Einen wunderschönen 2. Advent Euch allen! Morgen ist Nikolaus... und diese kleinen Geschenke werden dann das Pult der Lehrerin(nen) meiner Zwillinge zieren, zusammen mit einem kleinen Tannenzweig. Und eine englische Variante geht heute Nachmittag an eine amerikanische Freundin, die mit den Kindern Weihnachtsgeschenke bastelt.

Happy 2nd sunday of advent to all of you! It´s St. Nikolaus´ day tomorrow... and these little gifts will be on the table of my twins´ teachers. Schönen Samstag! Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins - und diesmal kommt die Anleitung von mir. Und ich dachte mir, so kurz vor Weihnachten sind Boxen wohl sehr gefragt und habe eine schnelle und doch nicht gewöhnliche Box für Euch.

Happy saturday! It´s time for another issue of Stempeleinmaleins - and this week it´s my turn to do a tutorial for you. Well, I thought with christmas being quite close boxes is what everyone of us needs and so I made a tutorial for a quick but not usual box for you.

Hier seht Ihr die Vorderseite - schön dekoriert und so ist die Box an sich schon ein schönes Geschenk:

Und so sieht sie aufgeklappt aus. Sie hat links und rechts je eine kleine Box - z. B. für Karten auf der einen Seite und eine Schokolade auf der anderen...

Schönen Freitag! Es ist schon Nachmittag - und das Licht zum Fotografieren hat sich bereits verabschiedet... Also mal wieder Entschuldigung für das Foto.

Happy friday! The day went by too fast and so it´s afternoon - and the light for taking pictures is bad... So once again sorry for the bad picture.

Heute habe ich mich für eine Shaker-Card entschieden - mit vielen schönen Schneeflocken, die um den Schneemann rieseln. Denn als ich den Sketch der Friday Sketchers sah, fiel mir ganz sponten "Schneekugel" ein:

Der süße Schneemann ist von Magnolia - und er war das einzige, das in meinen Bolblister gepaßt hat. Allerdings nicht ohne tricksen. Ich habe den Ministempel gestempelt und dann am PC vergrößert - sonst hätte er doch sehr verloren gewirkt im Schneesturm!

The cute snowman is by Magnolia - and he was the only one fitting into my bolblister. But I had to do a little trick. I stamped the mini stamp and made it just a bit bigger using the computer - if I wouldn´t have done that he would have looked pretty lost in the snowstorm!

Belles´n´Whistles Mini Release

Herzlich willkommen zurück! Heute haben wir bei Belles´n´Whistles gibt es ein Mini-Release, bestehend aus nur einem Stempel. Aber was für ein süßer! Die Idee/Vorlage dazu stammt von unserer Lynda und Elisabeth Bell hat ein zauberhaftes Motiv dazu gezaubert. Und so konnten wir es einfach nicht irgendwo verstauben lassen...

Das Motiv heißt "Merry Sledding". Man kann Belle direkt lachen hören während sie mit dem Schlitten den Berg herunterfährt und ihr der Wind um die Ohren saust und dicke Schneeflocken vom Himmel fallen.

I have a card for you - as usual - because we have a new challenge over at Whiff Of Joy: untraditional christmas. You can go with unusual colors, an not-christmassy image...

Ich habe mich für eine Farbkombi von türkis, mint und braun entschieden - die ist nämlich Vorgabe bei Paperminutes. Und sie ist wunderschön für eine winterliche Karte und trotzdem untraditionell für Weihnachten...
Das Motiv ist ein ziemlich altes von Whiff Of Joy - und ich weiß nichtmal den Namen - aber definitiv eines meiner "all time favourites"!

I went with a color combo of turquoise, mint and brown - because it is given by Paperminutes. And it´s a wonderful one for a wintery card but still untraditional for christmas.

