A Spoon Full Of Sugar # 94, Everybody Art # 81 und Stamp with Fun # 49

Einen wunderschönen Dienstag Euch allen! Könnt Ihr den Frühling spüren? Bei mir war er heute sogar im Briefkasten - in Form von 6 wunderbaren neuen Stempeln designed von Norma Fickel, die es ab Samstag, 13.03., bei Whiff Of Joy geben wird. Eine Motiv ist schöner als das andere - und alle holen Sonne und Freude am Draußensein nach Hause.
Das Motiv oben heißt "Joy Of Spring" - kann es einen besseren Namen dafür geben?

Happy tuesday to all of you! Can you feel the spring coming? At my house it arrived today - in a little envelope containing 6 new stamps designed by Norma Fickel. Those will be available from saturday, 13th of march, at the Whiff Of Joy online store. One image is even cuter than the other - and all bring sunshine and the joy of being outside at your home.
The image I used is called "Joy Of Spring" - can there be a better name for it?

Ich habe diese Karte für die aktuelle Challenge bei Stamp with Fun gemacht, bei der es das Thema "Frühling" gibt.
Bei Everybody Art gibt es ein Rezept: 2 Papiere, 2 Blumen, 2 Knöpfe. Ich habe die beiden Motivpapiere einfach mehrfach verwendet.
Und bei A Spoon Full Of Sugar heißt die Aufgabe, etwas zu "recyceln", also wieder zu verwenden. Bei mir sind das die beiden Knöpfe, die von der zu klein gewordenen Kleidung meiner Kinder stammt.

I made this card for the challenge over at Stamp with Fun, where they have the theme of spring for us.
At Everyboday Art they have a recipe: 2 papers, 2 flowers, 2 buttons. I used each of the papers twice to create more layers.
And at A Spoon Full Of Sugar they dare us with having to recycle something. Well, I used some buttons I cut off from the clothes of my kids that don´t fit anymore.

Hallo und guten Start in die neue Woche! Montag, das heißt natürlich auch, daß wie bei Cupcake Craft eine neue Challenge für Euch haben. Diesmal hat Donna das Thema ausgewählt und sich für "flower power" entschieden. Ein tolles Thema!
Gesponsert werden wir diese Woche von Digital Delights, die einen Gutschein zur Verfügung stellen. Und auch jeder aus dem DT hat sich ein Motiv aussuchen dürfen. Ich habe diesen Hasen gesehen, und ihn mir sofort in mitten eines Blumenmeeres vorstellen können. Coloriert ist er natürlich mit Copics. Die Blumen habe ich selbst gemacht... (ein Tutorial wird es bald mal geben).

Hello and happy monday! Monday, that of course means, that we at Cupcake Craft have a new challenge for you. This week it was Donna´s turn to choose the theme and she decided to go with "flower power". What a great idea!
We are sponsored by Digital Delights this week and they are offering a gift voucher. And also each of the DT member was given one image to. I saw this cute little rabbit and just saw him sitting in a bunch of flowers, peaking through. He is colored with Copics, the flowers are handmade.

Sketchy Colors # 14 und Stempelträume # 21

Ich mußte leider eine Beileids-Karte machen... Das sind immer so unschöne Anlässe, vor allem, wen die/der Verstorbene eigentlich noch viel zu jung war.
Ich habe sie nach diesem Sketch von Sketchy Colors gemacht:

Und das Thema von Stempelträume paßt hier auch wunderbar: schlicht und einfach. Viel Deko ist auf solchen Karten ja nicht angebracht.
Fast alle Stempel sind von Stampin´Up, bis auf den "Hintergrund" auf dem ausgestanzten Nestie, das ist von Rollergraph. Das hellgraue Motivpapier ist von DCWV.

And the theme over at Stempelträume is perfect for this card as well: "clean and simple". There isn´t much decoration requird for that kind of cards.
Nearly all stamps are by Stampin´Up - only the background on the nestie die was made using a Rollergraph stamp. The light grey designer´s paper is by DCWV.

Stamp Something, Sketch Saturday # 93, Sweet Stampin # 16 und Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge # 73

Ich weiß, sonderlich farbenfroh ist diese Karte nicht, aber das liegt am neuen Thema von Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge: shades of grey, also Grautöne. Außer z. B. Hautfarbe sind keine anderen Farben erlaubt. Aber im Alter meiner "Kleinen" ist schwarz und weiß total cool... Somit paßt die Karte auch perfekt zum Thema von Stamp Something: girly. Und da sie ja erst 8 Jahre sind paßt die Karte auch zur Sweet Stampin Challenge # 16, bei der eine Karte für ein Kind gemacht werden soll.

