I Carrot 'bout You

Heute zeige ich Euch eine weitere Karte mit Stempeln und Stanzen aus dem neuen Release von LawnFawn. Das war ja ein recht großes - und wie immer grandioses - Release und so gibt es so einiges, das eingeweiht werden möchte. Diesmal habe ich eine Platform Pop-Up Karte gemacht.

Today I am sharing with you another card using stamps and dies from the latest release by LawnFawn. It's been a quite large - and as always amazing - release and so there's quite some stuff that wants to get used. This time I made a Platform Pop-Up card.

Auch bei dieser Karte spielen Karotten eine Rolle. Die mag ich das ganze Jahr über, aber zum Frühling passen sie besonders gut. 

Die Platform Pop-Up Card habe ich mit der Basis-Stanze von LawnFawn gemacht - den vorderen Teil aus braunem, den hinteren aus grünem Cardstock. Dann habe ich den neuen Platform Pop-Up Picket Fence Wrap Around aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Copics coloriert und außen rundherum aufgeklebt. Dabei habe ich das Zaunelement an der Vorderseite der Karte weggeschnitten, damit der Blick in den Garten nicht behindert wird.

Die Kanten von zwei Streifen hellgrünen Cardstocks habe ich oben mit einer Grasstanze gestanzt und die Streifen von unten mit etwas Distress Ink Mowed Lawn gewischt. Dann habe ich einen Mix aus grüner und goldener Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt und nach dem Trocknen den Streifen so rund um die Basis der Box geklebt, dass das Gras direkt unterhalb des Zaunes startet.

Again carrots are a theme on this card. I love them all year long but they go so great with spring.

I used the Platform Pop-Up base die to cut the card - the front half from brown, the back from green cardstock. Then I used the new Platform Pop-Up Picket Fence Wrap Around and cut it from white cardstock, shaded it with Copics and glued it around the outside of my platform. I cut off the fence of the front area so it isn't blocking the view inside the garden.

I used a grass border die to cut the top edge of two strips of light green cardstock and inked those strips at the bottom with some Distress Ink Mowed Lawn. Then I added spatters with a mix of green and gold metallic watercolor and after it had dried glued the strips around my platofrm, letting the grass end just under the fence.

 

 

 
 Entlang des oberen Rands habe ich dann einige kleine Blümchen verteilt. Die sind mit einer der Stanzen aus dem Build a Pumpkin Set aus lachsfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Copics schattiert und in den Blumenmitten mit gelb-braunem Cardstock hinterlegt. Dann habe ich sie runderhum entlang der Graskante aufgeklebt, mal auf dem Gras, mal zwischen Gras und Zaun. 

Vorne auf der Karte war auch Platz für meinen Text. Im Stempelset Carrot 'Bout You sind Stempel für den Text I Carrot 'Bout You enthalten, und den Text wollte ich gerne verwenden. Er war aber für die große Fläche vorne auf der Platform fast etwas zu klein und weitere Deko wollte ich nicht aufkleben. Also habe ich stattdessen das Wort Carrot mit Stempeln aus dem Set Henry's Jr.'s ABC und orangefarbener Tinte gestempelt, den Rest mit den bereits erwähnten Stempeln mit schwarzer Tinte. Entlang der orangefarbenen Linien habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner einen dünnen Schatten aufgemalt, dann habe ich die Textteile ausgeschnitten, auf die Vorderseite der Platform geklebt und mit zwei weiteren kleinen Blüten verziert. 

Along the top edge I planted some little flowers. I die cut them with a die from the Build a Pumpkin set from light salmon cardstock, shaded them with Copics and put some yellowish brown cardstock behind the flower centers. Then I glued them all around the grass edge, some on top of the grass, some tucked between the grass and the fence. 

On the front of my card there was room for my text. There are stamps included in the Carrot 'Bout You stamp set to create a I Carrot 'Bout You text and I really wanted to use that. But it seemed a bit lost on the big area of the platform front and I didn't want to add any other decorations there. So instead I stamped the word carrot with orange ink using stamps from the Henry's Jr.'s ABC, the rest of the text with black ink using said text stamps. Along the orange stamped lines I drew some thin shadows using a black fineliner, then I cut the text parts out and adhered them to the front of the platform, glueing two more little flowers beside it.

Im Garten selbst ist allerhand los - vorne befindet sich das Gemüsebeet, weiter hinten im Gras hat eine kleine Maus gerade einen besonders leckeren Karottendrink gemixt. Und ganz hinten wächst ein großer Baum. 

Die beiden Hügel, die als Auflagefläche für die Motive auf den vorderen Reihen dienen, habe ich aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Distress Ink Ground Espresso ein wenig gewischt und mit schwarzer und goldener Metallic Watercolor bespritzt. 

Die vordere Lage habe ich etwas niedriger geschnitten. Dort ist eine fleißige Gärtnerin damit beschäftigt, Unkraut im Karottenbeet zu jäten und außerdem neue Karotten in die sich lichtenden Reihen zu pflanzen. 

In der Reihe dahinter zeigt sich, warum die Gärtnerin für Nachschub sorgen muss. Dort schiebt eine zweite Maus eine volle Schubkarre gefüllt mir frisch geernteten Karotten. Die Motive hier sind, bis auf die Karotten aus dem Set Carrot 'Bout You, aus dem neuen Veggie Happy Set. Hinter der Gärnermaus habe ich auch noch Schild mit dem Text Carrot aufgestellt. 

There's a lot going on inside the garden - there's the veggie garden in the front, a bit further away, in the grass, a little mouse just created a very yummy looking carrot cocktail. And in the very back a large tree is growing.

