Ich habe wieder eines der tollen Motive von Mo Manning verwendet - "Needs Mummy" heißt es. Ich verwendet selten Jungs-Stempel außer auf Bestellung oder als Challenge-Thema, aber dieses hier mußte einfach sein!

I went with another of the gourgeous stamps by Mo Manning - "Needs Mummy" is what this one is called. I rarely use boys stamps without it being a challenge theme or a request but this was a must have from the moment I first saw it!

Hallo und wunderschönen Mittwoch Ihr Lieben! Sorry, daß es hier gestern nichts zu sehen gab aber ich hatte die fixe Idee mein Bastelzimmer etwas umbauen zu müssen und habe den Tag bei Ikea und anschließend mit dem Schraubenzieher verbracht. Und es gibt noch jede Menge zu tun....

Hello and happy wednesday! Sorry for not having had a new card to share with you yesterday but I woke up with the idea of having to change a few things in my craft room and so I went to Ikea and passed the afternoon and evening putting that new stuff together. And theres still a lot to do...

Heute startet die neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy - diesmal mit einem Rezept: 3 Knöpfe, 2 Papiere, 1 Band. Ähm, dem aufmerksamen Betrachter mag auffallen, daß hier 3 Papiere benutzt wurden. Ja, ich hatte das Rezept irgendwie gemixt und dachte es wären 3 Papiere und 2 Knöpfe. Der 3. Knopf war schnell aufgebracht, aber das Papier konnte ich einfach nicht komplett abdecken. Verzeiht mir also!

Today a new challenge over at Whiff Of Joy is starting - and we´re having a recipe for you: 3 buttons, 2 papers, 1 ribbon. Well, you might notice that I used 3 papers... When I made this card I was somehow mixing up the recipe and thought it was 3 papers and 2 buttons. It was easy to add a 3rd button but I just wasn´t able to cover all of the 3rd paper. Please forgive me!

Wunderschönen Freitag! Während Ihr das hier lest liege ich im Sand am Palmenstrand und höre dem Rauschen der Wellen zu.... Leider "nur" im Tropical Island, einem großen Schwimmbad, und nicht wirklich in der Südsee. Aber es wird bestimmt ein toller Kurzurlaub.

Happy friday! While you´re reading this I am lying in the sand at a beach full of palm trees and am listening to the sound of the waves... Unfortunately "only" at Tropical Island, a huge pool area, and not on a real tropical beach far away. But I am sure it will be a wonderful trip.

Nun, nachdem Ihr die letzten Tage schon keinen Post von mir bekommen habt, gibt es zumindest heute einen - denn es ist Freitag und somit mein Tag für den Inspirational Post auf dem Simply Sassy Blog.

Und um Euch schon mal einen kleinen Vorgeschmack darauf zu geben, was Euch erwartet gab es schon die ganze Woche auf dem Simply Sassy Blog kleine Vorschauen auf die Stempel. Und heute darf ich nun! Happy friday to all of you! Today I have a little sneak peak for you. From tomorrow on and only at Funkykits there will be 5 new Simply Sassy stamps and of course we have to celebrate this new release with a blog hop. Well, since we love those images that much and weren´t able to wait until tomorrow there were sneak peaks all week long, posted at the Simply Sassy blog. And today it´s finally my turn to show you a little something! I am proud to present you: Tammy!

Ich weiß, die meisten - mich eingeschlossen - dürften inzwischen die Nase ziemlich voll von Schnee und Kälte haben und sich nach dem Frühling sehnen. Aber als ich dieses Motiv gestempelt und coloriert habe, habe ich mich daran erinnert, warum we auch den Winter so gerne mögen: wegen all den "coolen Dingen" die er bringt - und der Möglichkeit während eines Nachmittags voll Spaß einen kleinen, frostigen Freund zu bauen. Und auch wenn diese Freundschaft in den meisten Fällen nur von sehr kurzer Dauer ist, so ist doch jede Minute wertvoll und willkommen.

Well, I guess I am not the only one being sick of snow and frost and cold temperatures. But when I stamped that image I knew immediately why we love winter: because of all the "cool stuff" it brings and because of the possibility to create a frosty little friend during a fun afternoon in the snow. And even if that friendship most times won´t last long - every single minute together is enjoyed.

Happy saturday! It´s time for a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins and this week we have the tutorial for how to make this cake card - finally since so many of you asked for it.

Natürlich habe ich es mir nicht nehmen lassen, eine neue Karte dafür zu machen. Dies ist die Front:

Dies ist eine etwas vereinfachte Variante mit nur einer Kerze. Die braucht dann auch keine Box sondern kann einfach mit etwas Band in der Karte befestigt werden.