I know, this card isn´t very colorfull but it´s because of the new theme over at Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge: shades of grey. Colors like skintones are the only other ones allowed. But at the age of my "little ones" a black and white color combo is sooo cool. So this card also matches the new theme over at Stamp Something which is "girly". And since they are only 8 years old this card also matches the Sweet Stampin Challenge # 16 where they want us to make "something for a child".

Wunderschönen Freitag Euch allen! Es schneit schon wieder... Wie gut, daß wir uns den Frühling zumindest auf der Karte ins Haus holen können. Diese hier habe ich nach dem neuen Sketch der Friday Sketchers gemacht:

Happy Friday to all of you! It started snowing again this morning... I am really glad I am able to get see spring at least in form of a spring-ish card. This one was made following the sketch over at Friday Sketchers:



Seht Ihr den tollen 3D-Effekt auf der Karte? Das liegt an der "Tent Card", einer speziellen Falttechnik. Und die ist Thema der Special Monthly Challenge bei Just Magnolia. Eine super einfache Anleitung gibt es dort natürlich auch.

Can you see the great 3D effect? It is created by making a "tent card", a special folding technique. And this one is the theme at the Special Monthly Challenge at Just Magnolia. Of course they also have a super easy to follow tutorial up there as well.

Bei den Daring Cardmakers ist es Zeit für den Geburts-Stein des Monats März: der Aquamarin. Das bedeutet also türkis/blau-grün für die Karte.

At Daring Cardmakers it´s time to do the birthstone of march challenge. This is the Aquamarine - so it means turquoise/blue-green colors on the card.

Und bei Stampin´for the Weekend ist das neue Thema monochrome. Paßt doch perfekt zu den anderen Themen!

Heute gibt es mal eine monochrome Karte, denn das Thema bei Whiff Of Joy Challenge ist "braun und ceme" und da bietet sich das ja dann an.

Und bei PaperPlay heißt das neue Thema "just because". Macht also eine Karte "einfach so" - es muß ja nicht immer ein besonderer Anlaß sein.

And at PaperPlay the new theme is called "just because". So, make a card just because - there doesn´t have to be a special occasion to tell someone you think of him, right?

Ich habe einen der tollen Stempel aus dem Store-Kit von Whiff Of Joy verwendet. Diese Kit gibt es nur beim "Stempel-Laden Eures Vertrauens". Auf der Seite von Whiff Of Joy findet Ihr einen Link, der alle Geschäfte auflistet, die diese Stempel führen. Oder fragt doch einfach mal nach.
Um den fleißigen Handwerker nicht in der Luft sitzen zu lassen habe ich ihn auf das "Herbstgras" gesetzt. Und die Nagel-Brads paßten perfekt dazu.

I used one of the great stamps from the Store Stamp Kit by Whiff Of Joy. This kit you can´t order from Whiff Of Joy - you can only purchase it at your local stamp store. At the Whiff Of Joy Site you can find a link to a site that lists all shops in your country that carry their stamps. Or just ask in your store, maybe they can and want to order them for you. To not have this handsome young man sitting in the nowhere I put the "fall grass" around him. And the nail brads match this image perfectly.

Simon Says Mothersday/Girly, Copic Colour Challenge # 54 , Papertake Weekly und Inspirational Card Sketches # 56

Und hier ist noch eine Karte für heute - wenn auch eine "schnelle". Kennt Ihr schon dieses süße Motiv? Nein? Es ist eines der tollen Stempel von D´Amour Allure - und ich wurde gefragt, ob ich mit ins DT mag. Kann man bei so schönen Stempeln nein sagen? Dies hier ist mein absolutes Lieblingsmotiv - ich liebe die Sommersprossen und dazu mußte ich ihr einfach rötliche Haare geben.

It´s one of the beautiful stamps by D´Amour Allure - and I have been asked if I want to join their DT. Can you resist those cute stamps? This one is my favourite one - I love the freckles and just had to add a red touch to her hair.

Auch das Thema bei Papertake Weekly habe ich eingebaut: bows, buttons, brads und bling, also Schleifen, Knöpfe, Brads und Glitzer. Nur eines, alle - ganz wie´s gefällt. Bis auf die Knöpfe habe ich alles verwendet: eine Schleife über dem Text, Brads um die Blumen zu befestigen und Glitzer auf den Schnörkeln.