The two hills, that provide room to adhere the images to the two front rows, I die cut from brown cardstock, inked them with a bit of Distress Ink Ground Espresso and flicked black and gold metallic watercolor onto them. 

The front hill I cut a bit smaller. There a gardener mouse is pretty busy pulling weeds from the carrot field and also planting new carrots since the empty spots are getting more and more.

In the row behind her you see the reason, why the gardener has to plant more carrots. There a second mouse is pushing a wheelbarrow, loaded fully with fresh picked carrots. All those images, except for the carrots from the Carrot 'Bout You set, are from the new Veggie Happy set. Behind the gardener mouse I also put up a sign saying "carrot".

Der Karottendrink war eigentlich, womit die ganze Karte gestartet ist. Er ist mit der Build a Drink Mason Jar Add-On Stanze gemacht und ist ein Shaker, den ich mit aus hellblauem Vellum gestanzten Eiswürfeln und kleinen orangefarbenen Kügelchen gefüllt. habe. Außerdem befindet sich als letzte Lage vor der hinteren Folie ein Stück rosafarbenes Vellum, das ich von unten her mit Distress Ink Ripe Persimmon gewischt habe. Durch das farbige Vellum ist der Drink nicht komplett durchsichtig, trotzdem kann man durch ihn hindurch die Elemente dahinter sehen.

The carrot drink was what started this whole card. I made it with the Build a Drink Mason Jar Add-On set. It is actually a shaker, that I filled with ice cubes die cut from light blue vellum and tiny orange beeds. I also put a layer of light pink vellum that I shaded with some Distress Ink Ripe Persimmon at the bottom inside the shaker, right as the last layer on top of the back acetate. By using the colored vellum, the drink isn't just plain clear but you can still see the elements in the back of the card through it. 

 

 

Oben auf dem Drink schwimmt ein dicker Sahnetupfen, in den eine Karotte und ein Strohhalm gesteckt sind. Die Teile habe ich alle aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert - die Karotte ist aus dem Set Stitched Garden Border, die Sahne aus dem Set Lovely Latte und der geknickte Strohhalm - bei dem Glas ist ein gerader Strohhalm enthalten - aus dem Set Build a Drink. Auf den Sahnetupfen habe ich mit Stempeln aus dem Pizza my Heart Set mit orangefarbener Tinte Streusel aufgestempelt und mit Glossy Accents überzogen. 

In diesem neuen Stanzenset ist auch ein kleiner Tag samt Schnur und Schleife enthalten. Ich habe den Tag ausgestanzt und aus dem All the Speech Bubbles Set ein "I made this for you" aufgestempelt. Schleife und Schnur habe ich aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt, der mich an Juteband erinnert. Die Teile habe ich oben an den den Rand des Glases geklebt. Auf die Schleife habe ich ein kleines rosafarbenes Herz geklebt.

 

I put a big cream puff onto the drink and stuck a carrot and a paper straw into it. I die cut all pieces from white cardstock and colored them with Copics - the carrot is from the Stitched Garden Border set, the cream puff from the Lovely Latte set and the bended straw - there's a straight one included in the new set - from the Build a Drink Set. Onto the cream puff I stamped some sprinkles with orange ink and a stamp from the Pizza my Heart set, then covered them with Glossy Accents.

In this new die set there's also a little tag with a string and a bow included. I die cut the tag and stamped a "I made this for you" from the All the Speech Bubbles set onto it. The string and the bow I die cut from brown cardstock that reminds me of twine, then I attached the pieces to the brim of the jar. I glued a small pink heart to the center of the bow.

Neben dem Drink steht die Maus, die ihn gerade gemacht hat. Sie ist aus dem Berry Special Set. Und damit sie auch an das Glas herankommt, steht sie auf dem Deckel des  Glases. Den habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Copics coloriert und für die metallische Optik dann dick mit einem Nuvo Shimmer Pen überzogen. Dadurch hat sich der Cardstock etwas gewellt und ich habe ihn mit einem weiteren Stanzeteil aus weißem Cardstock hinterlegt. 

Als Befestigung dient hier ein Streifen Gras, an dem, genauso wie am Ohr der Maus, weitere kleine Blumen befestigt sind. 

Next to the drink is standing the little mouse that created the drink. To be able to reach the top of the jar she's standing on the lid. I die cut that from white cardstock, colored it with Copics and put a thick layer of shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer Pen on top. Due to the moisture the paper warped and cinkled a bit so I backed it with another white die cut.

Here I die cut the grass strip to adhere the images to and added some more little flowers to it. One I also glued to the mouse's ear.

Und ganz hinten im Garten steht ein großer Baum, der an heißen Sommertagen Schatten spendet. Den habe ich mit einem der Baumstämme aus dem Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop gemacht und oben die Blätter mit Stanzen aus dem Treehouse Set angeklebt. Die habe ich aus zwei verschiedenen Grüntönen gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Mowed Lawn bzw. Pine Needles gewischt. Auch hier habe ich Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

Unten vor dem Baum befindet sich noch eine niedrige Lage Gras sowie einige weitere Blümchen.

And in the very back of the yard there's a large tree growing, that provides shadown on hot summer days. I made the tree with one of the trunks of the Lift the Flap Tree Backdrops and added the leaves using dies from the Treehouse set. I die cut them from two different shades of green cardstock and inked them with Distress Ink Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles. Again I flicked some Metallic Watercolor onto the leaves.

At the bottom of the tree I adhered a small layer of grass and some more flowers.