Wunderschönen Montag! Ich hoffe, Ihr hattet einen gemütlichen ersten Advent...
Auch heute gibt es eine neue Challenge bei Cupcake Craft - und das Thema durfte ich aussuchen. Ganz in Adventsstimmung habe ich mich für "light it up" entschieden. Und Ihr sollt irgendwie eine Kerze auf Eurer Karte verwenden. Die muß nicht echt sein, sondern darf auch auf dem Motiv, auf dem Papier oder als Die Cut erscheinen...

Also today we have a new challenge at Cucpake Craft - and it was my turn to pick the theme. Being totally in the christmas mood I went with "light it up". So, please include a candle somewhere on your project. It doesn´t have to be a real one - it can be the image, on the printed paper, as a die cut...

Ich hatte mir in den Kopf gesetzt, einen "verschickbaren Adventskranz" zu machen, bei dem man die Kerzen auch noch echt anzünden kann und den man z. B. ins Büro mitnehmen kann oder ähnliches. Und wenn ich mir was in den Kopf gesetzt habe... So sieht die "Karte" aus, wenn sie den Empfänger erreicht:

I had the idea of making a "shipable advent´s wreath" that you can even light up the candles and that you i. e. can bring to work etc. And if I have an idea... So, this is the "card" once the recipient gets it in the mail:


Der obere Teil ist wie eine Easel-Card gearbeitet, so daß das Motiv auch in aufgeklapptem Zustand noch zu sehen ist:

Im unteren Teil habe ich neben dem "Adventskranz" noch eine kleine Schachtel eingearbeitet, in der sich die Kerzen befinden:

On the inside I did not only put up the advent´s wreath but also add a little box in which the candles are stored for transport:


So sieht der Adventskranz dann mit Kerzen bestückt aus:

Und natürlich ist der Kranz auch geschmückt: mit karierten Schleifen und roter Glitzer-Perlen-Kette (danke dafür Moni!):

Schönen ersten Advent Euch allen! Ich weiß, meine Karte paßt jetzt nicht wirklich dazu, aber das neue Thema bei Magnolia Down Under ist "Sommer" - und da ein Großteil des Teams in Australien lebt und dort nun Sommer ist macht das ja auch Sinn, gell. ;O) Dafür habe ich "Tilda und Edwin Dancing" aus der Weihnachts-Kollektion von Magnolia verwendet und finde, die beiden machen sich auch super auf einer Sommer-Karte.

Happy 1st of advent to all of you! I know, my card is not really fitting to it but our new theme at Magnolia Down Under is "summer" - and since the main part of the team lives in Australia where it is summer now it really makes sense, right? ;O) To keep it a bit christmassy I used Tilda and Edwin Dancing from this year´s christmas collection and I think they look wonderful on a summer-ish card.

Das Motiv ist von Lili of the Valley, die Papiere quer Beet. Der Airmail-Rub-On ist genauso wie der Briefmarken-Stempel von Stampin´Up. Auf den Rosen und rund um ein paar der Papiere habe ich weiße Distress Ink aufgetragen, um den Eindruck von Schnee zu erwecken. Und darauf ist dann noch ein wenig Glitzer.

Ich bin immer noch im Back-Wahn - nur noch 2 Sorten, dann habe ich die 16 geschafft und die Adventszeit kann kommen. Und bis Sonntag habe ich dann evtl. auch Lust, eines zu probieren. ;O)
Um zwischendurch mal aus der Küche zu kommen ist das Basteln natürlich ideal. Und so ist heute zwischen Demler und Früchtebroten diese Karte entstanden - und zwar nach dem Sketch von Double Dutch:

Nach 6 gebackenen Sorten Plätzchen - und einer Essiggurke als Ausgleich - bin ich auch basteltechnisch beim Thema geblieben. Und das nicht nur, weil das Thema bei Cutie Sunday "Weihnachtsbäckerei" lautet.

After finishing 6 different kinds of christmas cookies yesterday - and some mixed pickles afterwards - I stick to the theme also with my crafting. And not only because the theme at Cutie Sunday is "christmas baking".

Bei der Bastelmühle sollen wir uns von einem Weihnachtslied inspirieren lassen - was könnte es hier anderes sein als "In der Weihnachtsbäckerei" von Rolf Zuckowski?