I also used the items required for the new challenge over at Papertake Weekly: bows, buttons, brads and bling. Use either one, or all - just as much as you like. I only missed the buttons but was able to use the rest: a bow on top of the tag, brads to fix the flowers and bling on the swirls.

Bei Copic Colour Creations ist die neue Farbkombi: B-15 Aqua (im Oberteil), Y-21 Buttercup Yellow (in den Blümchen) und BG-93 Light Crockery Blue (in der Hose).

Ich habe Honey Tilda von Magnolia verwendet, nicht nur weil sie so süß ist sondern auch, weil sie einfach super zu den vorgegebenen Themen paßt.

I used "Honey Tilda" by Magnolia, not only because she´s such a cutie but also because she matches perfectly the given themes.

Der Post-Titel verrät es bereits: es gibt ein neues Digi-Image von Elisabeth Bell! Exklusiv, nur bei ihr und nur für kurze Zeit. Und wir vom Belles´n´Whistles Designteam dürfen es wieder vorstellen. Danke dafür!

Like you may have guessed from the post title: there is a new digi image by Elisabeth Bell! Exclusiv, only available at her site and only for a short time. And we from the Belles´n´Whistles DT are proud to be choosen to present this image. Thanks for that!

Das Motiv heißt "Pat-a-Cake" und ich dachte mir gleich, daß das ein englischer Kinderreim ist. Ach, wie viele davon fallen mir ein, die wir als Kinder rauf- und runtergesagt haben... Google hat sich mal wieder als sehr hilfreich erwiesen denn ich habe den Reim sofort gefunden:

The image is called "Pat-a-Cake". As you know I am german and I am not fond of english nursery rhymes. But a little googling helped me and here it is:

Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker's man.

Bake me a cake as fast as you can;

Pat it and prick it and mark it with B,

Put it in the oven for baby and me.

Zurück zum Motiv ;o) Ich finde es wieder mal zauberhaft! Ist es nicht wunderbar, "die Große" und "den Kleinen" zusammen spielen zu sehen? Und wenn man möchte, kann man sie aber auch als Mutter und Sohn betrachten. Das gibt dem Motiv so viele Möglichkeiten!

Let´s talk about that image. I think it is adorable! Isn´t it wonderful to see the "big girl" playing the with the "little boy"? And if you want to you can also use this as a mother and her son - this is giving so many more options to use this image!

Bei dem Motiv handelt es sich um ein Digi, das bedeutet, ihr könnt es sofort haben und am PC ausdrucken, so oft Ihr wollt. Und ihr könnt sogar die Größe an Euer Projekt anpassen.

This again is a digi image. That means you can use it immediately after purchasing and print it as many times as you want to. And you can even adjust the size to what you need for your project.

Außerdem habe ich die neue Farbkombi bei Sketchy Colors verwendet: rosa, rot und türkis. Zuerst habe ich etwas geschluckt, aber das Ergebnis gefällt mir doch sehr gut!

Und bei Stamptacular Sunday heißt es diesmal "back in time". Interpretiert das, wie Ihr möchtet. Mit Distressing, Erinnerungen...

Ich habe es schon immer geliebt, zu backen. Und daher ist "Tania Baking" von Belles´n´Whistles perfekt. Ich habe eine Schicht UTEE darüber gelegt. Leider habe ich nicht sofort bemerkt, daß ich statt des klaren Stiftes mit Embossingtinte den hellblau eingefärbten erwischt habe. Ist genial, wenn man sehen will wo man gestempelt hat. Aber leider hat die vormals rosafarbene Schürze nun einen blaustich - genauso wie die graue Bluse...

I love baking since ever. And so "Tania Baking" from Belles´n´Whistles is the perfect stamp for me. I added some UTEE to the image. Unfortunately I didn´t realize that I was using the light blue embossing pen instead the clear one. This is great if you want to see where you stamped - but it´s definately the wrong thing for adding ink to an image you want to add clear embossing powder to. Well, now the previously pink apron and the originally grey shirt have a shade of light blue...

Dieser süße Hase von Magnolia war perfekt für dieses Thema. Ich habe ihn in weiß-rosa coloriert und auch sonst viel frühlingshaftes Pink verwendet. Und zum Thema circles paßen natürlich die tollen Blumen, die aus Kreisen ganz einfach selbst zusammengebastelt werden können.
Die Papiere sind aus dem neuen Penny Lane Papierblock von My Mind´s Eye, der Spruch ist von Studio G, coloriert habe ich mit Copics.

