Heute zeige ich Euch eine Geburtstagkarte, auf der ich in letzter Sekunde noch das Hauptelement des März-Rezeptes von Create a Smile eingebaut habe.

Today I am sharing with you this birthday card, that I decided last minute to add the main element of the march card recipe by Create a Smile.
Neben dem März-Rezept habe ich auch einige Produkte aus dem März-Release von Create a Smile verwendet - kombiniert mit älteren Produkten.
Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück hellgrünen Cardstocks, auf den ich mit Distress Ink Pumice Stone den Hurra-Stencil aufgewischt habe. Außerdem habe ich mit derselben Farbe die Ränder ein klein wenig abgedunkelt und dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.
Besides following the march recipe I also used some of the products from the march release by Create a Smile - mixed with some older products.
The background is made from a piece of light green cardstock, that I stenciled the word hooray onto using the new Hurra stencil and Distress Ink Pumice Stone. I used the same ink to darken the edges of the cardstock a bit and then splattered some white acrylic paint onto it.
Mit dem Wimpelketten-Stencilset und Distress Ink Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn und Rustic Wilderness habe ich dann zwei grüne Partygirlanden auf den oberen Teil des Cardstocks gewischt. Die Schnur habe ich mit einem grauen Fineliner dazugemalt. Außerdem habe ich einen mittelgrauen Copicmarker benutzt und damit Schatten auf die linke Seite jedes Wimpels gemalt. So wirkt alles drei-dimensionaler. Die Karte wäre nämlich fast eine One-Layer-Card geworden. Aber dann habe ich mich umentschieden....
Using the Wimpelketten stencil set and Distress Ink Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness I inked two party banners onto the top of the cardstock. I used a grey fineliner to add the string. I also used a mid-grey Copic to draw a shadow line on the left side of each banner. This make the scene look more dimensional. This card nearly ended up as a one layer card. But then I changed my mind....

Der süße Hippo mit der Tröte ist aus dem Set Dicke Party. Ich wollte unbedingt, dass er Musik trötet und ihn dafür mit dem Radio Rock Stempelset kombinieren. Dafür schaute er aber in die falsche Richtung. Also habe ich ihn per Mirror Stamping "umgedreht". Da ich die Stempellinien beim Spiegeln von Motiven nie wirklich klar hinbekomme und sie auch nicht nachmalen wollte, habe ich dafür das NoLine Coloring Stempelkissen von InkOn3 verwendet und den Hippo dann in NoLine Technik mit Copics coloriert. Highlights und einge Details habe ich dann mit einem weißen Gelstift dazugemalt und habe das Motiv ausgeschnitten.
Aus grauem Cardstock habe ich mit den Shadows and Flowers Stanzen einen Schatten gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Copics etwas schattiert. Dann habe ich den Hippo daraufgeklebt.
Und dann kam das Element aus dem März-Rezept hinzu: es ist der aus mehreren Stanzteilen zusammengesetzte und so plastisch gearbeitete Ballon. Im Rezept ist das ein Hauptelement und ein Osterei. Ich habe die Luftballonstanze aus dem Double Stitched DinLang Set benutzt und einige Ballons aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt. Der Luftballon ist nicht symmetrisch, also habe ich jedes zweite Stanzteil auf den Kopf gelegt, so dass der Ballon nicht unförmig wird. Dann habe ich ein Stück weißes Twine von hinten daran befestigt und das andere Ende durch einen Schlitz entlang des Arms des Hippos gesteckt. Außerdem habe ich eine Schleife unten am Ballon angebunden.
The cute hippo with the party whistle is from the Dicke Party stamp set. I really wanted him to make music with his whistle and combine him with the Radio Rock stamp set. But for that he was looking in the wrong direction. So I turned him by doing some mirror stamping. Since I never get crisp lines when mirroring an image and also didn't want to re-draw them I used the NoLine Coloring Ink Pad by InkOn3 and then colored the hippo in NoLine Technique with Copics. I added some highlights and details with a white gel pen and cut the image out.
From grey cardstock I die cut a shadow with one of the dies from the Shadows and Flowers set and shaded it with Copics. Then I glued the hippo onto it.
And then I decided to add an element using the march recipe: it's the balloon put together from different die cuts that becomes dimensional. In the recipe this is the main element of a card and there Christine did an easter egg. I used the balloon die from the Double Stitched DinLang set and cut a few balloons from dark green cardstock. The balloon die cut isn't symmetrical so I turned every other balloon on its face so the finished balloon won't look wonky. I glued a piece of white twine to its back and put the other end through a slit that I cut along the hippo's arm. I also tied a bow from another piece of twine that I had wrapped around the bottom of the balloon.
Direkt auf den Hintergrund habe ich dann mit grauer Tinte erst die Notenlinien aus dem Radio Rock gestempelt und dahinein dann mit dunkelgrüner Tinte den Text. Außerdem habe ich ein paar Noten dazugestempelt. Den Hippo habe ich so davor geklebt, dass die Musik aus der Tröte kommt.
Directly onto the background I stamped the staves from the Radio Rock set with grey ink and then stamped the text with dark green ink on top. I also added a few music notes. The hippo is glued down in a position that makes it look like the music is coming from his whistle.
Den Hippo samt Schatten habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt und dann drumherum einige Sterne verteilt. Für die habe ich wieder Stanzen aus dem Double Stitched DinLang Set verwendet. Sie sind aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und leicht mit Stickles beglittert. Davon habe ich dann auch ein wenig auf die Tröte und den Partyhut aufgetragen.
Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
The hippo and shadow I adhered with thin foam tape and thenput a few stars around him. I used dies from the Double Stitched DinLang die set again to cut them from dark green cardstock, then put a bit of Stickles onto them. I also added some to the whistle and party hat.
Then I attached everything to a white note card.