At Bastelmühle they want us to get inspired by a christmas song. Here it just has to be "In der Weihnachtsbäckerei" by Rolf Zuckowski - which means something like "the christmas baking" and is a christmas song for kids. And I guess every german kindergarden kid knows it, and knows how to sing it!

Zusätzlich sollen leuchtende Farben verwendet werden. Da kam mir die vorgegeben Farbkombi von Christmas Card Challenges genau recht: helles rosa, grau, orange und weiß.

And additional we ask you to use bold/bright colors. So the colors given by Christmas Card Challenges were perfect: light pink, grey, orange and white.

Ich habe "Snow Angel" aus der Snowbabes Kollektion verwendet. Gibt es ein Kind, das nicht gerne Schnee-Engel macht? Und ehrlich gesagt mache ich sie heute noch gern.

Es ist Montag - und somit Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Cupcake Craft. Diesmal mit dem Thema "Fairytales", also Märchen.

It´s monday - and so it´s time for a new challenge over at Cupcake Craft. And this week we have picked the theme of fairytales for you.

Ihr könnt das Thema interpretieren, wie Ihr möchtet - ein echtes Märchen zum Thema nehmen, Prinzessinen, Feen, Drachen und andere Fantasie-Wesen... Ich habe mich für den süßen Wichtel von Magnolia entschieden. Nicht nur, weil sie so prima in die Jahreszeit paßt sondern vor allem natürlich weil Märchen ohne Wichtel nicht gehen. You can interpret this theme in any way you want to - use a real fairytale as your theme, add princesses, fairies, dragons and other fantasy creatures.... I went with this cute elf by Magnolia. Not only because she matches perfectly this time of the year but mainly because fairytales without elfs are a no-go. And sometimes I wish some of these little creatures would come to my house during the night ;O)

Schönen Samstag! Wir kommen gerade vom Einkaufen - Plätzchen-Zutaten, ein ganzer Wäschekorb voll. Und morgen soll es dann losgehen. Die Weihnachtsdeko im Haus ist mittlerweile auch gemacht und jetzt fehlen nur noch Weihnachtslieder. Und passend ist heute auch eine Weihnachtskarte entstanden - nach diesem Sketch von Sweet Stampin:

Happy saturday! We just came back from doing the grocery shopping - baking stuff for our christmas cookies. A bunch of stuff! And tomorrow we want to start the baking. The christmas decorations are done too - the only thing missing now are christmas songs. And to fit in the theme I also made a christmas card today - using the sketch from Sweet Stampin:



Bei Stampavie and more und bei Everybody Art ist das Thema "monochrom" - wobei bei Everybody Art noch die Farbe "braun" dazu vorgegeben ist.

Das "D" ist Buchstabe der Woche bei ABC Challenge - D wie Doodling.

Und zum Schluß noch die Challenge von Totally Gorjuss: "not so traditional" - nach dem traditionellen Weihnachtsthema von letzter Woche.

Schönen Freitag! Ich bin wieder zurück aus Stuttgart und darf mich nun offiziell Copic Certified Designer nennen. Wow - selten macht Lernen so viel Spaß!
Dafür gibt es einiges an Challenges aufzuholen - und wie es der Zufall will stehen "Schnee" und "Glitzer" diese Woche hoch im Kurs.

Trotzdem geht das Blog-Leben natürlich ganz normal weiter. Und diesen Mittwoch gibt es wieder eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy - und zwar diesen Sketch:

Happy wednesday to all of you! While you read this I am in Stuttgart doing a Copic Certification Class. I am so excited and for sure there´s so much I´ll learn there. But blog life of course goes on as usually. And this week we have a new challenge at Whiff Of Joy - it´s this sketch:


Eine Freundin hat mich gebeten, eine Karte für sie zu machen. Der Text war vorgegeben, dazu die Info "der Empfänger handwerkt gerne und baut mit Vorliebe Vogelhäuser". Na, dafür ist dieser Stempel von Whiff Of Joy aber perfekt!