This cute little easter bunny was perfect for this theme. I colored him in pink and white and used a lot of spring-ish pink on the rest of my card too. And to match the circles theme I made some of this easy to make yourself flowers again.

Das Motiv ist von Sarah Kay bzw. der Stempel davon natürlich von Stampavie. Und diese Motive schreien geradezu nach Vintage. Ich habe auf dieser Karte lauter Sachen ausprobiert, die ich noch nie gemacht habe: die Blumen aus Kreisen und Spitze, Acrylfarbe an den Rändern und einen Streifen Karton... Ich finde, es macht sich echt gut!
Damit paßt die Karte super zu Crafty Ann´s Challenge, bei der etwas neues ausprobiert bzw. eine Technik verwendet werden soll, die man nicht so oft verwendet hat wie man gerne hätte.

The image is by Sarah Kay and the stamp of course by Stampavie. And these images are begging for vintage looking cards. I tried a lot of things I never tried before: flowers from circles and lace, acrylic paint on the edges and some cardboard from an old post box... I really love all ofthem!
With all these new things on it, this card matches the challenge over at Crafty Ann´s Challenge where we are asked to try something new or something you didn´t use as often as you would have liked to.

Bei Colour Create ist die neue Farbvorgabe: schwarz, rot und creme-weiß.

Und bei Charisma Cardz heißt es "birthday card with a twist" - also Geburtstagskarte mit einem kleinen Extra. Und das besteht darin, daß eine Kerze darauf sein muß. Ob als Embellishments, im Motiv oder wie auch immer ist freigestellt.

And at Charisma Cardz it´s all about a "birthday card with a twist". The twist is that we have to use a candle on our card - if this is an embellishment, in your image or in another way is up to you.

Und zu guter Letzt paßt die Karte auch zum neuen Thema bei den Daring Cardmakers. Das lautet "here comes the sun". Wie man das Thema interpretiert, ist jedem selbst überlassen. Ich finde, daß der große Kreis im Hintergrund zusammen mit dem Rot aussieht wie ein Sonnenauf- bzw. -untergang.

And finally this card also matches the new theme at Daring Cardmakers, which is "here comes the sun". How you include this in your card is up to you. I think the big circle in the background together with the reds looks like a sunset or sunrise.

"For a mother", also für eine Mutter (offenbar muß es nicht die eigene sein), lautet das neue Thema bei PaperPlay Challenge.

"For a mother" - seems like it doesn´t have to be your own - is, what PaperPlay Challenge has chosen as their new theme.

Bei Hanna und Friends gibt es die Farbkombi "blau und braun".

Bei Cute Card Thursday heißt es diese Woche "Ribbon-tastic". Der Name der Challenge sagt es: benutzt Ribbon - viel oder wenig ist Euch überlassen.

Das süße Motiv auf meiner Karte ist aus dem 1. Store Kit von Whiff Of Joy mit dem Namen Blooming Spring. Dies ist nicht das Kit, das direkt bei Whiff Of Joy bestellt werden kann. Die Papiere sind sowohl aus dem neuen Block von My Mind´s Eye als auch aus dem neuen Laura Ashley Set. Der Spruch ist von Studio G, zum matten habe ich Bazzil Basic Cardstock verwendet.

Simon Says.... hat diesmal das wunderbare Thema "vintage with flowers". Und mir fällt gerade auf, daß ich ganz ohne Spitze ausgekommen bin! ;o)

Außerdem paßt die Karte zu Flutter By Wednesday, wo es diese Woche eine offene Challenge gibt. Das heißt, man kann seiner Phantasien freien Lauf lassen, nur ein Schmetterling, eine Elfe oder ein Engel müssen irgendwo auf der Karte vorkommen.

Bei dem tollen Thema mußte ich einfach einen Sarah Kay Stempel verwenden. Und dazu paßten dann ganz prima die neuen Papiere von My Mind´s Eye aus der Serie Bella Bella. Der Text ist von Whiff Of Joy.

Das Motiv ist ebenso wie der Text auf der Vorderseite und die Flieder-Blüten aus dem Stempelkit "birdie love" von Whiff Of Joy. Ich habe das Motiv mit UTEE überzogen und nach dem Abkühlen etwas gebrochen.

"Going in circles" ist das Thema bei Stamptacular Sunday - darum habe ich viele kleine Knöpfe auf meiner Karte angebracht.