This is a little simpler version with just one candle. And you don´t need a box for it but it´s enough to fix it with some ribbon.

Schönen Donnerstag! Heute habe ich eine recht einfache Karte für Euch - dafür mit ganz viel Blüten, fröhlichen Farben und viel Frühling! Damit paßt sie auch zur Challenge bei Lovely Hänglar Only, die das Thema colors of spring, also Frühlingsfarben, ausgesucht haben.

Happy thursday! Today I have a quite simple card for you - but it´s made with a lot of tiny flowers, happy colors and a lot of spring feeling! And so it also fits perfectly into the challenge over at Lovely Hänglar Only: colors of spring.

Bei Sir Stampalot heißt es "all creatures great and small" - also alle möglichen Kreaturen. Mir fiel spontan dieser Stempel von Hänglar ein. Ich habe die Flügel noch einmal extra auf Folie gestempelt, beglittert und etwas abstehend als zweite Lage aufgeklebt.

At Sir Stampalot the theme is "all creatures great and small". This cute stamp by Hänglar came to my mind. I stamped the wings a second time on transparency, added some Stickles and put them on top of the image as a second layer.

Auf geht´s in Runde 2

Wunderschönen Donnerstag Euch allen! Oh bin ich aufgeregt - ich habe es in Runde 2 der Simply Sassy Competition bei Sugar Nellie geschafft! Eine von 12... Und diesmal lautet die Aufgabe "do your thing". Mach Dein Ding... Es geht darum, den eigenen Stil zu zeigen. Hmmm, schwer. Ich habe einige Zeit überlegt. Was ist eigentilch mein Stil? Klar ist, ich mag keine zu lauten Farbkombinationen. Ich liebe Lagen und Spitze und Blumen und mein Papier zu sanden, füge lieber noch eine Kleinigkeit hinzu als die Karte "leer" zu lassen. Am wichtigsten aber ist es meiner Meinung nach, daß der Stil immer dem Motiv angepaßt werden muß. Ein Manga-Motiv wird sicher auf einer Vintage-Karte nicht so toll aussehen. Ebenso ein Vintage Motiv in knallbunten Farben. Und darum habe ich wie immer einfach drauflos gearbeitet und geschaut, wohin mich meine Ideen heute führen. Und entstanden ist dabei diese Karte...

Happy thursday to all of you! Oh, I am so excited - I made it into round 2 of the Simply Sassy Competition at Sugar Nellie! One of 12... And this time we are asked to "do your thing". It´s about showing your style. Hmm, that´s hard. I have been thinking a while. What is my style? Well, I don´t like those very bright color combinations. I love layers and lace and flowers and sanding my paper, prefer to add a little more than leaving the card plain. But I think that a very important thing is to match the style with the image. A Manga image will probably not look too cute on a vintage card. And a vintage image might look not so pretty in very bright colors. And so I did what I do every time - just making the card and seeing where my ideas leed me to this day. And I ended up with this card...

Ich habe ein kleines Extra versteckt - und wenn man die Schleife öffnet, kann man den oberen Teil der Karte mit dem Motiv aufklappen. Darunter versteckt sich dann ein weiteres Motiv und eine Einladung zu einem Girls-Day:

I added a little extra - if you open the bow on the front a part of the front including the image can be opened. Underneath there´s another image and an invitation to a girls day:


"Luv a Latte" und "Bella Bunting", so heißen die beiden Motive und mir hat die Idee, die beiden auf einer Geburtstagskarte zu kombinieren von Anfang an gefallen.

"Luv a Latte" and "Bella Bunting", that´s what these cuties are called and I loved the idea of combining those two on a birthday card.

Hier ist eine Nahaufnahme von "Luv a Latte" - die grüne Lage unter dem Motiv ist auch sichtbar, wenn die Kartenfront geschlossen ist, darum konnte ich darauf keine Verzierungen anbringen. Ich wollte nicht, daß man sie sieht wenn die Karte geschlossen ist.

Hiere´s a close up of "Luv a Latte" - the green layer of paper under the image can also be seen when the card front is closed. That´s why I didn´t add any more embellishments under the flap. I didn´t want them to peak out when the front is closed.

"Blue Christmas", also eine Weihnachtskarte in Blau, ist das Thema bei Stamptacular Sunday.

"Blue Christmas" is the theme at Stamptacular Sunday and it means they want a christmas card using blue colors.

