Ich finde, nicht jede Karte muss zu einem bestimmten Anlass gemacht werden. Manchmal möchte man einfach nur Hallo sagen. Und dafür habe ich diese Karte gemacht.

I think, not every card has to be made for a special occasion. Sometimes all you want to say is "hello". This card was made to do so.
Für den Hintergrund habe ich die Chevron Cover-Up Stanze von MFT benutzt und sie einmal aus weißem, einmal aus schwarzem und einmal aus hell-türkis farbenem Cardstock gestanzt.
Zuerst habe ich die Zick-Zack-Linien des schwarzen Stanzteils in die Ausstanzungen im weißen Hintergrund geklebt, darauf kamen dann, leicht nach oben versetzt, die türkisfarbenen. Die habe ich zuvor teilweise mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina und Peacock Feathers etwas gewischt und auf alle mit weißer Stempelfarbe den Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Background von MFT aufgestempelt.
Und weil der Hintergrund mit weißem Rahmen irgendwie nicht fertig aussah, habe ich noch den des schwarzen Stanzteils ausgeschnitten und rundum aufgeklebt.
For the background I used the Chevron Cover-Up die by MFT and cut it once from white, once from black and once from light aqua cardstock.
I first glued the zig zag lines of the black die cut into their places in the white one, then put the aqua ones on top, moving them up a bit. Before I had inked some of the light aqua ones with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers and stamped the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Background by MFT with white ink onto all of them.
And since the background looked a bit unfinished with the white frame I cut the one from the black die cut out and adhered it onto the white one.
Das süße Krokodil aus dem Instagator Stempelset von WhimsyStamps, der so neugierig um die Ecke lugt, war perfekt für diese Karte. Ich habe ihn mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Den Bauch und die beiden Zacken oben am Kopf habe ich mit Stickles beglittert.
Neben dem Krokodil war Platz für einen Text aus dem selben Stempelset. Ich habe beim Stempeln die Anordnung von drei- auf einzeilig geändert und ihn weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.
The cute crocodile from the Instagator stamp set by WhimsyStamps, that is peaking so curiously around the edge of the cardstock, was perfect for this card. I colored it with Copics and cut it out. Onto the belly and the two peaks on his head I put some Stickles.
Next to the crocodile there was room for a text. It's from the same stamp set - while stamping I changed it from three lines to one line and white heat embossed it onto black cardstock.
Oben auf der Karte habe ich ein großes hello untergebracht. Das habe ich mit einer der Hello-Stanzen von MFT aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Twisted Citron und Mowed Lawn nach oben hin auslaufend gewischt. Für die Highlights habe ich wieder Stickles verwendet.
Zusätzlich habe ich das hello einmal aus schwarz-weiß gestreiftem Designpapier und dreimal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Diese Teile habe ich aufeinander- und dann als Schattenlage hinter das gewischte Wort gesetzt.
Auf meinem Schreibtisch lag noch ein aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzter Kreis - den habe ich hinter das hello gesetzt, da es sonst fast ein wenig auf dem doch eher unruhigen Hintergrund untergegangen wäre.
Onto the top of the card I've glued a big hello. I die cut it with one of MFT's hello dies from white cardstock and inked it with Distress Ink Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn, letting the color fade out towards the top. I added some highlights with Stickles.
I also die cut the hello once from black and white striped patterned paper and three times from white cardstock. I stacked those die cuts and glued them as a shadow layer behind the inked word.
I had a circle, cut from black cardstock, laying on my desk and glued it behind the hello, because it was kind of getting lost on the quite busy background.
Da das gestanzte Wort im oberen Teil der Karte doch etwas höher war, habe ich den embossten Text mit dünnem, das Krokodil mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt, um auch im unteren Teil der Karte etwas Dimension zu haben. Dann habe ich grüne Pailetten als Deko auf der Karte verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
Since the die cut word in the top area of the card was pretty thick, I used thin foam tape to adhere the embossed text and thick foam tape behind the crocodile, to add some dimension to the bottom of the card as well. Then I added some green sequins as decoration and attached the card panel to a white card base.