Das Motiv ist ein weiteres aus dem Stamp Kit Birdie Love von Whiff Of Joy. Es enthält neben wunderschönen Blumen, einem süßen Vogelhaus und drei wundervollen Figuren auch viele Sprüche. Einen davon habe ich auf dieser Karte ebenfalls verwendet. Aber es ist nur für kurze Zeit erhältlich...

The image I used is another one from the Stamp Kit Birdie Love by Whiff Of Joy. It contains not only beautiful flowers, a cute bird house and three wonderful Willow stamps also a lot of sentiments. One of them is used on this card as well. But the kit is only available for a limited time!

Roses on Paper # 32

Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Roses On Paper! Und diesmal lautet das Thema "card for a boy/male". Oh je kann ich Euch stöhnen hören... Und ich gebe es zu, auch ich habe damit immer meine Probleme. Aber nachdem ich die Idee für die obige Karte erstmal hatte, ging alles fast wie von selbst.

It´s time for a new challenge over at Roses On Paper! This week our theme is "card for a boy/male". I can hear you... And I have to admit that these are hard for me as well. But once I had the idea for my card everything came together so easily.

Das Motiv ist "Heartbreaker Edwin" von Magnolia. Ich habe silbernen Spiegelkarton mit der Cuttlebug embosst und auch das schwarze Papier ist einmal durch die Cuttlebug gedreht worden. Dazu habe ich dann mit weißer Stempelfarbe von Stampin´Up die Ränder und das Relief etwas hervorgehoben. Der Filmstreifen ist von Tim Holtz. Das "X" ist ein Chipboardbuchstabe, den ich mit silbernem Embossingpulver überzogen habe. Auch der Text - ebenfalls von Stampin´Up - ist silber embosst. Im Hintergrund habe ich ein - wohl ziemlich altes und gebraucht gekauftes - Stampin´ Wheel von Stampin Up verwendet, das ein Lineal oder einen Zollstock darstellt. Die Ränder um das Motiv und am roten Papier sind mit schwarzer Tinte distresst. Dazu dann noch ein paar Schrauben-Brads und Spiegel-Mosaik-Steinchen und die Karte war fertig.

The image is "Heartbreaker Edwin" by Magnolia. I used some silver mirror cardstock in my Cuttlebug to create that look of a metal sheet. Also the black paper was embossed and to make the texture pop out some more I added some white ink by Stampin Up. The film strip ribbon is by Tim Holtz. The "X" is a chipboard letter that I heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I used this powder for the saying - also by Stampin Up - as well. In the background I used a - quite old and used bought - stamping wheel by Stampin Up that shows a ruler. The edges around the image and the red paper are distressed with black ink. I added some screw brads and some mirror mosaic pieces to finish the card.

Und auch das Thema von Saturday Spotlight habe ich eingebaut: "mess around". Sie wollen eine "unordentliche" Karte - ich denke, so kann man es übersetzten - mit gerissenen oder distressten Kanten oder auch zerknitterten Papieren. Wenn Ihr auf die Karte klickt und sie Euch größer anschaut, kann man mein Chaos besser erkennen.

And I was able to include also the theme over at Saturday Spotlight: mess around. They want cards with teared or distressed edges or wrinkled papers. If you click on the card to see it lager you´ll be able to see the mess I made better.

"Friends" lautet das Thema, das Catherine sich für die neue Challenge bei Cupcake Craft ausgedacht hat. Ein wunderbares Thema mit so vielen Möglichkeiten...

Das Motiv ist "Beary Big Hugs" von Belles´n´Whistles. Eines meiner all time favourites! Der Spruch ist aus dem Herbstkit 2009 von Whiff Of Joy. Zum Colorieren habe ich meine Copics verwendet - was sonst? LOL

Außerdem habe ich die Farbkombi von Just Us Girls verwendet: Raspberry, Chocolate, Ivory und Coral. Eine tolle Farbkombi, die ich mit etwas Grau ergänzt habe.
Und auch das aktuelle Thema bei Totally PaperCrafts habe ich eingebaut: Lots of Spots, also viele kleine Punkte. Darum habe ich das schoko-braune Papier mit den weißen Punkten von Magnolia verwendet.

I also used the color combo Just Us Girls has picked for us: raspberry, chocolate, ivory and coral. A wonderful combo that I just added some grey for the trousers.
And also the new theme over at Totally PaperCraft was included in my card: lots of spots. So I used that chocolate colored paper with all those tiny white spots by Magnolia.
