #169

Heute zeige ich Euch meine Karte für die LawnFawnatics Challenge #169. Das Thema lautet "inpsired by a book, movie or song". Bei mir war es definitiv "20000 Meilen unter dem Meer" - und hier nicht wirklich das Buch oder der Film an sich, sondern nur der Titel. Über den bin ich nämlich in der Fernsehzeitung gestolpert und dann war da auf einmal die Idee zu dieser Karte in meinem Kopf.

Today I am sharing with you the card I made for the LawnFawnatics Challenge #169. The theme is "inpsired by a book, movie or song". For me it was "20000 Leagues under the Sea" - and here not the actual movie but just the title. I came across it in a program list and then there was the idea for this card in my head.

Der Hintergrund ist aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks gemacht, den ich erst eher fleckig mit Distress Ink Scorched Timber gewischt habe. Dann habe ich das Kissen direkt leicht über den Cardstock gezogen und dann mit dem Yeti-Stempelkissen den Woodgrain Backdrop aufgestempelt. Den musste ich jeweils 3mal stempeln, damit er nicht zu hell wird - und auf der einen Seite bin ich dann beim letzten Abdruck verrutscht - bzw. hatte nicht gemerkt, dass ich den Cardstock im Misti bewegt hatte. Also habe ich dort doppelte Linien bei der Holzmaserung. Aber ich finde, das macht nichts, und der Hauptteil des Hintergrunds wird eh von Motiven und Text verdeckt. 

The background I made from a piece of white cardstock, that I first inked quite splotchy with Distress Ink Scorched Timber. Then I dragged the ink pad across the cardstock and used the Yeti ink pad to stamp the Woodgrain Backdrop on top. I had to stamp it three times each so it didn't turn out too light - and on the right side I hadn't realized that I had moved my cardstock in my Misti before doing the last impression. So I ended up with double lines there. But I don't think it's that bad, and most of the background is covered by the image and text anyway.

Ihr seht es schon, hier versteckt sich wieder ein Give-it-a-Whirl-Element. Das erste Motiv zeigt eine Sonnenuntergangsszene am Meer. 

Ich habe die Sonne aus dem Set Beachy Christmas mit gelber Tinte auf den ausgestanzten Kreis gestempelt und dann das Innere der Sonne mit Masking Tape abgedeckt. Außerdem habe ich den Leuchtturm und den Sandboden aus dem Set Life is Good abgestempelt - dabei habe ich den unteren Teil des Kreises abgedeckt. damit der Leuchtturm niedriger wird und die Insel im Meer zu schwimmen scheint. Dann habe ich erst den Himmel und dann das Wasser jeweils mit Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey und Black Soot gewischt. 

Den Leuchtturm und die Insel habe ich anschließend mit einem schwarzen Copic komplett eingefärbt. Auf das Meer habe ich einige Wellen mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt und an den Himmel zwei Möwen, ebenfalls aus dem Set Life is Good, abgestempelt. 

Rund um den Mechanismus habe ich den größten der Porthole Frames gesetzt. Den habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Die Schrauben bestehen aus kleinen, ebenfalls mit Copics colorierten Kreisen. 

Den zwischen Szene 1 und Rahmen sichtbaren Ring des unteren Teils des Mechanismus habe ich schwarz eingefärbt. Und den Tab zum Drehen habe ich aus gelbem Cardstock gestanzt und mit den selben Distress-Farben etwas schattiert. 

You can already see it, I again added a Give-it-a-Whirl element here. The first image shows a sundown scene at the ocean.

I stamped the sun from the Beachy Christmas set with yellow ink onto the cut out circle and then masked off the center of the sun. I also stamped the lighthouse and sandy ground from the Life is Good set, masking off the lower half of the circle to make the lighthouse less tall and the ground look like an island. Then I inked the circle - the sky first, then the ocean - with Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey and Black Soot. 

I used a black Copic marker to color the lighthouse and island a solid black. Onto the ocean I drew some waves with a white gel pen and stamped two seagulls, also from the Life is Good set, onto the sky.

Around the mechanism I glued the largest of the Porthole Frames die. I cut it from white cardstock and colored it with Copics, then added screws made from small die cut circles colored with Copics.

The visible ring between the frame and the first scene I colored black, too. The little tab to turn the mechanism I die cut from yellow cardstock and lightly shaded it with the same Distress colors.

 

Unter  dem Kreis mit den Motiven war dann Platz für meinen Text. Ich war mir nicht ganz sicher, was ich hier wie gestalten wollte - und bin dann über den süßen Hummer aus dem Set You Are Sublime gestolpert. Der sieht doch aus wie ein L.... Also habe ich mich für ein Hello entschieden - mit zwei Hummern als L.  Die übrigen Buchstaben habe ich mit dem Finley's ABCs Set gestanzt und wieder mit den Distress Inks schattiert. Die Hummer sind außerdem ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert.

Darunter befindet sich ein kleiner Untertext aus dem Set Mermaid for You. Ich habe es mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Die Enden dieses schwarzen Cardstockstreifens habe ich dann mit einigen Unterwassenpflanzen aus dem Set You are Sublime versteckt.

Under the circle with the images I had room for my text. I wasn't sure what I wanted to write there - and then came across the cute lobster from the You Are Sublime set. Hm, it kind of looks like an L... So I went with a "hello" and used two lobsters as the Ls. The other letters I die cut with the Finley's ABCs die set and again inked them with Distress Ink. Onto the lobsters I added a bit of Stickles.

Under the word hello I added a "sea you soon" from the Mermaid for You set as a subtext. I whit heat embossed it onto a strip of black cardstock and used some underwater plants from the You Are Sublime set to hide the ends.

Der Give it a Whirl Mechanismus muss ja mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt werden, damit er funktioniert. Also habe ich auch den Text damit befestigt. Ich habe alles mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt, nur hinter den Hummern befindet sich dickes 3D Tape, so dass sie die selbe Höhe wie das Bullauge haben.

The Give it a Whirl mechanism needs to be adhered with foam tape to make it work. So I used some to attach my text, too. I put thin foam tape behind everything, only behind the lobsters I put some thick foam tape to make the same height as the porthole.

Wenn man das Bullauge öffnet, also den Mechanismus betätigt, taucht man ab in die Tiefen des Meeres. Und dort sieht man neben jede Menge Meeresbewohnern auch ein U-Boot und einen Taucher....

 

When you turn the mechanism to open the porthole, then the journey into the deep sea starts.. And there are not only a lot of sea critters but also a u-boat and a diver.... 

Hier habe ich viele Motive, hauptsächlich aus dem Set You Are Sublime, kombiniert. Die kleinen Fische sind aus den Sets Mermaid for You und Mermaid for You FlipFlop, aus dem Mermaid for You Set ist auch der kleine Seestern. Die Qualle habe ich im Set Ocean Shell-Fie gefunden. 

Ich habe die Szene mittels Masking zusammengesetzt und mit Copics coloriert. 

Here I combined a lot of images, mainly from the You Are Sublime set. The small fish are from the sets Mermaid for You and Mermaid for You FlipFlop, from the Mermaid for You I also used the starfish. The jelly fish I found in the Ocean Shell-Fie set.

I did some masking to put my scene together and colored it with Copics.