Damit paßt das Thema perfekt zum Thema bei Papertake Weekly (blue and green must not be seen) und Simon Says (Weihnachtskarte ohne rot und grün).

So their theme is matching perfectly with the one at Papertake Weekly (blue and green must not be seen) and Simon Says (christmas card without green and red).

Das süße Sarah Kay Motiv habe ich heute ausnahmsweise mal mit Prismacolors coloriert - war mal wieder eine Abwechslung, aber nichts geht über Copics!LOL

Since ages I used my Prismacolors to color the cute Sarah Kay image - it was fun but there´s nothing better than my Copics!LOL

Cupcake Craft # 119

Wunderschönen Montag! Ich hoffe, Ihr hattet einen gemütlichen ersten Advent...
Auch heute gibt es eine neue Challenge bei Cupcake Craft - und das Thema durfte ich aussuchen. Ganz in Adventsstimmung habe ich mich für "light it up" entschieden. Und Ihr sollt irgendwie eine Kerze auf Eurer Karte verwenden. Die muß nicht echt sein, sondern darf auch auf dem Motiv, auf dem Papier oder als Die Cut erscheinen...

Happy monday! I hope you all had a wonderful 1st of advent yesterday...
Also today we have a new challenge at Cucpake Craft - and it was my turn to pick the theme. Being totally in the christmas mood I went with "light it up". So, please include a candle somewhere on your project. It doesn´t have to be a real one - it can be the image, on the printed paper, as a die cut...

Ich hatte mir in den Kopf gesetzt, einen "verschickbaren Adventskranz" zu machen, bei dem man die Kerzen auch noch echt anzünden kann und den man z. B. ins Büro mitnehmen kann oder ähnliches. Und wenn ich mir was in den Kopf gesetzt habe... So sieht die "Karte" aus, wenn sie den Empfänger erreicht:

I had the idea of making a "shipable advent´s wreath" that you can even light up the candles and that you i. e. can bring to work etc. And if I have an idea... So, this is the "card" once the recipient gets it in the mail:


Der obere Teil ist wie eine Easel-Card gearbeitet, so daß das Motiv auch in aufgeklapptem Zustand noch zu sehen ist:

Im unteren Teil habe ich neben dem "Adventskranz" noch eine kleine Schachtel eingearbeitet, in der sich die Kerzen befinden:

On the inside I did not only put up the advent´s wreath but also add a little box in which the candles are stored for transport:


So sieht der Adventskranz dann mit Kerzen bestückt aus:

Und natürlich ist der Kranz auch geschmückt: mit karierten Schleifen und roter Glitzer-Perlen-Kette (danke dafür Moni!):

Das Motiv ist von Magnolia: "Tilda as Lucia". Sie war einfach perfekt für dieses Projekt! Den Text habe ich mit dem Computer geschrieben, die Papiere sind von Dovecraft, GCD und Magnolia.

Es ist Montag - und somit Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Cupcake Craft. Diesmal mit dem Thema "Fairytales", also Märchen.

It´s monday - and so it´s time for a new challenge over at Cupcake Craft. And this week we have picked the theme of fairytales for you.

Ihr könnt das Thema interpretieren, wie Ihr möchtet - ein echtes Märchen zum Thema nehmen, Prinzessinen, Feen, Drachen und andere Fantasie-Wesen... Ich habe mich für den süßen Wichtel von Magnolia entschieden. Nicht nur, weil sie so prima in die Jahreszeit paßt sondern vor allem natürlich weil Märchen ohne Wichtel nicht gehen. Und manchmal wünsche ich mir ein paar davon ins Haus ;O) Zum matten habe ich den super-glitzernden und garantiert bröselfreien Glitter-Cardstock verwendet.

You can interpret this theme in any way you want to - use a real fairytale as your theme, add princesses, fairies, dragons and other fantasy creatures.... I went with this cute elf by Magnolia. Not only because she matches perfectly this time of the year but mainly because fairytales without elfs are a no-go. And sometimes I wish some of these little creatures would come to my house during the night ;O)

Bei Lovely Hänglar Only soll diesmal eine "nicht-quadratische Easel Card" gemacht werden. Warum dann nicht rund? Auch wenn ich feststellen muß, daß sie etwas unsicher steht.

At Lovely Hänglar Only they want us to make a "non-square easel card". So, why not round? Allthough I have to admit that it´s not standing too good.

Die Farbvorgabe kommt von Just Us Girls: Schwarz, Creme und Packpapierbraun.

The colors are given by Just Us Girls: black, cream and kraft.