A friend of mine asked me to make a card for her. She told me what text to write on it and also that the recipient is a craftsman and loves to build bird houses. So, can there be a better image than this one by Whiff Of Joy?!

Die Zahlen sind gestanzt und mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Schönen Dienstag! Gegen das Grau draußen gehe ich heute mit blau an... Frostigem Blau, mit neutralem weiß, dazu etwas braun und grün. Das ist nämlich die Farbvorgabe von Cards & Things: Sahara Sand, Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi. Und zum Matten habe ich noch grau verwendet. Happy tuesday! I am fighting against the grey outside with a blue card... Frosty blue plus some neutral white, some brown and a wee bit of green. Because these are the colors given by Cards & Things: Sahara Sand, Bashful Blue and Wild Wasabi. And for layering I also added some grey. Der Sketch stammt von Stamptacular Sunday: The sketch is by Stamptacular Sunday: Bei Wild Orchid Challenge heißt es "blue christmas" - also eine Weihnachtskarte in (hauptsächlich) blau. At Wild Orchid Challenge they are having a "blue christmas" - so make a christmas card using mainly blue. Und bei A Spoon Full Of Sugar soll distressed werden. Ich liebe dieses frizzelige für Schneekarten, auf Farbe an den Rändern habe ich diesmal (fast) verzichtet. And at A Spoon Full Of Sugar they want us to do some distressing. I love those fuzzy edges for snowy cards. And to not destroy this effect I didn´t use any color on the edges. Das Motiv und der Schneeflocken-Die sind von Whiff Of Joy, der Tannenbaum-Die von Marianne D, der Text von Catslifepress, die Papiere von Magnolia und K&Company. Außerdem habe ich noch ein paar klare Glitzersteinchen und Stickles auf der Karte verteilt. Cupcake Craft # 117

House Warming - also so etwa eine Karte zum neuen Einzug ins neue Heim - ist das Thema, das wir diese Woche auf Cupcake Craft für Euch haben. Und nachdem ich die letzte Challenge wegen der Renovierung aussetzen mußte, bin ich diesmal natürlich wieder dabei!

House Warming - that´s what we at Cupcake Craft picked as our new theme. And after leaving out last week´s challenge because of the renovations in our house of course I am back again!

Als ich überlegte, was man dazu so machen könnte (noch dazu wo ich solche Karten eigentlich nie brauche und sie somit etwas allgemeiner gestalten wollte) kam mir ziemlich schnell eine Karte in Haus-Form in den Sinn. Und ohne weihnachtlichem Hauch geht momentan auch nichts ;O)

When I was thinking about what to make (and since I like never use those cards and wanted to make it more general) the idea of a house shaped card popped up in my mind quite fast. And it seems like crafting without a christmas-sy touch is like impossible to me at the moment ;O)

Tilda Wants a Hug schien mir perfekt zu sein - sie sieht aus, als würde sie den Betrachter ganz herzlich willkommen heißen. Der Text dazu ist mit dem Computer geschrieben. Und da Tilda natürlich nicht alleine in einem so großen Haus leben kann, habe ich noch den kleinen Hund von Belles´n´Whistles verwendet. Außenrum habe ich dann noch ein paar Mal den Holly Swirl - auch vo Magnolia - gestempelt.

Tilda Wants a Hug seemed to be perfect for this card - seems like she is warmly welcoming the one that is looking at the card. The saying is computer generated. And since Tilda can not live allone in such a big house I used the cute little puppy from Belles´n´Whistles to go with her. the edge is decorated with the Holly Swirl - either by Magnolia.

Auf der Vorderseite der Karte habe ich den Tannenbaum - auch von BnW - neben die Tür gestellt. Der Kranz ist von Stampin´Up, das Papier von Magnolia und Cloud 9.

On the front I put up the little christmas tree - also from BnW - next to the door. The wreath is by Stampin´Up, paper is by Magnolia and Cloud 9.
